I ordered the Farm Club with a cup of the Lemon Chicken & Farro Soup. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful, and the soup was light but still satisfying--such a good pairing. The Kid had the Chimichurri Steak & Bacon on Grilled Sourdough, and she loved it. The sandwich looked packed with flavor, and the grilled sourdough was a nice touch. They also have a great selection of house-made drinks like passion fruit iced tea, lemonades, and green drinks, so there's plenty to try beyond the sandwiches. Service was great, the food came out fresh, and the menu has so many options that I'm already planning what to try next. Finally got to check this place out. Very cute place with healthy options. Mostly served sandwiches, salad and soup. I tried one of their sandwiches which were yum. This is one of my favorite restaurants! I've been here many times as well as their other locations in Sacramento and have never been disappointed. Everything I've had, from salads to soups to sandwiches, have all been so tasty, but my all-time favorite is the Seasonal Goat Salad which contains oranges (among many other goodies) in seasons other than summer. If you're lucky enough to come in the summer, oranges are replaced with large, juicy chunks of peaches, making my mouth water as I type! Another item I highly recommend is their chicken and farro soup. Perfectly seasoned and so delicious! This review would not be complete without a shout-out to Willis, the cashier who took my order. It's rare to find someone in a fast food type of restaurant to be as cheerful, happy, friendly, and helpful as he was. If only all servers were like him! We came here yesterday for lunch, it was absolutely beautiful outside which made it a perfect day to sit on the patio. The line was a bit crazy inside it took about 15 minutes to get through it, and then another 20 minutes for food to arrive. So if you're looking for quick... this was not it. However, the staff was friendly and upbeat and the food was delicious! I had the seasonal GOAT with sweet citrus... it is probably my favorite salad. I would have this daily if I could, it was amazing! The flavors were bold the oranges were fresh and super tasty. The goat cheese was seasoned and fantastic! Overall a total win! This is the second time this week that we have been to Mendocino Farms. They were well staffed today for dinner around 7pm. Our order was taken by Willis who was very nice and happy. He moved all around the restaurant from taking orders, delivering food and cleaning tables. Other staff during free time went around from table to table asking if things were good, clearing trays and asking if people need boxes. The manager comes in and out checking on things and greeting familiar customers. This restaurant is run very well. As usual, their food is delicious and consistent. The food is always consistently fresh, fantastic, and healthy--you really can't go wrong with their menu. Great road trip food! However, I'm knocking off a star for my most recent experience. We ordered takeout, and thankfully we checked the bag before hopping on the freeway because they had forgotten our soup. We had to drive back to pick it up, which was a bit of a hassle on a rainy day. Despite the hiccup, the quality of the food keeps me coming back. The chunks of tofu felt a bit clunky though and definitely wanted more of the pickled veggies. The pesto shells had good balance between the herbs and the pasta making for good bites between things. Knowing how great their sandwiches are i asked Doordash for a refund and reordered my sandwich. 45 minutes later I received my sandwich and the whole rest of my 1st order. She answered the phone call hesitant and worried she'd be chewed out from an unhappy customer. Mendocino Farms frequently catered business meetings at my husband's former law office back in Los Angeles (and he really liked their sandwiches) so we were happy to see this location in Vacaville on a recent roadtrip back home. It is set-up like a fast food joint where you line up to order at a register but the food is much better and healthier. I had the veggie-filled Vegan Banh Mi and really liked it. My husband had The Farm Club - turkey, avocado, bacon - and thought it was good but pricey compared to other sandwich places we have been to. The gal running the register and delivering the food was friendly and hard-working. Also, the place was clean and the workers seemed to adhere to good hygienic practices.
