They messed up my order twice, TWICE I had to come in and have them remake it at 11pm when It's already a 10 min drive and I have work at 7am, if that wasn't bad enough this location is filthy, and the food the 2nd time when we asked them to make it fresh was cold, not only cold but I told them no tomato twice expressing I have allergies to tomatoes not to an extreme level of "wear gloves to change orders" but enough to respect the fact I said no tomatoes, I'm pretty disgusted with the service, I'm back the THIRD time to have them remake it, God willing they can get it done and actually pay attention to my order this time.(update if I didn't check my bag they would of forgot my sauce AGAIN) ridiculous, are they missing brains cells or what? I wasn't always a big fan of in and out. I would say I didn't really appreciate them until we had kids and they got a little older. In and Out is the one place we can go and feed the family for about $10/person. Today my 8 year old and I stopped in for lunch and got our usual. I used to order animal style because that is one of the most popular ways to order a burger. But when I found out you could get whole grilled onions on your burger it changed everything. I realized the thing I didn't like was the caramelized onions. They just don't taste good to me. But let's start from the beginning. As we approach the entrance we were greeted by an employee who held open the front door for us and welcomed us in. After a short wait in line (maybe 1 minute) we were helped at the next available register. As we approach the employee held out a kids activity packet for my son. After placing our order we took a seat and worked on his activity packet while we waited for our order number to be called. My son got a plain hamburger with pickles, fries and a drink My order is a bit more detailed. I get a double, double protein style with whole grilled onions x2 and an extra patty. I also get whole grilled onions on my fries with spread on the side. If you're never had the whole grilled onions on your burger or fries at In and Out I highly recommend you try it. I think the flavor is better than the caramelized diced onions. In and out customer service is amazing. The restaurants are always as clean as can be and they don't ask for a tip. So many fat food and fast casual restaurants are asking for tips. It's just gotten out of control. In and Out has become our families go to spot because of their fast and friendly service. Due to its popularity, the family has expanded its operations by opening establishments in surrounding states, including Arizona and Texas. This particular one is directly outside of a retirement community on Bell Road in Surprise, Arizona. Like every single one of these restaurants, it is so popular that the company has had to invest in some innovative drive thru car lanes to accommodate the numerous vehicles that visit daily. Think snake lanes for lining up for a ride at Disneyland...but for cars. Despite the unusual weaving of my car back and forth in a zigzag line to place my order, the process went relatively smoothly. There were bright orange cones that helped guide your car in the right direction. The employees at this location were amazing. It was almost like a flashback to a 1950s soda stand. They were young, upbeat, and welcoming. They donned their uniforms neatly and even wore the matching hat with pride. They flashed a smile, executed the order quickly, and were very polite. They spoke clearly and loudly. The speaker was turned up so that older, hard-of-hearing customers could easily understand what was being said. The order was repeated to ensure that everything was correct. Oh, and the food, well it's a solid burger combo deal. The menu is limited and uncomplicated. The restaurant was very busy in the drive-through and the inside, but the employees were taking orders quickly, and the food came out in 10 minutes or so. We ordered the cheeseburgers and all of our fries were animal style. Our food was good, but it was pricey for three meals adding the animal style fries to them came up to $40.. I need to know when the employee CHASITY is not working. This is probably the 4th or 5th time now we have gotten her to take our order and she is just RUDE!!!! I know her voice the minute we order at the drive thru and right there I already know it's gonna get messed up. First of all, my son wanted to order his meal, he's 5. It's late, there's literally no cars and repeatedly she's like "hold on" ummm ok? He started ordering and she interrupts again saying hold on. So then I get on and I said we've been holding, you start to take the order and then proceeds to cut us off. He didn't even wanna order anymore and he's been so excited to order his food lately. We get to the pickup order and I'm just waving my money out and she hasn't grabbed it. Hands me everything but isn't taking the money so I'm like ok here we go again with this rude bitch. She's walking away, doing everything else, again, there's no one there!!! It was one car infront of me and one behind me. She's ignoring us, not taking the money, not doing anything. I've been coming to this location for a long time, but my most recent visit with my family was honestly one of the worst service experiences I've ever had here. The employee taking our order, Chasity, repeatedly walked away while we were in the middle of telling her our order. When we tried to continue, she said she needed to "close a gap in the line" and kept walking--even though there was literally no one behind us. It came across as extremely dismissive and disrespectful. We were just trying to order our food, and instead we were left standing there wondering why the person helping us kept leaving in the middle of taking our order. It made the whole experience uncomfortable for my family and completely ruined the visit. What makes this even more disappointing is that I've come here many times before and never experienced service like this. I'm not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, but this interaction was bad enough that it needs to be addressed. Customers deserve basic respect when they're ordering. We're in town visiting family and In-N-Out is 3 mins from our hotel. We decided to stop in last night because everything else near us closed at 9pm and it was close to 9:30pm when we were hungry and looking for a place to eat. Surprisingly, there wasn't a long line or long wait like how the OR location is and how some of the CA locations are. We got 2 double doubles and fries, animal style for all items. Staff was so nice and so friendly. Greeted us with smiles and happy faces and even sent us off and told us to have a good night. It's so good to receive nice treatment from customer service workers. The food was good and fresh, and our burgers were prepared nicely and not sloppy. Parking lot was full of cars but drive-thru only had a few cars. The drive-thru area is not so great. It's really frustrating when you ask them three times to please make sure the meat is extra well done, and there's bits and pieces of raw meat. I'm not sure why their cooks are so bad. The hamburger patty is really small and then can't even cook a burger well done. Sometimes I'm late to the party. I had a free offer from the Arizona Fall League. Went to the Surprise stadium and a promotion for 2 players on the Surprise team hit 2 doubles in one inning. Everyone was given a free hamburger at In-N-Out Burger. It would be my frist time trying a Double Double burger. I had it with just lettuce and tomato. I haven't had American cheese on a burger ever. Come to think of it , I haven't had American cheese since I was a little kid. Man have my grown up taste buds change. Thoght the burgers were good. The cheese , eh. This was my first time ever eating In-N Out and I really loved it! I got the double burger protein style, an order of fries, and a diet coke. I noticed that there was a very long line for the drive-through, but it went by quickly. The people taking our order, making our order, and delivering our food were really efficient and fast when giving us our correct orders. I was really impressed. I loved my burger, and I'm a huge fan of the special sauce which just happens to be dairy and gluten-free. The fries are also gluten-free, although they were cold. The burger was still very juicy and delicious. I would really like to try animal style the next time I order from the west coast. I look forward to my next visit. read more

So I'm definitely biased when it comes to In-N-Out, because although they are plentiful here in the West, we do not have it in Michigan. I had no idea Phoenix had them - I just had them last month in Vegas too - and when I arrived at 11:30pm on Friday night, my boyfriend and I made this my first stop. I always get an animal-style burger, I was hungry so I got the double-double minus cheese. I like the fries just plain and not animal-style though. We also ordered a Neopolitan shake off the "secret menu," which ended up being very good. This location was clean, as well, and so was the bathroom, even though it was later at night. I think all In-N-Out locations now close at 1:30am, although don't quote me on that. In-N-Out's animal-style burger is my favorite fast food burger, so I was glad to be able to have one here in Phoenix. read more

In-N-Out Burgers are great but their fries are HORRIBLE! The fries are so bad that I will not go to In-N-Out because of them. The fries are limp and NOY crispy. Fresh Cut Fries are a great draw but if you do not take the time to twice fry them, they are just potatoes boiled in low temperature oil. I have asked for crispy, but they still come out limp and flavorless. Unless they fix their fry problem I will never go to In-N-Out again. read more

After moving from WA (where we have the amazing Dicks burgers) I discovered the infamous In-N-Out. Initially I thought it was meh. Didn't get all the hype. Not a lot of flavor in the shakes or fries but the hamburger was tasty. After eating here a few times (and trying their double), I've grown to really enjoy their food. Simple, cheap and fresh! This is my favorite burger place. I only recommend ordering your burger Animal Style. If you have not tried it/-you must. It is on their not so secret, secret menu. Where the patty will be cooked in mustard and served with pickles, extra In-N-Out Spread and grilled onions, in addition to the standard toppings. I must say this makes the burger so much better compared to Culver's which fries their burger in butter, hence "butter-burger" to a crispy patty. I cannot eat at Culver's what I feel like burnt overcooked burgers. As for Shake Shack which has better shakes than has decent burgers within NYC but not the same elsewhere. As for French fries, Culver's and Shake Shack are better. So skip the fries. Yes they are freshly cut, but they need to cook them twice like they do at fine restaurant. read more

The food is always really good when I come here, it tastes very fresh. The fries are good as well, and you can choose what level of cooked you want them to be. Our food was 16 dollars for two meals, way worth the price. The service was friendly and fast, the restaurant was very full but clean. The only thing I'd say wasn't the best was the shakes, they aren't very chocolatey but that's what I'd expect from a fast food place.
