    Double giant burger so good
    Sandra P.

The burgers were so good! Everything tasted super fresh, the service was great, and nothing was greasy. Definitely one of those spots you'll want to come back to. The ambiance is calm and laid-back, though it can get pretty busy at times.

The go to, must have burger whenever in vallejo! Always quick service and classic burger. Some things never change, and in this case you can always count on the classic taste of a buds burger

Classic!! This has been my favorite local burger spot. Even after moving out of Vallejo I find myslef always coming back. I get the same cheeseburger with grilled onions and fries. No special sauce just simple classic burger but soooo good and juicy. Now its also my kids favorite burger joint. Service is quick and fast, you can also call in your order. Plenty of parking. Couple of seating area, but we usually take home to go!

No talking, just enjoying our food !

Me and my boyfriend love coming to buds burger and getting the burger meals with the fries and drinks. Quick and kind service and we enjoy sitting in the restaurant to enjoy our meal fresh!

I haven't been here in decades so my son and I were working in Vallejo and met up for lunch. We both ordered the hamburger combo. The burger was good enough, not outstanding in any particular way. I did not like how the fries tasted. They tasted like oil, old oil. Service was great. I would come again and give it another try, minus the fries.

Excellent food. It's a real good down home burger spot. Their french fries are really good. I think they stand out. I love it that they have 10 or more baskets staged for frying because they're fries are such a popular item. The burgers are cooked well the condiments are generous and the patties have a really good flavor and texture. The price is good for their combos. They have tons of different options available.

I'll start by saying that I would definitely come back here. Priced fairly well, big portions, and overall good classic old fashion food. Can't complain. The burger was juicy, the bun held everything together and the lettuce, tomato and raw onion made it fresh and crunchy. As much I loved it, there wasn't anything special other than the fact they keep it simple but do it right. I did enjoy how I was able to spend $15 dollars for a triple cheeseburger, fries and drink. My same meal at similar places would easily be over $20. As far as toppings go, it's your standard picnic toppings, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions, bacon. It's hard to say if adding more toppings or a secret sauce would make this place better because what makes it good is how simple it is. Normally, I would eat my burger with whatever secret sauce the restaurant has. But here I felt like I didn't need it. Would it make the burger taste better? Absolutely. But I don't think it needs it. The fries, it's pretty cool seeing the basket of fries hanging on the wall. I think they double fry the fries, which gives it a really good crunch but soft and smooth inside. The fries could've used a little more salt, but that is just me. I would come back for the fries. Personally, I'm a fan. 10/10 would come back again.

Front counter. What can I get you type service. Awesome!

Bumping my original score down to 3, sad but true. I ordered a double bacon cheese burger and large fries. It was all overwhelming dry, don't know why.... I had all the veggies and sauce on the burger. The cheese wasn't melted. The fries weren't hot and lacked salt. Sorry, but not really. I was thinking of giving them three stars but I was completely let down. There are better burgers in town.

The meal was very cheap. The double giant burger with cheese meal comes with a fries and large drink for just $13.60. It's a very big meal for the price. The food was okay for me as it lacked flavor. The fries had no salt and tasted like old oil. The burger was a little plain and could use some more sauce. The service was very fast. I would definitely come back and try the burgers with my own sauces, but I would skip on the fries.

This is the best double cheeseburger in Vallejo! The apple turnovers are delicious too, but you gotta be lucky to get them at the end of the day! I've been getting my cheeseburgers, from Bud's since they had the coupons in the Times Herald, for the family meal deal! So OG and nostalgic!

    Bacon cheeseburger with regular fries.

Food opd fashion burger joint where you order the basics and get it fresh off the grill within minutes. The fries are freshly cut from a whole potato. I would say nothing special about the burger except how fresh it is.

I wanted to love this place way more than we did, we love supporting local mom and pop businesses but gotta be honest at the same time. 2 groups arrived well after us, ordered significantly after us, got their food way before us, I'm talking like 30 minutes before us so much so they were able to eat, pay and leave before us. That time management needs major work and seems like they could use more hands to help in the back, maybe time to look into hiring an extra line cook or 2. Trying to be understanding because we did feel bad since it's one dude cooking on a grill that looks like it's sized to serve 3 people in a whole restaurant that's no bigger than my living room. It's cramped af in there be prepared if you come with more than 3 people to cram like sardines whenever you possibly can. Gotta work on the time management and maybe time for location expansion because honestly the bathroom had more eating space than our table which was crazy. Food came out extremely rushed, could tell by looking at the omelets, uncooked unblended whites and unmelted cheese (huge turn off). The thin crispy pancakes that got the hype were more burnt than golden brown, had that burnt griddle taste. Chicken apple sausage was burnt in the middle, undercooked on the edges, again probably rushed single person trying to pump out dine in orders on top of door dash orders.

The onion rings were good too, although I wish they used the same batter as the fish. The food wasn't served quite as hot as I would have preferred, and they were pretty conservative with the condiments. That may be intentional given the location and the likelihood of non-customers helping themselves if everything was left on the tables. I asked whether the beets in the beet salad were freshly roasted or canned, and I was told they were fresh, so I ordered it. It was good, but something wasn't quite as fresh as I expected. It may have been the walnuts--I think they would have benefited from being toasted--or perhaps another ingredient. I'm very particular when it comes to beet salads. I also ordered the crab and artichoke melt, and this was the star of the meal. It was absolutely divine. Rich, buttery crab and melted cheese layered on thinly sliced, perfectly toasted ciabatta--it was pure comfort food. I was surprisingly full after just two bites, partly because the portions are generous and I'd already made a dent in the beet salad. I skipped drinks this visit, but I'll definitely be back to check out the rotating taps and wine selection. The staff were laid-back, incredibly friendly, and genuinely helpful. The setting is one of the restaurant's biggest draws. The outdoor patio offers a beautiful bird's-eye view of the ferries arriving at Mare Island, making it the perfect place to linger over a meal. Inside, there's a large, inviting bar where it's easy to strike up a conversation with another guest, or you can grab one of the window seats and simply enjoy the waterfront views. I'll definitely be back.

My favorite lunch order is the Chicken Caesar Wrap - perfect ratio of chicken, lettuce, cheese, dressing, and croutons. The wrap is always well constructed and never falls apart mid-consumption. When I moved away from Vallejo, I thought about this wrap often. For dinner, the wings are always a solid choice - korean bbq, bbq, buffalo - all equally good. The wings are a good size, an even mix of drums and flats, the chicken is always moist and the sauce ratio is perfect. Best wings in Solano County. The M.I.B.C. Burger is another favorite, always cooked as requested, the meat is super flavorful and the toppings - cheese, onion, sauce, and arugula fit perfectly between the brioche bun. This is also served with fries - always served the right amount of crisp. For beers, I prefer to drink the War Bond. However, I can vouch for the fact that all of the beer here is good. Also, all of the staff here are super friendly and helpful. Best neighborhood bartenders, best views of the sunset. We are lucky to have this spot in Vallejo.
