I mean... can any fast food restaurant really be 5-stars? Yes, only if you compare them with like restaurants. With that said, there are always room for improvement but tonight, I'm giving a 5 star rating specifically because the Food was perfectly prepared, and one employee in particular impressed me. When we arrived around 10pm Friday night, half the restaurant was full. The available tables were slightly dirty, so looks like staff hadn't gotten to cleaning the tables yet. Seats were a bit greasy but tolerable. This is the area of improvement I would love to see. If employees are not readily available to clean the tables, just leave the wipes around so we can wipe down the tables ourselves. I'd be totally fine cleaning my table myself. While we were eating, I got the opportunity to observe several employees in action. One employee stood out. While most employees just speedily wipe down the tables and sweep the debris onto the floors. Edgar not only cleaned the tops of the tables, but also the back rests and seats, and even the tops of the trashcans!!! That level of attention to detail I greatly appreciated. I thought he was the shift manager given how much he was doing!! Not only that, he was the only employee I heard acknowledging and greeting guests. Edgar deserves all the praise! Prior to bowling at Alhambra Valley Bowl, I wanted to get something to eat. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is right next door to the bowling alley. It fit the hunger bill perfectly. I drove through drive-thru since I was on a time constraint. Yes, I had to get to my bowling ASAP. Luckily, they weren't super busy at the time. Lady staff who took my order, took my payment, and handed out my order were all super friendly and nice. Service was fast. No long wait whatsoever. I ordered The Box Combo (3 chicken fingers) with lemonade no ice. Chicken fingers were of good size and very tender & delicious as they usually are. Love their Cane's sauce! Toasted bread was soft and tasty. Crinkle fries were good, but they could have been a bit crispier. My Mom ate the coleslaw as I'm not a big fan of their coleslaw because it's too watery IMHO. I'm really glad this cane's opened up around my neighborhood because of how late it stays open. This is my second time coming here and the service has always been quick and friendly. It's a pretty nice and modern interior so I would definitely use this place as a meeting spot to hang out with friends late into the night. After COVID there hasn't been many places open like this so it's like a late light for the night owls. The canes sauce is addicting, perfect for the chicken fingers. Initially, I didn't get the hype around Raising Cane's, but after trying it a few times, I really enjoy it. The chicken tenders are so tender they melt in your mouth, with a shoestring texture and fried to perfection. The coleslaw was crisp and delicious. That sauce, though! It has a great Worcestershire flavor that I love, along with a nice Cajun seasoning. I could easily drink cases of it. I also appreciate how the Kid's Meals come with milk and fun, educational games. My son is obsessed with the spinning top we received. Cane's has the best lemonade! Their sweet tea is good, too. I love the ambiance of Cane's! The decor is thoughtfully curated to represent the area. I like the framed yearbooks from the 40s, pictures of local high school grads, and the Elvis picture! The disco balls are a nice touch. I particularly like this location because it has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The Monterey Park location was more convenient due to our Atlantic travel, but the limited seating and parking were a turn-off. We haven't been there as much, but we will definitely visit this location more often. read more

My first time trying Raising Canes and it was pretty good! I got the box combo and everything was great! The chicken tenders themselves were pretty solid. I liked the crunchy batter and the chicken for the most part was succulent and juicy with some dry parts. I wish there was more flavoring in it though. It does pair well with the canes sauce which is rich, creamy and flavorful. Wish they gave you more than one little sauce though. The fries were crispy and the toast was buttery and crispy. The coleslaw was also good and provided a nice and fresh element to all the fried food. The sweet tea also paired well with the meal, but I'd say its just okay compared to authentic Southern sweet tea. The staff at this location were nice and I loved the décor, but it was pretty messy and dirty inside. The tables weren't wiped down and there was trash on the floor and it was sticky. I have been waiting forever to try this chain as everyone hypes this place up. I drove by one the other day and immediately pulled in to make this finally happen. Someone, please tell me what the hype is over this place because it wasn't giving these are the best chicken fingers ever - not even close. I got the three piece chicken fingers that came with fries and what they call Texas toast plus a drink. The batter on the chicken fingers was completely flavorless. The alleged Texas toast was nothing more than fluffy buttered bread with no crunch. Why it's called toast is beyond me. The crinkle fries were overall decent but a tad over salted. Now, the house sauce that everyone raves about - it was bland despite visually having a decent amount of pepper and overhyped. You're better off making fry sauce (look up recipe) than using the sauce provided. Needless to say, I can finally say I have tried this place but there's no reason to return. Notable mention for the drive thru guy was very friendly and attentive. Also note that if you're coming off Valley, you'll have to enter off the side street as it says "do not enter" at what one would think are entrances. read more

Today I went to Alhambra location for the first time and got three kids combos and was soooo disappointed! The chicken was not fully breaded and the breading was soggy and falling off the meat. It had no taste/salt???? The fries were trying to be good but were not the same size as the MPK location which have pretty decently sized fries that were fresh. The Alhambra fries were as skinny as McDonald's size fries and also no flavor! What happened?? The location looks nice on the inside but it was really hot in there...no AC? Solid experience: It's great that they are open late and serve your food fast! There isn't much on the menu other than thier chicken tenders- which makes deciding easier, but has little to no variety. I've come here twice for late night, after 11pm for those late night food cravings- and this place is crowded during that time! Everything on the menu is soild, an I usually just get 2 chicken fingers a la carte with sauce for the cost of a 5 dollar bill- which is more than enough for a late night snack for me. The bathrooms are relatively clean, the service is friendly and fast, and the chicken fingers are good and piping hot! Wish they had a few other meal items to offer, or even different fry varieties! It's been a few years since this location has opened, but I am still glad that I don't have to drive at least 15 minutes to get my fill of chicken strips. To be honest, I was curious why people were going crazy for Canes, which I realized it was mainly for its deals and reasonable prices. Canes definitely hits different right after a KPop content or a rave/club event happening near by. I went once after a Blackpink concert and this place was popping at like 11 PM. Drive Thus backed up, parking lots filled up and lines crowding up inside. Recently, I've been attempting to do online order. The drive thru/up option hasn't been working for the past 2 weeks. I personally love their convenience of not getting out my car, but it really isn't that big of deal just going in to pick up. The seating amount I would say it okay compared to the other locations I've been at. The one thing I want to point out is that this location is waaay saltier than the other ones I've been to. I got the Box Combo, which was delicious. The most frustrating part was when I was paying for my order. I had used my gift card, and the cashier had to try multiple times for it to "work." It didn't look like it went through, but she ensured me that it did. I was supposed to just pay the difference on my credit card. Turn out that the gift card never went through although it still has funds in it, and the full payment went through my credit card. I had thought that the funds in the gift card was used up, so I let the cashier to throw it out. So I ordered the kids meal which came with 2 tenders and fries and you get a drink (for kids there are actually Honest brand juice boxes which are actually less sugary). Ordering was easy since they had two counters going and the staff were friendly. It took about 10 mins to get the order even though there were a bunch of people waiting ahead of me. FYI - The Cane sauce is quite peppery flavor which is not my favorite. But the chicken is tender and fries were decent. Restrooms were gender neutral single stalls and were clean. There are plenty of tables small and large for sitting inside but I preferred to take it home since it can be a little loud indoors. read more

This location seems to be lazy, especially at night. If I ask for extra crispy tenders, I want it extra crispy. If I want the fries extra crispy, no salt, I expect extra crispy no salt. If I want my toast buttered on both sides, I expect it to have butter on both sides. If I order a Caniac, I expect 6 tenders, not 5. If I ask for ketchup & hot sauce, it should be in the bag already, & I shouldn't have to ask again. But this doesn't happen once. Every. Single. Time. I order from this location, they never want to put it in the fryer an extra 30 seconds for it to be extra crispy, or for 1 second, put butter on the other side of my toast, or give me a batch of fries with no salt. Once upon a time and almost a decade ago, I went to Raising Cane's when they were few and far in between. I remember the juiciness of the chicken fingers and the addicting sauce that accompanied it. Flash forward to today's visit to one of my many locations nearby and it was just a lackluster experience. This location still seems relatively sparkly and new. However, when I grabbed a high chair for my baby, there were crumbs inside and it looked like it has not been cleaned in a while. The workers were awesome and helpful. The diners here are the most diverse group -- families with kids, high school teens, blue collar workers, white collar workers, the unemployed. Never have I seen such a wide array of people uniting for the love of chicken. I thought the chicken fingers were okay. Juicy enough, the batter was mediocre, the flavor was all right, but the saltiness builds up after a while. When I venture out for chicken, my heart just finds its way back to Howlin Ray's, which is just my jam for anything chicken pretty much.
