Great sushi restaurant., probably the best in BA. The vibe is always upbeat and vibrant. They have always been very consistent in their food, drinks and atmosphere. Their customer service is awesome and I love that, especially if you like to sit at the bar. I like the selection of rolls, sashimi and other cooked items. My girlfriend loves the ITR salad. They have an second menu that has many additional sushi rolls so be sure to ask for that. I've eaten at In The Raw on Brookside and on the hill for many years. Sushi is always incredible and the service is always on point and commiserate with the cost. This was not evidenced by our meal at the BA location. The food was fine, the service was shit despite the empty restaurant. Our server was extremely inexperienced, she messed up literally every point of dinner service including forgetting to put in one of our groups order. She had zero knowledge of the menu and was unable to answer the most basic of questions. The sashimi platter was served with no explanation of the selections etc. The ambience was disappointing, almost as disappointing as the obligatory 20% tip for our party of six, which was somehow doubled for the member of our party whom was most frustrated by the delay of her food. Their resolution was to give her a gift card as they couldn't adjust the bill. Our crew responded graciously in the moment but that's just unforgivable. We choose In the raw for their excellent service and great food. We will never choose this location based on tonight and I would be mortified to bring clients or guests here. I have always been intimidated by sushi. I have a crippling fear of the ocean. My momma always told me to not drown and I took it to heart. Fish have always scared me and so the basic activities, such as eating fine seafood, or even fishing have given me anxiety. All of these problems tonight however, were cured by the one of the greatest men I have ever met. He had an unmatched nurturing energy and I was absorbed. That man cured my fear of seafood. Sushi is now my favorite food, and all my fears are gone. He has done what no anxiety medication can do. This man was our In The Raw server, Spencer. Spencer immediately was like the father figure I never had. I was inspired by the man. He showed that he truly cared about our well being. This man understood us, on a deeper level I didn't know was even there. He inspired me to start making money. He inspired me to become a true man. He showed a passion and honesty, while caring completely. Spencer changed me, and my perception on everything. Spencer has inspired me to also try new things, and made In The Raw in Broken Arrow my favorite restaurant. I will ask for Spencer every time I eat here. He deserves any promotion possible. He did not need to tell us to write any of this. He placed the energy in me to download Yelp, and write this review. Spencer is an amazing server, an amazing worker, and an even better man. He deserves any improvement in his work he can. He shows dedication and caring. He cares for everyone he serves, and he has had an impact on me and my perceptions. This same statement goes for two of my friends that also attended. There is no way for me to put this in words in its entirety. If I were to rate this restaurant and especially experience with such a true man, it would be an unimaginable amount. It would be a googolplexianth/10. I'm only giving this place one star because I have no choice. The service was ridiculously slow for it being dead. They seemed to be "out" of everything I asked to drink. And to top it off there was a cockroach roaming on the sushi bar. We complained to manager and all she did was say it was because of cold and claimed to be calling the exterminator this upcoming week. Makes you wonder how "clean" they really are. read more

We walked in at lunch. There was tables available. We stood at the door for 3 or 4 minutes before someone said to sit anywhere. We picked a table by the sushi bar. We proceeded to sit for 15 minutes before we got up and walked out. At least 3 servers passed us without anyone saying anything. Nothing....not even can I get you something to drink? As we walked out, we told a server that we have been waiting for 15 minutes. The server said sorry, we only have three servers working. Still inexcusable. First time here, and I thought the place was nice and cozy. Sushi bar at the back and drinking bar at the front. I came in about 4:00pm and the place wasn't very busy. That's a good thing for me :) I was greeted and had the menu explained to me a little bit, which was cool. I ordered miso soup, two rolls and a Sapporo to wash it down. I got the Dunwell roll and the Thunder roll. Both were ok, not the best sushi I've had but definitely not the worst. The Thunder roll was my favorite of the two. Presentation was so-so but I definitely enjoyed my experience here and will likely be back to try other rolls. The miso was good too so be sure to try it here. The sushi rolls in my opinion are kinda pricey for the quality but they do have a happy hour from 4-7 so I encourage anyone to try a few with a nice 2 dollar domestic brew! read more

Worse experience ever at a restaurant. Went there 7/16/21 at 6:45 pm. Took a seat at the bar to have a glass of wine before dinner. The female bartender asked if we were waiting on a table. We said yes but would like a drink first. She told us she'd get back with us. There were two other people at the bar. One was waiting on his check and the other was having a cocktail. After about 15 minutes while the bartender talked on her cell phone, drank a glass of water and washed a few glasses we asked if they have a wine list. She said yes and walked away. The woman sitting at the bar told the bartender that we had been waiting quite a while to order. The bartender said oh they are waiting on a table. From the beginning we told her we wanted to order something to drink. We finally decided to leave after it was obvious the bartender with a horrible attitude wasn't going to serve us. When we got up to leave, in her arrogant snide way, she came over to us and said goodbye, have a great night and walked away. NEVER will we return to this business! I got the Philly Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll, and my fiancée got the Spicy Tuna Roll w/ jalapeños. We also ordered the Tako salad (have you tried it, do you like Octopus? ITS AMAZING!! I normally do not leave negative reviews, but when my wife and I went to the Broken Arrow location it did not meet expectations. The first issue is servers letting customers order sushi rolls that is missing ingredients. I ordered a sushi roll, and my server never said they were out of masgo until it was served. I was still charged full price for a product that was missing ingredients. My wife got the shrimp tempura roll and has been throwing up all night. I am sure the other in the raw vu locations are great but do not go to the Broken Arrow location unless you feel like throwing up seaweed all night! read more

I lived in Houston for a lil while and the sushi here is on par with the Houston area as well which was surprising because the quality is just as good as it was that far from the ocean. Even the GM is very friendly. Yet another wonderful meal at this restaurant. Always a good time. The staff is always courteous and the food delicious. Used to come here all the time this place has really gone down hill since then. I came in 2 nights ago with my boyfriend we were seated immediately and then left for dead. The edamame is SO incredibly salty like I don't understand how they think it's edible. And I love salt. So that's saying something. I came in again today for a quick to-go order of 2 rice bowls while it was very dead and the couple and older gentleman who came in 15 minutes after us were seated and brought food immediately we were watching the kitchen and as they put up our food it sat there for about 10 minutes before even being noticed by the group of worker talking to the side. This is my second time dining here. We always sit at the bar and we are ITR on the hill regulars. The sushi chefs are very creative at this location especially Sergio. Some of the bartenders are not that great when it comes to hospitality and service. Although Genessa(I'm not sure how to spell her name) but she was nice and she introduced us to a drink that she named "The Nessa" and it's the bomb.com. I really recommend everyone to order this amazing cocktail when you visit! I been to sushi bars around the country but this is no chef to take his creations for granted. I along with my spouse return strictly to receive his courteous creations because we are never let down. I've had tuna towers before but tonight we had two custom towers competed with tuna, salmon, avocado,crispy garlic and shrimp. My first tower of its kind. I am from Dallas and once believed I had an opinion but Chef Erik/Jorgè shattered that with a one of a kind creation. Always request the handsome sushi chef with a yankee cap known as chef Erik/Jorgè. He takes tremendous pride in what he serves while working along the expectations of his customers. My wife and I have been regulars here since they opened. We eat here at least once a week. The service started dwindling several weeks ago so we began eating in the back where the chefs prepare your sushi. All was good for a couple of weeks then we stop in tonight around 8:30. Promptly received our drinks and ordered our meals of four rolls and an appetizer. After 45 minutes one of the chefs brings an order that was actually for the couple down the row from us. I advised this was not what we ordered and they then tried to get it to the correct table. After nearly 50 minutes I asked to tab out on our drink order and cancel our dinner order. The worst frigging service ever , no apologies, and we left vowing never to return. Your staff was too busy playing grab ass to service your customers. Meh, pretty much sums it up. I drive past the place all the time taking my son to school and was excited to have In The Raw much closer to me. Stopped in yesterday to get some sushi to go. The rice was completely under seasoned. I don't know if it just needed some salt or vinegar wasn't added to the rice but it lacked any taste whatsoever. The flat rice ruined the fresh ingredients they had used and wasn't worth eating. A waste of $50! Don't think I will bother trying again to see if it was just a bad night for rice or this was the acceptable standard there. The staff and the front door that helped though were incredibly nice and courteous so I will give them that. read more
