I been hearing about this place since the day they open their doors. Lines out the door and the drive thru always busy as hell. I told myself there was nothing that good. The time went by and this place still has people out the door...all I ever heard was "have you been to in and out burger, omg they are so good, I could die happy now". The months went by and I still hadn't tried them. Finally a couple of days ago I decided to stop by. Let's talk about the place. Very clean inside and out, restrooms were among the top most clean bathrooms for a fast food restaurant. All the employees seem young but very well behaved lol, surprising to me for sure. They were so polite and took their time to answer any questions and to make sure my order was correct. That really surprise me and it wasn't only one of the employees, it was all of them. The menu doesn't have too many things so ordering wasn't a big deal. Burger, fries, special sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and no pickles for me but that's how they come if you like pickles then you will be set. The burgers were really good, meat was cooked almost perfect and was juicy!! The fries weren't too good, they tasted like they were under cooked. I would have to say maybe because they are so busy they took the fries out too soon. The price on the meals were fair, even though the burgers are smaller than other places they do have a good taste. Whoever is adding pepper to the fries, please stop. I came home to find my fries that were seasoned with A LOT of pepper. I've been eating at in n out my entire life and I've never gotten my fries with pepper on them. Either that or they gave me someone's fries that they returned. So my first time trying In-n-Out was a total success!!!! The workers were so genuinely nice, and they were super efficient at that! The food came out in less than 10 minutes even though the restaurant was PACKED. The animal style was worth the extra charge, and was just so undeniably good. Well, I'm biased. I grew up in California and had the luxury of getting INO anytime I wanted. Now if there's one nearby on a trip I will often go out of my way to get my hands on some. My recent trip to Texas was no exception. Including the cab ride from our hotel to In-N-Out I think my wife and I's lunch was $50. But sooo worth every penny. Having lived on the West Coast for several years I became a huge fan of In-N-Out Burger. I was so excited when they opened their location in Grapevine and made the drive from Denton often. So you can understand how thrilled I was when the Denton location was announced! Their menu is basic. Their prices are low. The food is made fresh to order. You can't ask for more. Your wait time is going to sometimes be a bit longer than other burger joints, but it's worth it! Clean, fresh food, good prices. What's not to love. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times. I always get a double double animal style, chocolate shake and if hungry, animal style fries. I never realised how much extra it costs on the fries but I don't believe it costs anything extra on the burgers. The fries suck by themselves, but are gooood animal style. Ten times better than McD's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc. The menu is ridiculously simple and makes it easy to order, especially a newcomer such as myself. So, neither my husband or I had ever been to an In-N-Out Burger before. I actually didn't even realize they had opened one until we drove by last month, and I was shocked to see cars wrapped around the building. Then I saw that again a few days later, and had to check out the reviews. Upon entering from the side entrance it had a little bit of a throwback diner vibe on one side and a different color scheme McDonalds vibe on the other side. The staff is in white shirts and the old school paper hats with aprons that look like baby blankets being held with a giant safety pin. The place struck me as very clean and with so much white, that's quite amazing. I did like that there were a lot of handicapped accessible areas and tables but note that the restaurant is only accessible for wheelchairs from the main entrance- the side with all the outdoor seating. Outdoor seating was not an option as it was storming like crazy but some have umbrellas and some are actually covered in a separate area, that would be nice during good weather. I was surprised by how small the menu was- burger, cheeseburger, double. I thought with all the reviews stating things like 'animal style' etc that the menu was larger, apparently there is a secret menu. I wasn't aware of this, but later saw a bunch of articles on it so do your homework on yelp or online for those other options before your visit. Apparently, they'll do anything, I just didn't know this earlier today when we visited for lunch. A normal cheeseburger meal is $5.65 but since we ordered different items we got charged individually. Cheeseburgers are $2.60, they are small, like old school diner style handhelds you can still see at places like Johnny B's, with a thin patty and they are veggie heavy. They come with a mayo based thousand island spread. I suspect this could be an issue for some in Texas but I thought it tasted pretty good. If you want a lot of meat on a particular day, maybe don't come here, but there's a time and mood for everything and this small burger wasn't bad. I honestly couldn't taste much of the spread, but I really liked that their lettuce was fresh and crisp- I don't expect that from fast food places. Regular fries are $1.70 and if you add cheese it's $2 more! The fries weren't that great and the melted cheese on mine didn't help that much. I was a little irritated to find my receipt showed I paid $2 for cheese, but now I know. I would suggest asking for the fries well done, I think that would have helped them a lot. Next time I stop by, I'm definitely going to request them that way. My husband got an extra large drink for $2.05 which isn't bad, it was very large. I got a shake in a small cup that was $2.25. They offer chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. When I asked the employee what her favorite was, she said strawberry vanilla, so that's what I ordered. It was pretty tasty and between that and the small burger, I was definitely full. We had a bunch of fries left over and I had a couple bites of burger left over too. So I guess you can't be too deterred by the size of the burgers. The wait for the food was surprisingly long. There was a ton of staff there and they were doing a good job constantly coming out, cleaning tables, offering to remove customers trash, etc. but the food took close to 10 minutes. I suspect the drive thru is the priority, especially with their name. We didn't mind since the weather was terrible outside, but we were surprised. One of the staff checked our order number when she walked by our table and said she would bring our food when it was ready. Right afterwards, they called the order number in front of us, so it wasn't an outrageous wait and it seems like the staff is trained to take care of the customer. I didn't exactly get what all the fuss was about on this visit, but I think it has to do with the secret menu items, which I'm sure make it a fun experience. I appreciated the fresh veggies and the shake, but otherwise I am a little confused by the cult following. Does not being super impressed effect my rating? Nope! It's a fast food chain and gets rated in comparison to others. Whether or not I get the hype, doesn't change the fact that this place was way more pleasant to visit than any McDonalds or the local Burger King. They do a much better job of providing fresh veggies and a clean enviornment with friendly staff. In those ways, they were well above the competition. On this visit, I only found the food a little higher than average, but I may be more impressed with taste on a future visit. Still, 4 stars and the experience were not bad at all! read more

In and out coming to Denton just makes perfect sense and it definitely helps as Denton continues to grow! This place is great and cheap for fresher ingredients then most fast food restaurants! I know people think this place is too hyped up and sometimes it is, but for the price I can't complain one bit. Definitely better value then shake shack. I love the burger animal style and the fries are decent, but the cool thing is you can get them lightly crispy or extra crispy if you let them know. I haven't tried the shake yet, but I have heard good things about it too! I've never had a bad experience at in and out. The food is always super fast, and one time I went at a busy lunch time and it was still fast! The other day my friends and I went and hung out there until close. Stopped here at the beginning of our girls trip on our way to Dallas. It was our friends first time here and Miguel made sure she had an amazing visit. When we were ordering Trevor was super helpful at the counter!
