The most important thing to know for non-locals is to exit on the side of Safeway (Rotary Way) for quick access to the freeway. Anyways, the efficiency of the team indoors and outdoors is solid, even if they've been operating for only a month. Food, service, bathroom, waits, and hours of operation feel on-par with other in-n-outs. There's been a couple of times I've come here for what I thought would be rush times, but I got the exact opposite. I always get the one of the special items: 3x2 (3 meat, 2cheese) with an extra toasted bun, lightly well fries for the crunch, and two sides of spread to dip my fries. Although In-n-out and the city of Vallejo is breathing new life into the plaza, you still have to remember its Vallejo. It's generally safe, but use your street smarts...if you have any. read more

With any new business opening you are always worried about long waits, and expect hiccups with service due to it the establishment being brand new, but with this In n Out opening that is not a problem at all. Management has been prepared and ready, to make sure both drive-thru and walk in customers are served in a timely manner, whether it's 6 employees outside directing traffic and taking orders, or for any line inside I feel like I'm eating at a in n out that's been open for a while. What impressed me the most, maybe only because they just opened was the fact I actually saw employees walking around asking if there was anything they can get them, and when they came across any of the elderly they would ask what their number is so that they can go grab their order for them instead and bring it to them. That was really nice to see. So don't worry about and think "Oh, I'll wait until the hype dies down" they are equipped to handle the demand of Vallejo. They have experienced employees from other locations helping to train and make things run smoother so nothing misses a beat. read more

Oh boy, was my family excited about an In-and -Out opening up in Vallejo. We usually go to the Novato location on our ways home from work, before heading towards hwy 37. That location's drive-thru takes forever. Not Vallejo, they keep the line constantly moving. The set up of the drive-thru is a complicated one. They do have signs set up to kind of guide you to the drive-thru....still a little complicated though. The great thing is they have people outside directing the traffic which helps. The staff are always super friendly and smiley. The burgers of course ar delicious with the thousand island like sauce. Love them. The fries are very fresh and taste great hot but once they start cooling off the are a done deal. The Vallejo location is great and the drive-thru runs very smoothly. It is also conveniently located where Safeway and Oil Changers are....just an FYI, it is best to come in by Oil Changers because the line starts around their parking area. I don't normally write reviews for fast food restaurants, for two good reason: first, I don't patronize them often; and second, well . . . they're fast food! What can I say, I'm biased from the gitgo. However, occasions like my visit to this In-N-Out location make me realize that food, service and ambience, even in a fast food joint, can be worthy of a review (good, or not so good) to share the experience with others. And so, this review is born! We came here after a full day at the local amusement park in Vallejo - you know the one! What I expected to be a typical fast food place was not at all what I encountered, and from the outside I could see this location was well kept and clean. Not even a wrapper in the parking lot. Inside was just as clean, and bright and colorful in the whites and reds the chain is known for using. And the restroom was like an operating room! Wow.The counter is easily accessible, and was well staffed this afternoon. There are inside and outside dining areas, and the inside was about 2/3rds full, not too bad for about 6pm. The tables had comfortable seats, and there was plenty of aisle room for people with trays to come and go without mayhem. The counter staff was genuinely friendly, and even apologized for an error we made! Ordering was easy using the menu boards, but of course, there's that "secret menu" I've heard about. Luckily I was with veteran In-N-Outers who guided me, and the order was quickly on its way while we enjoyed a large self-serve fountain drink counter. Two containers of sliced lemon were my immediate joy, as I love iced tea and don't often find lemon in fast food places or convenience stores. When the order was called, I was surprised to see how beautifully presented the trays were. Almost artistic, including salt packets ideally placed on napkins above the plain fries. Very nice. We dug in, and soon the food was gone, having been messily enjoyed (always ask for a packet of secret sauce you can spread on burgers and fries, adds to the burger's fun level!). The burgers were well cooked, fresh and with plentiful toppings. Even tried a "grilled cheese," basically a cheeseburger without the burger. Not too bad in a pinch, but it would be nice if corporate could find a GOOD veggie burger to offer. Also tried the animal fries, upon a recommendation, which are fries with melty cheese sauce and grilled chopped onions on top. Very tasty, but eventually you'll need that fork they gave you - these are NOT finger fries, and much better than the plain fries. Or you could try just cheesy fries, as well. Plentiful free refills of drinks kept us busy in between bites. Overall, I can't think of anything that could really be better for a fast food experience. Service, food and ambience (environment) all exceeded my expectations, and so this In-N-Out location gets the 5-stars it deserves and a promise of a return visit. read more

Went there tonight. Everyone has negative things to say about their fries, which I sampled about two weeks ago and they were great. Had them again tonight along with a cheeseburger. They were dry and not nearly as good. The thing about actual potatoes-and-nothing-else fries is, they're not going to put stuff on them to make the outside crispy, and no matter how long you cook them, they're not going to have that crispy outside - the thing that people who love all-natural fries love about them is their moisture and tenderness on the inside. had to wait till I got home n was done driving to write a review. before I begin to explain what happened, I would like to make it clear that I have never experienced such rudeness and disrespect, especially @ in-n-out, until tonight. my sisters and I walked in right before closing (unaware that the restaurant closes at 1:30am). right as we entered, an employee shouted "CLOSED, CLOSED, LOCK THE DOORS, WE'RE CLOSED" and continued to walk in the back. being the last one to walk in, I turned to an employee behind me and asked if they aren't taking any more orders in which he said that we were already in the building so it would be okay to place in our order. I no longer wanted to eat there, so I turned back around. Before leaving the building, I asked for the workers to let her know how unprofessional and disrespectful it was of her. Went to this location today and could not have been more happy. I've been to In N Out hundreds of times but this was by far the best experience I have had. As they just opened, there was quite the line but service was incredibly fast. Once we sat down, an employee named Terrance came by and catered to our every need. Not only did he bring our food to us when it was ready, he also refilled our drinks. The food was amazing as always and very hot. When we got up to leave, Terrance made sure that our open seat was given to a young lady with a kid. Such amazing service and what a great guy.
