Walking the sunset with my boy. Rest easy Primo. I love you.

Our boy Primo has slowly declined during my absence (many miles away from home). We've planned for an at home service as it was appropriate in our case. They have gone above and beyond providing advice and was being thoughtful at the same time. Primo did not make his scheduled appointment and they've continued to show compassion. Business is business, but they are built different. Thank you Dr. Valerie on behalf of my family and myself.

I'm so glad she was here and what a wonderful human being she is. She's definitely in the right line of work. What a special lady this vet Dr. Tracy is who works out of Napa, California... "in loving arms". I Just opened the mail and found this condolence card from her... missing my beautiful boy Joe

Dr. Valerie is truly an angel! My husband and I were overcome with grief at the thought of having to say goodbye to our sweet boy Evander, but cancer was taking him quickly and we did not want him to suffer. We were so fortunate to be referred to In Loving Arms. Dr. Valerie's kindness and compassion towards both Evander, and to us was such a gift. Evander had a peaceful and loving send off. We can't thank Dr. Valerie enough for turning our heartache into comfort knowing we did the right thing for our fur babe!

Over $1400 later and nothing was diagnosed or treated to the point she was better. Fast forward to today! My little Scooby had to be taken there. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly caring and patient. Dr. Hilty listened, was informative, gave me several options for what was going on. I appreciated him and the staff. If in need again, I would return for any future medical emergency needs. They said they were trying to onboard specialized doctors to be onsite. That would be perfect for the area. Thank you Dr. Hilty and staff.

As scary as the situation was, every member of the team treated us with compassion, kindness, and professionalism from the moment we walked through the door. They took the time to explain Leo's injuries, the surgery he needed, the possible complications, and the financial estimate. Even though we were terrified, we never felt rushed or left in the dark. The surgeon kept us updated, answered every question honestly, and made sure we understood exactly what was happening. During surgery, they found that Leo's intestines had protruded through the torn body wall and were very inflamed, but thankfully they were still healthy enough that they did not need to remove any of his intestines. They carefully checked for leakage, thoroughly cleaned the area because of the dog bite, and successfully repaired the body wall. We are so grateful for the skill and expertise that went into his care. What stood out just as much as their medical expertise was their compassion. Everyone treated Leo with such kindness, and they treated our family with the same care during one of the most stressful experiences we've ever been through. Today, Leo has made a full recovery and is completely back to his usual mischievous self. Our little "tough guy" has officially retired from picking fights with dogs many times his size, and we couldn't be more thankful that this team gave him that chance. They didn't just save our dog--they saved a beloved member of our family. They also saved my daughter's best friend. She would have been absolutely devastated if we had lost him, and because of this incredible team, she still gets to grow up with the little dog she loves so much. Thank you for giving our family more time with Leo. We will never forget your kindness, your honesty, and your incredible care. We recommend this hospital without hesitation. Five stars truly aren't enough.

The following morning, after calling several other veterinary offices that were unable to accommodate an emergency surgery, I called Napa West Pet Hospital. They told me to bring her in and had us in for an appointment within 45 minutes. The team carefully walked me through the surgery, the cost, and the expected timeline, and before I knew it, she was headed into surgery. I am incredibly thankful for the care, compassion, and concern they showed us during such a scary and stressful situation. Most of all, I am grateful that they were willing to take on a last-minute emergency case when we desperately needed help.

I was quoted approximately $203 per cat by two different staff members. After the exams were completed, I was informed that the actual cost would be several hundred dollars more than what I had been told. My frustration was not with the price itself, but with the fact that I made my decision based on the information provided by the clinic. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. When I tried to explain that I had relied on the information given by their staff, I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. The owner ultimately ended the discussion without offering any solution. The medical staff were professional, and I did receive the documents I needed. However, the communication regarding pricing and the way the issue was handled left me very disappointed.

We came for testing on swollen lymph nodes, I sent an email asking for medication to be mailed to my house and was met with an email back that my dog had weeks to live, no call that he had cancer. It was heartbreaking. Palliative care seemed like my only option from the information I was given and when I changed my mind to try chemo there was no communication between doctors on his chart. I was told by one doctor to immediately stop Prednisone on account of him starting chemo and his entire neck swelled up, causing him to struggle breathing. When I took him in the other doctor at Alley Cat said that I should never have stopped his current medication. All of his information should have been shared between staff, because I had two different doctors telling me the opposite. I was then advised to rush him to the ER hospital and "hope they could start chemo" to save his life. Chemotherapy is not given out upon request, it is very hard to get appointments as it is and showing up at the ER an hour away they told me I should not have been advised to do so. I believe that this switch in opinions is what caused him to quickly deteriorate, and before we could start chemotherapy he passed away within three weeks.
