I bought an expensive bike here recently and while riding it to my van after the purchase, I went to make a turn and wiped out in the parking lot... because they hadn't connected the handlebars to the frame My husband came over to help me. The Incycle employee who saw me fall didn't offer assistance as I was lying in the parking lot, just quietly tightened the handlebars and sent me on my way. Had road rash and bruise covering my entire lower leg and my hip still hurts weeks later. Kinda dampened my enthusiasm for this place. read more

Got a pretty good deal on my bike here at incycle. I've been riding it for the past 6 months very often and now it's time for some maintenance so I take it down for them to look at it and immediately I'm being rushed even though I showed up around 5 (they close at 6) also being told issues on the bike were normal and said "well we could look at it and take it apart but don't really need the extra work right now" I get you are busy but why say stuff like that? Also just didn't feel like I was being helped or respected as a customer that has spent well over 1k in that store. read more

I came here yesterday to check out a couple bikes I was interested in that weren't in any of the shops near my house in Dana Point. I had the good fortune of being helped by Holly, she was super helpful in letting me test ride one of the bikes I was interested in and clearly knew a ton about the bikes in the shop, pros and cons. She spent plenty of time going over the ins and outs of the bike I ended up buying (she had the same model herself, which helped, I'm sure). Only knock on the shop, and it's a small one, is their COVID process is good but could probably be better from an efficiency standpoint. They were good about limiting the customers in the shop, sanitizing your hands, etc but the way the customers are sort of "let loose" to wander once inside was a bit strange to me compared to my local bike shop. Down here, they let customers in slowly the same way, but they're partnered with a shop employee as soon as they get in so they can find what they need and get out quickly. I wasn't bothered because I wasn't in a rush but I did notice that employees were kind of scrambling to go from one task/customer to the next where at the shop down here (Rock N Rock Cyclery) they stay w/ you. read more

Full transparency I am a complete amateur when in comes to bicycles. Walking into this beautiful store can be overwhelming because they have so many incredible options and most of the patrons look very experienced however, I was immediately greeted outside by their staff and the door was opened for me as I entered with my daughters. The gentleman who helped us made the experience easy, educational and seamless. Went to Incycle/San Dimas today. The two "sales" people I talked to lacked enthusiasm for their products. Nothing worse then made to feel like they were doing me a favor. Looking for two bikes...but not from Incycle. I recently visited another competitor earlier this week. I won't say who it was just to add that it sounds like "JACKS". Salesperson was attentive and knowledgeable. Two completely different experiences. read more

Update: After getting our bikes back and riding them up and down our street we noticed a rattling coming from the rear tire and a creaking from the tire on my wife's bike. The spokes on my bike were loose. The derailleur bracket on my wife's bike was bent causing the derailleur to rub against the spokes....like what did these people do for 140 bucks.....NOTHING! look up The Local Bikestand. Mobile service that is awesome. The tech not only fixed our bikes bit also fixed what should have been caught by Incycle. Reasonably priced and way better attention detail than the techs at Incycle. Hard to find a bike during Covid but found what I wanted here - Ordered/paid over the phone. Drove all the way from Venice up to pick up 2 days later, but on arrival found out the store didn't open for another 1:30h. I was time crunched so I called in and spoke to Kurt. I very rarely post a review but this time I am compelled to. I had a problem with my Cervelo R5. I'm pretty good at taking care of problems but for some reason I couldn't get the DI2 adjustment right. I took it to Incycle where the person, I believe it was Andrew, took it and in 5 minutes gave it back and told me to try it in the parking lot. He fixed it perfectly. Clicking noise all gone and only charged me $15.00. Since the service was so good I purchased a new bike seat. Tried it and it just hurt. Anyone that rides a road bike knows what I am talking about. They happily exchanged it for another one and that one was even worse. I brought it back and I believe it was Andrew again who asked me a few questions and recommended a different seat. They happily exchanged it and I love this new seat. I've been in other times before for items because I restored my old Raleigh Techneium and every time they always had what I needed and gave me the correct parts. All the people are extremely helpful and courteous even with the ongoing virus problem. Sometimes the line can be long to get in but they always do their best to stay open and I appreciate that. I am in a market for a bike but because I have many groups of friends who rides different terrains, I would need something that can tackle both road and some light fire roads/terrains. Before I visited this shop, I've gone to may be 5-6 different local bike shops and most of them are pretty much empty as in nothing to really sell. When I walked into Incycle in San Dimas, the experience was amazing. They got like thousands of bikes for me to drool over. I felt like my wish to the perfect bike shop has come true. I walked around for about 10 minutes until someone finally greeted me. Thank you to Jeremy, who was patient and very knowledgeable about every bikes that sits in and out of the store. He was able to help me fit on a correct size bike while I argued that he was definitely wrong, then he let me test drive some of the bikes, he couldn't have been more correct. He also helped me narrow down some of the choices to make it easier on my decision. While the bike prices were high and a bit out of my price range, Jeremy was enthusiast to help me the entire time I was there. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a bike and thank you again Jeremy for a such great customer service. I wish I can purchase that perfect bike to myself one day. read more

I've had somewhat mixed experiences with InCycle in general over the past fifteen years, but anytime San Dimas has a part in stock we drive from Pasadena instead of waiting until the next day for the part to be shipped to the Pasadena store. Pasadena store is where my lesser experiences have been but San Dimas is good. More BMX stuff at this location than the others! However, one time I came here with a friend who ordered a Fox fork and unfortunately the fork appeared to have been returned or a take off from a newish used bike. The website didn't stipulate anything like this and he ended up not buying. Long drive for such disappointment! read more

I was looking into buying some mountain bike shoes, and I thought about buying them online. I realized if I buy them online there's a chance I will get the wrong fit or the wrong shoe for the type of riding I needed to do. I decided to go to incycles bicycles in San Dimas, and try on the shoes instead. Brandon, the salesmen showed me a variety shoes, that work within my budget. I like the fact he was knowledgeable on the different types of shoes, and he was able to find the perfect type of shoe, which also worked with my budget. I wanted to tell him thank you. I know there's advantages on buying online, but you can't beat customer services by going into a store, and getting a personal touch. I think I paid a little more than online, but I'm ok with that because the customer service was phenomenal. If retail stores are to compete with online stores, they need to realize that their employees or salesmen are the assets to their store. If the salesmen or saleswoman give 110% customer service that store will flourish with business. So make sure that the employee are rewarded well for their good work. Thank you. read more

I visited this place again a few months back because I was looking for a cruiser and theres not too many choices of stores to shop from. They had a black Townie on display and it was priced as brand new. Taking a closer look, I noticed scratches and rust on areas with chipped paint and the dirty tires. I bought a mountain E-Bike here! Cannondale Cujo Neo and I'm completely happy with it! This bike climbs all hills and the battery stays charged forever! I did the GMR trail loop 3 times and still had plenty of charge left and kept riding. I met other mountain bikers that day and they all were interested in my bike, I let them ride it and they all said "I'm buying one" I told them to hit up Patrick at Incycle! I've had plenty of hobbies over the years,BMX, art, golf, junk collecting (vintage adverting signs, tin) now this is it for me mountain biking! my favorite part is actually climbing hills, it's awesome! Great customer service! Brought my Caad 9 in 3 months ago for a replacement front chain derailer. It was an obsolete part and the had the adapter and new derailer in stock. Three months later I needed a minor adjustment and they not only made the adjustments on the spot, but tightened my rear chain cassette and capped my shifter cables at no charge. Whenever you get a new bike, you need the bike fitted to your specific size, cycle stroke, posture, etc. I have been to a different bike shop for a bike fitting before, I paid $100 and it was ok but not great. At this other bike shop they just used tools to calculate angles of my posture, knees, etc. This time with my new bike I wanted a more effective bike fitting so I found the "Retul" bike fitting service at Incycle. It costs $300 but worth every penny. Their specialist there, Abe, is very friendly and has more knowledge about bike fitting, angles, posture, and just general bike knowledge then probably anyone I've met. He puts sensors all over you and then has you ride. This device records you riding in real time and displays your motion on a screen. The computer spits out these calculations of where to make adjustments, etc, then Abe applies those adjustments and sees how comfortable you fee. I can say that by the time I was done, it felt like I had a new bike. Thanks again for an incredible service! read more

I was immediately greeted by an Incycle employee as I rolled my Townie bike through the front door and he directed me to the repair shop in the back. I was ready to leave my bike with a flat tire, but the repairman cheerfully informed me that he could swap out both tubes now. I opted for the heartier tubes. I mentioned to him that my bike seat keeps going down, so he addressed that issue. I asked him to point me to a salesman to show me to a lock and cable for my bike. Instead he showed me bike locks, did the register and he showed me how to hook everything up on my truck. NOW THAT'S SERVICE! read more
