I try not to eat fast food often, but every now and then, I just have to get myself a double-double from In-N-Out Burger. It definitely helps to know that they use fresh instead of frozen ingredients. I like that the burgers are very customizable. Personally, I am a fan of a protein style double-double burger with grilled onions and raw onions. Sometimes I'll order their fresh, hand-cut french fries if I'm feeling extra hungry. However, the fries do not taste very good in my opinion. They can be dry and cardboard-like, but adding some spread or ketchup helps make them better. Prices have remained very affordable here. It would be great if they had some indoor seating though. Unfortunately, there is only minimal outdoor seating available. If you don't want to use the drive-thru (which always has long lines during peak hours), there is a counter to order from outside. read more

I stopped by this Rosemead location with a friend around 8:30 PM on a weekend for some burgers, fries, and a milkshake. The food was delicious and exactly the fresh quality you expect from In-N-Out! However, be warned: this is a tiny, takeout/drive-thru only spot, and the logistics are tough. Do NOT park in the lot, there are barely any spaces, and I got completely trapped trying to leave because the endless drive-thru line blocks the exit. Walk here if you can! It might be because I parked and ordered at the window, but the wait time for the food was around 25 minutes. I recommend just sticking to the drive-thru. This location is consistently busy. I don't think there's a time that I've been or drive-by that this place does not have a line in the drive-through or at the counter. Usually there's a line on Rosemary Boulevard before you can even get in. This location is mainly drive-through. There's very little seating outside. We just got their #1:1 Double-Double Burger, French Fries with extra sauce, & a Medium Drink ($11.20). Today is Veterans Day, and in my 16 years of active duty and veteran life, I've rarely gone out to collect free meals--maybe once or twice total. I know some people visit multiple restaurants for Veterans Day offers, but it was never something I was really interested in. Today, I was simply craving a burger, so I stopped by my local In-N-Out. When I got up to the window, there was still a bit of a wait to get my food ready. I've always been a regular at this In-N-Out location and never had any issues until my visit on November 12th. This time, the service was completely off, and I left feeling frustrated and even sick. I went through the drive-thru as usual, but right from the start, things felt wrong. The girl taking my order barely gave me a moment to speak before cutting me off and rushing me. It wasn't even busy, so there was no reason for the pressure. Every time I tried to say my order, she interrupted me, which was very overwhelming. She then repeated my order really fast so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. When I reached the window, I asked if she could add something to my order because she had rushed me earlier--she didn't seem to care and took the additional order reluctantly. We paid, and when we got home, I realized that one of my orders was completely wrong. Instead of the full cheeseburger I had asked for, I got a plain cheeseburger with just meat and onions. I was hungry, so I ate it anyway, but then the worst part happened: I ended up getting sick from the food. Most In-N-Outs are consistent but I have to say this isn't the best location. Burgers were consistent but my animal fries missed the mark a bit today. It was already a little cold even from the start when getting it from the cashier, and by the time I got home 10mins later, the fries were already a giant mashup of cold fries stuck together. Not the piping hot gooey mess that I was hoping for. I think because they were rushing to get orders out, they didn't give justice to how they made the fries and gave me half cold ones. While most locations are busy, this one feels a little tougher to deal with due to the small lot that also is makes getting in and out a bit annoying. Watch out for your mirrors too. It's not difficult to drive in, but you do need to be careful with the tight pull-up. I usually avoid parking in this lot because the drive through line sometimes get in the way of me exiting the parking lot. Cars may block you in. Food: If you visit California and ask residents which fast-food restaurant is best, most of them will say In-N-Out. It's so hyped up that many out-of-state visitors make a point of eating at this restaurant during their stay. Some people will say the restaurant is overhyped, and others will say they love it. Many chefs, in fact, praise In-N-Out for its fresh ingredients and amazing taste. I ordered a French fries. This is the opposite of well done. These are fries that aren't cooked all the way. They have a bit of a crunch to them as compared to regular fries. I like my fries to have a little crunch to them. Staff: The staff here are very fast, friendly, and efficient. 5 stars Everyone knows that In-N-Out makes a tasty, affordable burger, but of all the In-N-Outs that I have been to, this location has a very talented enployee that makes every other burger beautiful. What do I mean by this? I mean that there are definitely 2 different employees working in there that stacks the burgers differently and one of them is the creme-de-la-creme of vegetable stacking skills. Please see my grilled cheese pic for evidence. I didn't take the picture of the animal style fries, but it was just as gloriously beautiful as my grilled cheese. I loved that my animal style fries wasn't filled with short, crunchy bits that only comes from the last scrape of the pan that holds the fries. One thing I noted was the softness of their fries...for people who prefer crunchy fries, this might be a dealbreaker. But I loved it! I think, if you have been to enough In-N-Outs, you will know a pretty presentation when you see it. I don't know who made my grilled cheese and animal style fries, but thank you! Parking: They have a small parking lot that can be difficult to get into and out of. Due to the long lines at the drive thru, I typically opt to park on the street and walk over. Environment: Long lines at the drive thru, but no lines at the walk up counter. Just be cautious of the cars near there as the counter is right next to the exits of the drive thru. What was ordered: - Grilled Cheese (it's pretty much a cheeseburger without the meat patty. Be sure to add the whole grilled onion and maybe some chopped chilies if you're feeling adventurous) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Who says a grilled cheese has to be boring? With all the normal toppings that comes with a cheeseburger, the grilled cheese here can be pretty tasty. Staff members were friendly. But as with all In-N-Out restaurants, there's going to be a bit of a wait. This place is located right next to my old high school and as a grown adult, I'm shocked that I did not go as often as a kid as I do now. In n out is always a treat for me and my go to when I want something quick or if I'm craving a burger. This specific location is mainly just drive through but you can also order at the window and sit in the back where there are tables and chairs. The drive through is pretty narrow so always be mindful if you are driving a large truck. Service is quick but lines may run very long.. even outside of their parking lot/drive thru line (no surprise there). I of course usually just order the hamburger with grilled onions and some fries.
