Burger lands wrapped in paper, still steaming. Soft bun, cold crisp lettuce, cheese melted into the patty, grilled onions and spread dripping. Messy. Worth it. Fries are cut in-house -- you can see the potatoes stacked by the slicer. Thin, hot, not greasy. Lightly salted and gone fast. Just fresh ingredients done right. Burger and fries for under $10 and you walk out full. This is probably my 2000th burger, and it still hits the same. An icon. The best! An LA staple. Clean, fast, consistent. 1-Star !! Yep, I'm done acquiescing to this location. How is it possible you get my order wrong virtually EVERY SINGLE TIME? It is not my 'burden' to ensure you're doing your jobs! I'm not getting paid to manage you, that is your MANAGER's job. I'm paying you for a service I am not getting, most of the time. This location gets my order wrong so often, I'm convinced it's by design to make the numbers look good. The manager gets away with it because ALL YOU SYCOPHANTS refuse to under-rate them when YOUR order doesn't go as planned. Most of America gets away with subpar service because a significant proportion of the Public can't be bothered to report or refuse to report so they can feel part of the In-N-Out Burger Cult. I order the same meal every time, with two fries and I only get one. They're often stale and resemble classic potato chips. But if I actually 'get my food' then at least I haven't been robbed of my money! The owner is an entitled billionaire who left the state because she didn't want to pay (literally) pocket change to the government to make our lives better. In general, I love a good In-N-Out Burger. This particular location is the one that I feel a lot of people think of when they see some Oscar winners grabbing some In-N-Out after the awards ceremony. It makes sense since it's a couple of blocks away from the Dolby Theater. So after having seen a show at the Dolby Theater, I wanted to come here specifically. But technically, some of those famous pics where you see people celebrating are also at the Westwood location... yes but either way who doesn't love a good In-N-Out meal. I almost never use the drive-through at any location so always come in. The line moves pretty quickly as usual and the folks are always friendly. I ordered a cheeseburger and a chocolate shake. I just love the consistency whenever you go to any In-N-Out location. This location provides sort of a small tourist attraction element to it. Every time I'm on the west coast, in-n-out is a must. It must have been close to midnight and the place was packed. Cars in the drive thru were lined around the block. The burgers are great, the fries are tasty and the shakes give me the shakes! Staff is always friendly. I don't eat fast food very often and am not claiming their burger is the best in the world but it's certainly better than the typical fast food places. This location appears to be one of the smaller locations I've been to. There are a few tables inside, as well as some outdoor seating. In-N-Out is always a classic, but the Hollywood location is hands down my favorite. I have been to plenty of In-N-Out spots and for some reason this one just tastes better every single time, even though technically it is the same menu. The burgers here are always so fresh, hot, and satisfying. One thing people should know is that there are off-menu customizations, and that is the best way to order if you already know what you like. I never do the regular double because it is just not enough for me. I usually order two 3x3 burgers. One I get with no onion, and the second I do even simpler with no onion, no lettuce, and no tomato, so it is basically just the bun, cheese, and three patties. I always ask for extra spread too because that is a must. Usually I get two spreads per burger and one extra for the fries, so my full meal comes with five spreads and I use every single one. What also makes this location stand out is how well they handle the crowds. It is always busy, but they have so many employees working that the line keeps moving fast and the whole place stays organized. Even when it looks packed, service is efficient and seating usually works out fine if you just pay attention and grab a table as people leave. For such a high-volume location, they do a really good job keeping things moving. Love In-N-Out, always will, and this Hollywood location is the one I keep coming back to. Easy 5 stars. read more

I've never been to In-N-Out. This was an immediate spot I wanted to try in LA. The food was DELICIOUS! The only disadvantage was it gets crowded for a couple of minutes and then it's empty. It makes it hard to find a seat. It's in a busy area though. I wish the burgers were bigger. There was a lot of people so it was crowded, but what can I say, the food is good, it makes sense. These sound like they could be negatives, but it is a vibe, just enjoy some great food and take it all in. After all we have some of the best weather here in So Cal. No matter what you get, you can't go wrong with the taste, quality and consistency of the burgers, fries and drinks. I brought an out-of-town friend here because she heard it's a famous post-Oscars spot for celebrities. We arrived around 1:45PM to a line out the door and zero open tables. It felt super hectic at first, but don't panic if you see a big crowd. Since it's quick service, tables open up fast as people finish eating, and we snagged one right as our food was ready. The vibes were great--an employee even mentioned Michael B. Jordan was there recently, and a TMZ tour bus drove past while we were eating! It was super busy and chaotic inside but the service has the process down pat, so food came out quick. I don't eat meat but you can order the burger as a grilled cheese and it is surprisingly yummy and filling- all the fixings. Got the animal style fries which weren't my favorite- didn't care for the hardened cheese. You do wait a while but it is fast for the volume of guest that they have.
