Let me start my review by saying that this nail salon is either hit or miss. It is not that welcoming, like most nail salons that I have been to. I only go here, if and when I am directly close to this area & in desperate need. I live close by, but I go to different salons and get better treatment and better pampering. Which I love! Starting with the owner, the minute you walk in, he looks at you like why are you here for?? I have been to this salon quite a few times before, I keep this nail salon for an emergency use. With that being said, I was there on the 12th of September and as I walked in, the owner of the salon is always right by the door/counter/register. No hello, no smile, until you have to tell them what is it that I need? Why am I there for? All I needed was a regular manicure. I have also done pedicure here in the past maybe 8 times . So mani/Pedi. I told him I need a manicure and he is just starring at me like he saw a ghost or something. This happens every time. They do accept walk-ins like most places do. So I got myself situated on one of their chairs and comes my nail technician Hannah and starts to do my nails. She was quick, knew her job well, and that's all I can say about her. It is your typical nail salon with nothing special going on. Employees are friendly with their regular customers. So, I am EXCLUDED from that category. After my nails were done pretty and shiny, I wanted to take few pictures of random things at the salon so I can post it on Yelp after my review. As I got close to take a picture of this mirror that was somewhat interesting on their wall, my back was turned, and another technician literally jumped on me and attacked me by saying WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? Not only did she scare me, but I felt attacked and violated. I tried explaining to her that I want to post few pictures on Yelp and give you guys a good review. She said, you need to ask first, I said I think I have enough decency and proper manners/etiquette's to ask first, but everyone these days, write reviews on Yelp and post photos. She wouldn't want to listen or budge. Very rude & disrespectful!! Kept saying no, but I still took a photo of the mirror and other things. As I approached to the most friendly owner in the nail salon industry, he charged me $23.00 and I have noticed that they went up on the price only for manicure by $2.00. I didn't know that. I told him what happened and he apologized like 3 times on his employees behalf. Apology coming from him was HUGE!!! Place is clean, and they have ample parking spaces shared with 4 other businesses. We will see what happens, whether I will go back again or stick to my PERFECT NAIL SALON in Sherman Oaks where everyone is truly welcomed!!

I've been going to this place for the past 20 years but today not Mary but another lady did my nails which she did an awful job. When I asked her to fix it she added 2 more coats of color on my nails which still they didn't look clean and right. I showed it to the owner and the owner told me that I made a mess myself which I told him no I didn't do anything. I tried to show him what was wrong with my nails which he just kept saying I did it and my color was old. I told him if my color was old how come the lady didn't say anything and the owner continued to call him back tomorrow. I left the place and looked at my nails outside in the natural light which they looked like I did my own color and looked messy. I went back and politely asked them to redo my nails again. They all started to speak their own language together and told me that the lady who did my nail been working at this place for 10 years and I told them that I've been going to them for a long time and I have never complained. The husband and the wife started talking their own language again and told me if I want my money back for my nails, I said yes and the guy gave me my money back and told me not to go back there again. He thought I will recommend them to anyone ever again and I will go back. They are very rude and I would not ever go back. 0 customer respect. I have gone this place for a while not because of service or for sure not because of owner . All the people who works there are pretty good but owner has really bad manner on scheduling things and if you are late for 5 min on appointment, she would start yelling in Vietnamese - it is very rude. I would think about if you want to have nice relaxing nail salon, this is not the place. read more

The nail salon from HELL. I have been coming here since 2006 - twice a month. Today I asked for a replacement set of acrylic nails and after Linda had removed the old ones from the first hand, she cut them to the quick without discussing it with me as she had decided to use tips instead. There were no problems with my nails under the acrylic. I called the new owner over and she said it was not her fault and she was not responsible for what her workers did. My best friend Anna referred me to this salon a while ago, and I finally decided to give them a try a few times and I love it here! Everybody is very sweet and welcoming, they always accommodate to what you want and need, and I haven't had any bad or not as great experiences with any of the technicians. They all do a wonderful job and take good care of you. My nails look amazing! read more

I love this place ! It's clean, friendly and they do a great work!!! For someone that has had trouble finding the perfect place to do nails over the past few months I think I finally found my go to place. I don't live close by but I don't mind driving 20 min to get my nails done by An. Who truly is amazing! Thank you An! I have been coming to this salon for about 3 years. My go to girl is Helen but everyone does an amazing job there. Recently I wanted acrylic nails for an event I was going to since my own nails are very brittle and short. Hannah and Vicky advised me not to get acrylic nails because it would damage my nails and it will not last more than a week. This is the second week and my nails look amazing. They really do care about their customers and do an amazing job to satisfy their clients. read more

I am the pickiest person when it comes to getting my nails done, I need to make sure everything is perfect. I am so lucky to have found this place, every time I go I ask for Michelle and she does an amazing job. There was one time where I called in and asked for her and she was on vacation so I was hesitant about getting my nails done that day because I only trust her, to my surprise the ladies that took care of me did just as good of a job, I'm in love. I always do gel manicure and I love how their equipment is clean and they make you put on gloves to cover your hands so the UV rays from the gel machine doesn't damage your skin. Overall great place, everyone is SUPER friendly as opposed to other nail salons where they give you attitude, and their color selection is AMAZING they have sooooo many colors. read more

Great salon! Very clean and very friendly! Walked in on Labor Day (every other nail salon was closed on the holiday) with my mom and they told us to pick a polish and sat us down immediately. The salon has message/spa chairs and a lot of Essie polish. A basic pedicure was $15 and a mani/pedi was $25. Very reasonable! Overall very good experience! Will definitely come back! read more

I absolutely love this place! I am very picky but when i come here I'm not worried at all. I recommend LANA for gel manicure and regular manicure & Anne for pedicure especially if you have in grows. Sandy is also good for pedicure. Just call ahead of time since all three of them are always busy. read more

Ever since this place got popular. One client after the other. It became dirty. Dirty equipment. Dirty tubs. Dirty dirty. It went from being my nail place to im not going back here because they gave my toe an infection THREE times! So that's it for me. I love the girls there not their fault. Give them a minute to clean between clients! read more

A girl recommended this salon to me claiming it's great and reasonably priced, but boy was she wrong on the "great" part! Ladies don't fall for the price.. The nail technician who did my gel manicure, Kathy, was very sloppy. I had to tell her to clean the gel polish off my skin so they won't peel off fast. Andddd 3 days later my thumb started to peel! I went back the next day and she "fixed" it in less than two minutes which caused it to not dry properly and look messy. I wasn't going to leave this review until I noticed my index finger peeled off just right now.. 5 days later. I'd rather pay $5 more and have beautiful long lasting gel mani than come here! read more

I love going to In Style Nails! I go there for waxing and nails. They shape my brows beautifully! It is so difficult to find a place where they listen to exactly WHAT you want and actually do it. I've gone to places in the valley and had my eyebrows ruined by people who like to do whatever they think looks good.. and ignore what I, the customer is asking of them! I personally hate rounded brows and I only like eyebrows arched/angled.. and that is exactly what I always get at In Style Nails --- Perfectly Arched, FLAWLESS brows! :) I highly recommend them for quality services. They take their time on you to focus and never rush. You will walk out satisfied and happy that you didn't spend a lot on a fantastic service well done. I live 30/45 min away from this place, but I think it's well worth the drive. I would say the best thing about them is that they take care of the customer and provide quality services overall! Give them a try and you'll be going back. :) read more

Ok so went here to FIX a horrible manicure that I got from high end Nail Garden...let me tell you SANDY is great!!!! She cleaned my nails more thoroughly and cut all of my cuticles and reshaped my nails BETTER than Nail Garden! I paid 17$ at Nail Garden for a crappy job. sandy fixed everything and did an excellent job with my gel manicure (finally joined society). thanks again Sandy! The best gel manicure I've ever got in town. Perfect- just the way i like it and it lasted over 3 weeks, Had to remove them only because my nails grew too long to keep it. Unfortunately, can not recall the girl's name (waited too long to write this review) who did the manicure for me, but will definitely recognize her. I had to switch salons because my fave spot TK Nails was not doing the same work as day 1. So i started to read reviews on here and took a chance with this one. Am I glad I did!!! Their work was flawless and I was impressed by their attention to detail (meaning they cleaned up the cuticles beautifully!) The guy not sure his name was amazing on the feet and I will be asking for him all the time. Will be coming back here and the prices were reasonable. One flaw is they don't take tips on credit card but I noticed most salons are not also. read more

If you don't find a parking spot on street level, there is ample parking available on the 2nd floor. Everyone here is wonderful. I never ask for anyone in particular because I have found that all the ladies who work here are great!!!! That's not the usual experience I've had with other nail salons. read more

I have been coming here for at least 5 years without disappointment. Sandy is my girl and does an amazing job but when she's busy, I will go to anyone available and always like the outcome. My gels last for 2-3 weeks, pedicures even longer. I work in Beverly Hills and have been to many of the nail salons out here that people (and celebrities) pay a ridiculous amount of money for and it never lasts! Chips within a week and the service isn't great either despite the area. I have recommended many people to In Style Nails and will continue to tell people about them as I always get compliments. I have been many many places to get my nails done, and this is honestly the best place I have been, and reasonably priced. I usually get a spa pedicure and gel manicure and its $40 total. I love that they have so many polish colors and they have every color regular polish to match a gel color (so you can have your pedi match your mani). One big thing that I also love about this place is that they give you gloves when they put your hands under the UV lights for the gel mani. Really nice place and nice ladies working there. Oh and my gel nails last so much longer when done here versus done at other places. 3 weeks easy. read more

I absolutely love Hannah and her work. She does the best job on my acrylics. No nail tech has ever had my nails last for more than two weeks but Hannah does it the best. The salon is very clean and always busy so don't expect to walk in and get seated right away. Love this place! read more

This has been my go to nail salon for years but I will not be going back…read more When I first moved out here, I fell in love with my nail tech Cathy (and Tammy, hey girl!) and havent been able to look back despite a multitude of issues at the business but I can't in good conscience go back anymore. I have had repeated issues from the owner Suzy constantly DOUBLE BOOKING my nail appt time and causing longer than usual wait times. As someone in a high pressure job with little windows for self care, it has constantly put a strain on my ability to enjoy these appointments and let alone even get the service i'd planned for. I've put up with this behavior for as long as I can but ever since my favorite techs have left, I will not be stepping my foot back in at the shop. (Shoutout Tammy and Cathy, miss your nails every day). Guess i'm back to shopping for a new salon now. Might even be worth switching neighborhoods just to have some reliability!

HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to Tonia the literal best nail artist in town. She has been allowing me to do all kinds of crazy nail designs for years. There is truly no one better than her. Her precision and dedication to perfection is unparalleled. I receive so many compliments and you can just absolutely tell the care and passion she has for her craft with every new idea we have together. She is incredibly meticulous, detail-oriented, and truly takes her time to make sure everything is done perfectly. I usually drive all the way to Glendale for pedicures because I'm very picky about who does my nails and pedicures, but I am officially obsessed with Julie's work. She does such a beautiful job, and I can confidently say I've found my new pedicure place. Hopefully one of these days I'll also try hard gel here as well. Beyond the service itself, the entire experience was wonderful. The front desk staff is so sweet, everyone at the salon is welcoming and always smiling, and the salon itself is beautiful. It's just such a pleasant environment overall. I'll definitely be coming back -- and as a bonus, it's located in a plaza, so parking is super easy and plentiful.

She knows exactly how I like my pedicure done, including the shape and overall finish. Martha consistently brings my nail designs to life perfectly every time, without needing step-by-step direction like some nail artists I've had in the past. They're both so welcoming and provide high-quality work. I highly recommend them!

I called and was pleased they take Zelle, I let them know I'd be by in 30 minutes. When I arrived, everyone was so welcoming. I chose the Deluxe 1 pedi with gel for $60. The service was not rushed and the tech Wendy was extremely thorough. Because I was trying to match a color, she even finished one toe completely before asking if it was ok to continue with the rest. The massage was the best I've had. My pedicure was perfect, very detail oriented. The facility was clean and there were many regulars that came in, the staff welcomed them by name. I would 100% come here again, next time I am in town. I might even go out of my way just to come here again!

The only reason I am giving this review 3 stars is because I actually kind of liked the way they did my nails, which is as important as the overall experience. The service sucked. I had an appointment set for a gel manicure and pedicure. The only time I have to go is during my lunch break (I didn't even get to eat lunch). My friend's graduation party is coming up and I need my nails done. By the time I get home from work, all of my usual nail places are closed. So, I decided to try somewhere closer to where I work. I looked up this place and they had decent reviews. When I called to make an appointment, I asked if it was possible for them to finish everything in an hour. I was assured it would be done. I promptly arrived for my appointment. The woman who greeted (more like stared at my face and asked me what I wanted) acted like she was surprised I was there, as if they didn't know there was an appointment at that time. The place is okay. Nothing too special in terms of decor. The side with the chairs is nice, but the rest looks messy. There were cleaning supplies and boxes everywhere in the front. The washer and dryer were visible in the back. When I walked in, the place smelled disgusting- like a combination of acetone, someone's lunch being heated up, and mildew. One of the nail technicians finally realized after a while and opened the door to let in some fresh air. Even though I scheduled an appointment, they made me wait 25 minutes before finally taking me to the pedicure chair. While I was waiting, all of the other nail technicians just kept staring at me like I was of another world. Another woman arrived for her appointment after me, and they took her first. Why set me an appointment if you're going to make me wait? I might as well have been a walk-in! The reason I called is so I don't have to wait! A few of them very kindly thanked me for waiting. I really appreciated that. When I finally sat down in the chair, I handed the woman the color I chose and she began my pedicure. She asked me if I had picked a color for gel also. I said I needed to look at their options. She began to laugh in my face and say "You didn't pick one out yet?" How am I supposed to pick one out if nobody gives me the options? Am I supposed to magically know where you keep your samples? I asked them to give it to me so I can decide. Instead of giving me the options, she picked one she though matched my pedicure color. I asked again to see the options so I could choose. Again, she brought another color she thought matched. I asked her to bring all of the options because I didn't want my nails and toes to match. Once again, she brought what she thought was nice. At this point, I was so frustrated and pressed for time that I agreed to what she brought. She then informed me they didn't have that color and brought me another one. At this point, I didn't care what color they brought. Just start my manicure! It took them another 20 minutes before someone started my gel. Everything was fine for a while, until halfway through my pedicure- the woman doing it left to go wax another client's eyebrows. Umm. . . Okay. . . I'll just wait I guess. So many people arrived for walk-ins. Half the time they would tell them to come back later cause they were busy, and then immediately change their minds and say "no, come back, we'll take you now." They seated people out of order. It didn't matter who came first. They chose based on their own whims- very unorganized. This caused them to run late for others who were waiting for their appointments. The woman doing my gel manicure wouldn't let the time finish on the dryer before making me switch hands. One hand would dry for 20 seconds, while the other dried for a full minute. She kept pulling the dryer away before I could even take my hand out. I get it that they're busy, but I shouldn't have to suffer because you guys couldn't plan your appointments properly. They finally finished and I was so ready to leave. They actually did a nice job on my pedicure and gel manicure. It's good quality. It's the only good thing I have to say. They take their time. The woman doing the pedicure took her time more than the woman doing my gel. She rushed it a little, but it was still good. Overall, I was there for almost 2 hours- I was late to go back to work. I don't know if they just happened to be extremely busy today or if this is a regular occurrence. Either way, don't take walk-ins if you have people coming for appointments. Similarly, don't book appointments if you cannot guarantee that you can take them at the scheduled time! Squeezing in a few extra people every day is not worth providing bad service to the other clients who took the time to book an appointment. read more

Since there are about 10 nail salons per mile on Ventura Boulevard, the choices are endless, but finding a reputable, clean, friendly and consistently good group of manicurists is a bit more challenging. This salon is located in a small strip mall, tucked in between an H&R Block and a veterinarian clinic and could be easily missed by passers by. This is the best nail salon that I have found in L.A., bar none. The owner is professional, pleasant, and the surroundings are clean and inviting. The staff of manicurists have been there quite a while and the customers are quite loyal. The manicurists are perfectionists and very talented. They have pedicure massage chairs and plenty of up-to-date nail polishes for clients to choose from. Best to call ahead for an appointment though, they tend to get busy! read more

I would give this place a -5, if possible. The absolute WORST place that I have ever been to. Filthy, did not follow safety precautions, totally rude and, WORST of all, RACIST. This place was absoltutely so awful that I would request that my 9 year-old request a pedi before returning to that place. How this place stays in business is beyond me. I've been going to this place for sometimes kept going back for the technicians But the management the rudest, the most unprofessional and racist!! No loyalty or customer care you are just a walking wallet!! Yes I am talking about the owner Vicky! I can't stand Her I don't even know how she keeps her business!!!
