Somehow there are few restaurants which we want to go again but they disappoint you every time. This is one of them. The Chinese bhel and the crispy corn were delicious but the dumplings we ordered were served with cold filling inside. They looked as if steamed straight from freezer :( Very displeased. I always liked their food but not the service. But in my recent visit it was over the top how the manager treated our group. Before the 80 minute mark of being seated he said we have a reservation coming up, he was subtle first, then next time he came and said "it looks like you're done eating and we need the table" (few of us were done but not all). Basically kicking us out for no reason whatsoever, we ordered more than one entree per person. Unbelievably rude and has some issue. Needless to say, there wasn't any reservation coming up, the place was 60% vacant woth olenty of empty tables. We left after 10-15 minutes of the incidents and there wasnt any group that came in or waited outside. I appreciated that the chef asked about our taste preferences and prepared the food accordingly. However, I did not like the behavior of the servers, which affected the overall experience. We ordered the Paneer 65, Chili Garlic Noodles, and Szechwan with Tofu. We expected the paneer appetizer to come out first, but all the dishes ended up arriving at the same time Paneer 65 (5/5): This is my all time favorite dish from Inchin's. Cooked Manchurian style with a crunchy outside and soft inside. Seasoning was perfect! Went here to satisfy an Indo-Chinese craving, but it was a avg experience. For appetizers, we tried the spring rolls, which unfortunately tasted like the store bought ones. But, the paneer tandoori momos were AMAZING! Genuinely so delicious, the tandoori coating was so flavorful and even the paneer stuffing was yum. For the entrée, we had the vegetable coin Manchurian. We ordered wings of heaven and chicken 65 fried rice. Both were very bland, with no salt or any flavor. The manager, however, was super nice and remade the wings for us, which made it slightly better. However, the wings were still very dry and not as flavorful as I'd hoped and heard about. Always a good time at inchins! The decor is nice and a good place to celebrate something. The food was great! The ak47 chicken was no joke! It was super spicy but still tasted good which is not always the case when places prioritize heat. The chicken could've been juicer but over all yummy. The chili chicken was fantabulous! Juicy chicken pieces, slightly crispy, bathed in a nice soupy gravy. Located in Downtown Sunnyvale, parking is plentiful. The interior has a lot of seating, making it good for large groups. The larger tables are partitioned off so it feels more private whilst not feeling enclosed. The noise level is average and music wasn't blaringly loud. Service was great. We were updated quite frequently as to our food status. The food was very yummy. I absolutely loved the mango salad. The flavor and texture were perfect. The mango lassi was way too sweet. Other than that, the consistency was good. The Mongolian beef was good too. It was tender and juicy. A bit on the sweet side though but overall solid. Tap to pay is accepted. This place has come down hill since it opened. While the ambience is nice with good decor, the food is falling way short of continued expectations. I have not been to the Sunnyvale location in probably over 10 years and that for a celebration. The San Jose/Santa Clara location had bad service and low food quality the last time I went so I won't go back. Our first item is usually the Crispy Chili Baby Corn. This has been the most consistent dish and has good taste and the one dish we enjoy. We also ordered the Toothpick lab, which are meaty spiced lamb cubes on toothpicks. A decent sized portion for several to share as a started. The flavor was good; not too spicy and you could eat a few of these without even noticing. The lamb however was a little on the dry side. The we try to Burnt Garlic Fried Rice. It sounded good however this fell way short. While the portion sized was good, the dish completely lacked flavor. To me, the chef is the expert and there is no reason for me to have to add salt, or sauces to the dish to make it palatable. We returned the dish, and the server almost seemed reluctant to do so, as he was wondering why we didn't like it. A few minutes later, the manager came and asked what we didn't like and told us that it's interesting that we didn't like it as this is one of their most popular dishes and is ordered constantly. The chef remade the dish for us at no charge to ensure that it was better. It was definitely a little better with more flavor. But it still did not pop and so we added their Momo Sauce too it which kicked it to the spice and taste level that we were looking for. The final dish was the chicken lettuce cups. I have had this at many Chinese restaurants and all of them serve this in small lettuce rounds and the chicken usually is ground with fried rice noodle strips. This dish also fell short. The chicken was in thin strips and they put peas and carrots in it as well, which was unusual to me. The lettuce leak was gigantic! I mean they literally found the largest head of lettuce and gave us the leaves from that. It was probably almost 8" in diameter with a thick spine so it was very difficult to roll it. And as the other dish, we had to spice it ourselves. It's hard to believe this place is a chain with so many locations around the USA. Perhaps that is the problem in itself. read more

Inchin's was pretty highly rated on Uber Eats, so I was looking forward to it. I wish I checked Yelp's rating (a 2.8 at the time of this posting). They're 4.1 on Google. I'm staying at a hotel and needed dinner, so I accepted the $55 bill for chow mein and spring rolls, which arrived in about a half hour. I'll say the food was fine. Spring rolls were not made in-house, and the noodles were very oily. Including a full sized 2025 calendar with my order was an interesting choice. Similarly, they included a jar of pepper sauce that might normally be well-received, but its greater than the TSA limit of 3oz, so it's not coming home with me. I would have loved to save the cost of these gifts, but even more so - I would have appreciated utensils. read more

I visited the Sunnyvale branch after a long time (perhaps ~10 years) as I used to visit Fremont and San Jose closer to work and friends. I liked the Sunnyvale branch since it was good in service and food both but was far. Fremont was worse in taste and service. San Jose was worse in service, taste, and food quantity. I had gift cards bought from the Fremont branch and didn't use them for a long time, so I went to Sunnyvale to use them. The ambiance was good as before. As expected, the food was the same in taste. We ordered Chinese Bhel, Vegetable Coins, Schezwan Fried Rice, and Schezwan Rice Noodles. Everything was good in taste except the quantity for coins was not per price but we still loved the taste. I went here during a company lunch last summer and the food was surprisingly flavorful and tasty, so we came back here for a Friday dinner. It was busy and crowded inside but we were able to be seated without a wait. We ordered the Chili Garlic Noodle and Szechwan Fried Rice, both with chicken. Chili Garlic Noodle (3.5/5): Not sure if they changed chefs or recipes since last summer, but this was not nearly as garlicky, spicy, or flavorful as before. The garlic and spice level are disappointingly muted, but it's still well-seasoned and savory. I wish the noodles were more al dente, but there's a lot of veggies in here that add a satisfying fresh crunch with each bite. Szechwan Fried Rice (2/5): This one did not have any Szechuan spice taste, flavor, heat, or numbing properties at all, it's a misnomer! There isn't much depth or wok hei to the taste, and the rice isn't firmly granular but kinda soggy. Kinda wish I had some Panda Express fried rice instead at some point! The chicken pieces are also all really large and elongated, I wish they cut them into smaller bite-size pieces. The interior is clean and fancy, and the decor reminds me of that of P. F. Chang's. Nice place, music and ambience & service was pretty quick as well- Ordered food/ drink: masala soda (lil spicy n tangy), I loved it and asked for refills..very helpful if you are having spicy burnt garlic rice (tasted great & spicy ). Even the garlic noodles and paneer fried rice all tasted good. Appetizers included corn manchurian and cauliflower. Both were good and few in group ordered chicken version which I heard was good too. Parking can be tricky in the backside lot as it gets filled up due to many restaurants around the block. The restaurant was at 50% occupancy and there were no parties in sight or waiting. We ignored but he came up to us once again and insisted we leave for no obvious reason. If you have not had the Inchins crispy chilli baby corn, you are missing out. Trust me, I could eat only the baby corn for an entire meal. But, the rest of their options are too good for me to do that. I love the cauliflower manchurian, fried rice (the burnt chilli garlic fried rice, szechwan fried rice, and spicy thai basil fried rice are all great), and chilli garlic noodles. The service is pretty quick and the restaurant is generally busy in the evenings, but not too busy to the point where you have to wait for a table. Came here with a group for lunch and had been looking forward to trying this place for some time. So maybe my expectations were too high. Decor is nice and fits with the style of the cuisine. A little dark inside but that's what makes it interesting. We were seated quickly as it wasn't crowded. Service was prompt but staff seemed a little robotic and lacked any enthusiasm (at least fake it a little when you're interacting with customers). Our group ordered an assortment of dishes to share. I really appreciate the variety they offer - Chinese and Indian - as well as an abundance of vegetarian options. We ordered quite a lot and I am not sure what all we ordered as nothing really stood out other than the Paneer Makhani and Manchurian Cauliflower. We ordered some chicken and noodle dishes but they were somewhat flavorless. What was odd is that the dishes were supposed to come with soup and an egg roll each but we did not receive those (didn't mention it as we already had plenty of food). So had to remove a star since we shouldn't have to ask for items that come standard with the meal. Since I was with a group perhaps we didn't order the better items. I would like to go back and try a couple other dishes to see if we simply ordered the wrong things or if their food in general is just mid. I came with 2 friends on a Saturday evening and were seated promptly at ~6:30pm (restaurant was still quite empty at this time but filled up later). The servers were really nice -- they provided recommendations from the menu and also checked in periodically to make sure everything was okay. We ordered 3 dishes and shared everything family style which worked out perfectly. From the Indian side of the menu, we got the butter chicken and paneer methi malai (recommended by our server) plus an order of garlic naan. This place was awesome. We came for an early dinner on a Friday night. Our server was so kind and attentive-- I wish I remembered his name. We started with mixed drinks. I had a Mango Mocktail and my husband had a hot cocktail from a teapot. Very unique. For an appetizer we had the Thai Chicken Steamed Dumplings, which were delicious. Then for entrée we shared the Manchurian Cauliflower (dry option) & the Garlic Pepper Chicken (with the sauce). I came here on Labor Day evening because my friend and i wanted Thai food... we typed "Thai food" into the gps and this was on the list. When we arrived i realized it wasn't what we were looking for but we decided to stay and eat. The service was great. We were seated quickly as they weren't super busy. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. She helped us with deciphering some of the menu and getting the spice levels correct. We ordered: Momos in sauce- My favorite dish of the night. Loved everything about these. I could have eaten 30 of them. 10/10 Thai chicken dumplings- Also good but nothing special, cute color wrapping. You have to order dipping sauce for $2 which was really weird. I just dipped them into the sauce for the momos. 8/10 Chicken lettuce wraps- These were ok. They don't use minced chicken so it's not really cohesive with the veggies. The flavor was ok, nothing to write home about. 7/10 Orange chicken- The sauce was indeed tangy as described on the menu. It was good, bright sweet flavor. I don't know why they put mandarin orange slices in it though. That really threw me off. Hot oranges are not very good. 7/10 Chicken biryani- This was good. Had a lot of flavor. Chicken was kinda dry. 8/10 Shrimp lo mein- This was ok too. The flavor was nice and light. There were a lot of veggies. Overall decent just not anything special once again.
