This is a modified version of California Screamin', now converted to include The Incredibles IP. I've had high expectation for this ride as it is the flagship attraction for Pixar Pier, but it ultimately failed to impress me. I suppose it was "my fault" for riding it during daytime, but because of the bright sun, a lot of the new decorations and special effects just didn't quite pop. I imagine all the colorful lighting and visual effects would be much more prominent and exciting to see during dark hours. There is a minimal story that's easy to miss since the coaster does go by fast enough for me to miss the details. (Too fast to examine the little things, but not fast enough to really produce true excitement and enthusiasm. See below.) The ride itself was just too slow for my taste to enjoy. I was once a passholder, so the thrill of the coaster is long gone. Not one single drop or the inversion loop managed to give me any scare anymore. It was almost like a slightly sped-up tour of the pier, giving me a chance to enjoy the scenery--this was exactly how I felt, just a pleasant break for my eyes to look around. It's a bit fast, but pretty chill. It's almost like driving, a car ride, eh. And to think, I once used to enjoy this coaster, but nowadays, it's just gotten old, I guess? The new coat of Pixar paint didn't do much for me, other than, well, I guess it's cute enough. I do enjoy every single Edna Mode appearance. She's the best, dahling. From a purely thrill-seeking perspective, I would recommend Goofy's Sky School instead. That tinier model packs a much bigger punch. The photo op was turned off, and the cookie nom nom stand was closed, on the day that I visited. So there was really nothing redeeming for me to rate this higher than 3 stars. (P.S. No FastPass available during my COVID times visit, so I waited roughly 25 minutes for this ride. That certainly and sadly didn't help.) read more

In honor of the Incredibles 2 movie, The Incredicoaster was Incredible! (Formerly known as the California Screamin'). I haven't been to the Disney California Adventure Park (DCA) and Disneyland in the over 15 years and so I really can't compare this ride to the California Screamin' or to any other rollercoaster ride in DCA or Disneyland. (I'm more of a Universal Studios Hollywood / Harry Potter gal - Gryffindor to be exact!). Wait Time: I highly recommend getting a FASTPASS. There's no Single Rider line either. My Group of 5 got a FASTPASS and we waited no longer than 5 minutes to board the ride. Since it's my first time back to DCA, I'm guessing the wait time can be anywhere from 10 mins to maybe 2 hours, depending on what time and day you're here. The Ride: Takes no longer than 3 minutes. Once you're strapped in, you'll be zooming through the ride with various twists, turns and flips. SPOILER ALERT: The very first part of the ride is a HUGE DROP! (Therefore, if you're prone to motion sickness or have a heart condition, this is not the ride for you). I felt like my heart jumped into my throat, lol! But no worries, once you get through that, the rest of the ride is smooth and awesome! In the tunnel sections, you'll catch glimpses of the Incredibles family looking for baby Jack-Jack, and Mr. Incredible uses Cookie Num-Nums to lure him back. Also, as you leave the ride, you'll smell Cookie Num-Nums because the vendor will be selling it down there too! I didn't get any because I was still full from the Food and Wine Festival event (from March 1, 2019 to April 23, 2019). Your Belongings: You don't need to put your belongings in a locker. Just secure your backpack or bag between your legs. There's also a small pouch to place your smaller belongings in. For glasses or sunglasses, you can wear them on the ride. I ended up putting my prescription glasses away in my bag because I didn't want to risk losing them, especially, since I was the one driving here, lol! Photos: Photos are available for purchase. If you're an annual pass holder, it can be emailed digitally to you. Overall, I dig this ride and wouldn't mind riding it again the next time I'm back at DCA, yay! This ride is great..thrilling without being too scary. I think this ride is far better than the old roller coaster- smoother for sure. The line seems to go fast. Downside is some of the waiting is in the sun and is in a a small area that does not get much of a breeze. Single rider's line is off to the side- might try that. They seem to wait for a bunch of people to build up then they get taken as a group/ Taking off is great fun. We actually just go to ride in the very front and that was interesting as you can see the whole track in front of you. Being in the very back is a bit more scary because you get yanked over the top of the tracks. I like the slight pauses in between the ride. The photos always turn out pretty funny. read more

My brother and I enjoyed riding the incredicoaster at Disney California adventure last weekend on July 3rd and we absolutely loved it. Also, it's our first time ever since, I've been waiting to ride on some of those rides from Disney California adventure as a kid to young adult. Yes, we enjoyed the fastest ride as we were younger. Still, I have to try the radiator springs racers at cars land, Spider-Man web slinger, and rise of the resistance from Disneyland next year, when there's no crowded people after, New Year's Day. Best thrill ride in the park, not to ignore that it's also a fun theme ride. Those drops will give you some large winged butterflies. Don't be scared of the loop. It's the easiest part of the ride. You are very much so pulled into your chair with centrifugal force. Went on this for the first and then another when it got dark, which gave it a slightly different feel. Very fun ride. It's their major rollercoaster, albeit the old one given a new name and thematic touches. Each seat feels very to itself. So don't be afraid of going single rider. For Disney, this is definitely a great roller coaster since it has a few thrills and drops but it doesn't deter the whole family from boarding. I remember this being the Mickey Coaster and honestly was shocked that they had completely rebranded the coaster for The Incredibles. Then again it is the Pixar Pier so it clicked to me... eventually. I was happy with the ride overall. The music and voiceovers is a great way to give a facelift to this ride but the tunnels were a little underwhelming and I wish they'd put some more money to make the experience incredible (pun intended) instead of some cardboard cutouts. Also wasn't blown away by the multiple Jack-Jacks and how they had set it up. Looked a bit last minute. For you Incredible fans you'll enjoy the very last moment of the coast before you get back to the station. This Incredicoaster is incredible! How many times has that been written here? Probably a million times! This was the ride on my daughter's wish list/ ride bucket list. She felt dizzy on the last roller coaster (the Hulk) and we had to take her back to the hotel. So I was a bit nervous because she wanted to try this one. Luckily, there is only one loop and success! She loved it. This is a great ride because it is one of the longer coasters I have been on, it lasts a couple minutes at least. I love the theming, and the joke in line when the characters acknowledge that this was a different ride. It is fun to hear the dialogue and have the ride go with the actions of the characters, that really enhances the enjoyment of the ride. This is one of their top movies, so making the movie into a ride is like being part of this world and being fully immersed in the energy of this thrill ride. read more

This was our favorite ride at Disneyland California Adventure! Although I miss California Screamin, we loved the new Incredibles theme. We really liked the Pixar Pier aesthetic and vibe. We checked wait times on the mobile app and it said about 45-50 minute wait around noon on a Monday, but it was much shorter than that. It is next to Toy Story Mania and the Ferris Wheel so it's nice that they are all relatively close by to each other. The ride was so much fun and exhilarating. You can get a Jack Jack num num cookie after too for $6. read more

Love this coaster!!! It was rethemed to the Incredibles last year and it is so cute!! The full track of the ride is the same as Screamin', but Disney added lots of additions to the story-line of the ride with voice overs and characters. This is one of the bigger coasters in the parks with loops and big drops and speeds up to 55 mph, it takes up a big footprint in Pixar Pier at Disney's California Adventure Park. During the tunnel sections of the ride, the Incredibles family comes out and they are looking for baby Jack Jack. In the end, Mr. Incredible uses Jack Jack's weakness, chocolate chip cookies aka Cookie Num Num, to lure him back. There is a section of the ride where you can smell the cookies! Good thing, you can get Cookie Num Nums when you exit the ride!! You won't regret it! Warm chocolate chip cookies as big as your palm! Lines can get long but they move fast. Once you get to the platform, it goes quick. Make sure you are ready and put those Mickey ears away. Must be 48 inches to ride. Make sure to get a Fastpass!! This is definitely an upgrade from the old ride. The majority of the ride is the same, but it just has more twists and turns. I stand at a whopping 6'7" and it's definitely uncomfortable, but then again, there's pretty much nothing that's made for people our size. I feel like the carts have gotten smaller, but maybe that was just me. Legs crossed, I was barely able to fit on that painful ride that felt like forever. Tall person rant over. For some reason riding this ride in the PM is so much more thrilling! The countdown is the best part and the way it launches off into this incredible experience is WOW. Since we bought MaxPasses, FastPasses were easily obtained through the Disney app. We used one for the Incredicoaster. We were here on Sunday, November 18th, sometime in the afternoon. I believe the height requirement for this was 48", so only the oldest kid was able to ride? (She's around 7 years old.) I can't recall as it may have just been the adults. (I don't remember if she made the height requirement.) This ride was more adult time anyways as it resembled a real roller coaster. My second favorite ride as it was thrilling compared to all the other rides we had been on. I believe it's exactly the same as California Screamin' (except maybe the colors?), but I've never been on that ride, so I had a lot of fun. From what I read, the fastest coaster in the park. A definite must ride for adults. read more

I found my new favorite ride at DCA!! This is an improvement from California Screamin'. It's a longer ride, the line goes by faster, and I love the Incredibles theme! I love seeing the characters throughout the ride. Jack Jack is awesome! Remember to keep your head back against the head rest when they count down in the beginning of the ride because you might get whiplash or hurt your nose. Incredicoaster is one of our favorite attractions at California Adventure. You might think "who cares? It's just a roller coaster at Disney". In that sense you'd be right. We waited 45 minutes in line for this thing and the Fastpass for it was almost 5 hours ahead. But oh boy! The ride is incredibly fast. From the initial burst, it felt like riding in a Tesla at ludicrous mode. You are immediately blasted off into at amazing speeds. The acceleration of the ride was intense. My son and I had a blast on this roller coaster. Definitely thrilling with a high speed loop and super fast acceleration at the beginning. Before it was over he was yelling "we are doing this again! Now!" Wait time on a Wednesday during spring break week (the week immediately before Easter Sunday for my kids' school district) was great--between 15 and 25 minutes. We got right back into line after seeing the 15 minute sign. We found out afterwards that particular week is blacked out for all except the most expensive season pass holders, which explained the relative small crowds. read more

Possibly dethroning, Star-Lords Quest to get out of the Collector's Fortress. When you see the Pixar Pal-a-Round Ferris Wheel with Mickey Mouse's face, you are getting close. Then when you approach The Incredicoaster, you are THERE! You may notice Edna Mode waiting for you to the right to get the mission done. Fast Pass is available at this attraction. It will be near the launch area of the Incredicoaster. Plus, Single Rider is available when permitted. Each Incredicoaster train holds 24 guests and they are constantly off to help the family. I was a little dismayed when they said they were closing California Screamin' and retheming it as the Incredicoaster. I just rode it yesterday three times and let me tell you, it does not get old. It's fun with the themed story and characters throughout. The coaster is virtually the same but the experience is definitely different. Baby Jack-Jack has disappeared and it's up to the entire Incredibles family to get him back. The wild ride is enhanced with the nuanced storytelling. Everything about this ride is a blast! The anticipation you feel waiting in line watching the lucky patrons ahead of you launch off into the excitement of this coaster, its location on Pixar Pier, and the twists, turns, and sound effects make you feel like you stepped out of an amusement park and into the movie. This is easily the most "thrilling" ride in all of California Adventure. Don't get me wrong - they are all wonderful - but no other ride here takes you upside-down! The ride starts with you slowly pulling out onto a portion of the track that launches you into the rest of the ride. You hear Dash count down and then you are off. After that I couldn't really tell you all that happened because I was lost in the thrill, but I do know there were lots of heart-racing drops, one big upside down loop, a sequence of small hills, and lots of twists. Perhaps what I experienced my last visit here was out of the ordinary - so don't assume what I am about to say is the norm. I waited for no more than 30 minutes for any ride (IN THE MONTH OF JULY ON A WEEKEND). I was baffled by it actually. My sister and I waited for maybe 20 minutes for this ride. Although if our wait was like the other reviews (2ish hours), it still would have been worth it. If the line is ridiculous, I recommend snagging a fast pass and grabbing a bite to eat, watching a show, or hanging out at one of California Adventure's less popular attractions in the meantime! read more

California Screamin' was my favorite ride at Disney California Adventure, so I was kind of bummed when they shut it down to be re-themed. The first Incredibles movie wasn't among my favorite Disney movies, so I wasn't sure what to expect when it was announced that they would re-theme the ride to The Incredibles. However I liked Incredibles 2, so I was actually looking forward to riding this ride today. It was a much better ride with the improvements! The best ride at Disneyland California Adventure park in my humble opinion! It's been 8 years since I rode the original Mickey Mouse roller coaster, and the Incredicoaster is definitely an upgrade! We fast passed our way into the ride which left us with a less than two minute wait. If you don't mind riding separately, the single-rider option is also a great way to bypass the wait! Once we were snugly seated we took off like a bullet after an initial "The Incredibles" character countdown. Through the whole ride you get a "The Incredibles" themed adventure through music, story voice overs and fun twists and turns. It's not scary from the sense that you'll lose your lunch, but has a lot of speed which makes it thrilling. I don't like rides where you drop a ton, so this was perfection! Our older kids that rode with us were ages 12 and 14, and they absolutely loved the quick pace of the ride. Super fun and definitely worth riding! read more

Favorite ride in the whole Disneyland Resort this ride is amazing love the launch and the drops and loop is amazing once you ride it once you'll keep going over and over. Now the it has The Incredibles theme now has a story rather than just a coaster on a pier. The lines are pretty fast up to 25 minutes to 45 deepening on the day if you want to avoid long waits get a fast pass or wait in the single rider line. I recommend riding this at night it's awesome with all the lights adds to the experience. read more

This is one of the most fun roller coasters I've been on in a long time. I was really rurpised that I felt that way at a Disney ride, but it's true. This is not a ride for those uncomfortable with coasters as it's quite fast and does have a loop section. The mag-launch, the speed, the angles, the twists, and the rise and fall of it all was just so much fun. This was one of the two things we went back and did a second time in the same day. It was that great. I know this ride was updated and I never went on it before but this is great. The theme of the Incredibles is fun and it works well with the decor and areas they placed around the coaster. I think the camera is in a weird spot and think they could have moved it to get more fun photos than it took but that's a minor complaint. We used a FastPass both times and it went very quickly. I absolutely LOVE this rollercoaster. We always use the fastpass line and it is seriously the fastest fast pass line (in my opinion) almost as if walking right on to the coaster, maybe 5 minute wait total It is a great roller coaster, fully immersed in the Incredibles movie, I love that it starts out by the pier so the family can video tape your "take off" and the picture they take towards the end of the ride is always available for purchase. If you have the max pass, don't buy this picture take a picture of the code and you get it for free with the max pass. Just do me and everyone a favor, take a pic of your picture on the screen and put the code in your phone later. Its always crowded post ride, it'll help relieve the amount of people blocking open walkways. read more

It took me two trips to DL to work up the nerve to ride this even tho I had ridden California Screamin' before! And I am SO glad that I finally did! Single rider!! And got the front row!!! It is THE best ride at the park and is exhilarating and just a joy to ride. I was literally giggling to myself like a crazy person during the ride because it was so great!!
