    Mango sticky rice

Inda + Mely is a really fun modern take on Filipino cuisine, and I appreciate what they're doing with the menu. It feels like a thoughtful way to introduce Filipino flavors to a broader audience while still keeping the heart of the dishes recognizable. We came around 5 PM on a Friday and were surprisingly the only ones there for the entire hour we stayed, which made for a quiet, relaxed dinner. The space itself is very cute and cozy, with a warm atmosphere that feels inviting for a casual date night or dinner with friends. Parking is something to keep in mind. They have a very small lot on the side of the building with maybe 4 spots total, so I can imagine parking could be tricky during busier hours if those fill up. I was genuinely excited by the menu because there were so many creative options that sounded amazing. We ordered the kilaw lamang dagat, garlic butter sugpo, bistek tagalog, sisig carbonara, and mango sticky rice. Kilaw lamang dagat - Think Filipino-style ceviche. This was one of my favorites of the night. The seafood tasted fresh, and the coconut milk and lemongrass really came through beautifully without overpowering the dish. Super refreshing and well balanced. Garlic butter sugpo - Came with 5 large prawns that were cooked really well, tender and not overdone at all. The garlic butter sauce was rich and flavorful, though it leaned a bit saltier than I personally prefer. Still a solid dish. Bistek tagalog - Easily our favorite of everything we ordered. The beef was cooked beautifully, tender and flavorful, and the sauce was rich and satisfying. It came with fries, which honestly deserve their own mention because they were insanely crispy. We kept talking about how good the fries were long after dinner. Sisig carbonara - I know this seems to be one of their more popular dishes, but this one just wasn't for me. The portion is huge, so definitely shareable, but personally I didn't think the creamy pasta paired that well with the sisig flavors. Not a bad dish, just not something I'd order again. Mango sticky rice - A nice way to end the meal. Classic and comforting, though they add chocolate syrup on top, which made it sweeter than I expected. If you have a strong sweet tooth, you'll probably love it. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and love seeing Filipino food presented in a fresh, modern way. Not every dish was a hit for me, but the creativity, atmosphere, and standout dishes definitely make this worth trying.

The food was good, but minus one star due to limited options for people seeking a diet low in saturated fats. The menu descriptions don't show the cooking methods. So if you are not familiar with Filipino food, you can unknowingly order foods that are deep fried or sopping with oil. Although they do have photographs, it's hard to tell the cooking method from the pictures. For example, they have an Okoy Salad listed as "shrimp + green papaya + rice powder". This is their only salad listing. We ordered it and were surprised to find that it was shrimp with deep fried items on a bed of greens. Another example was the Chili Garlic Chicken, listed as "annatto + peanuts + Chili + Aromatics". It was chicken that was breaded and appeared to be wok fried. Aside from the unhealthiness of the oil, the food was good. The Bistek Tagalog is slices of ribeye, served with French fries. Also good was the garlic fried rice, which comes in a very large bowl which easily serves four people. We visited on a Sunday around 7:30pm and were seated quickly. The servers were very friendly. The restaurant has their own parking lot.

Sinagang with bone marrow. Garlic rice. Sisig.

The food was fantastic! Had a flavor twist with the sisig & sinagang. The sinagang came with a bone marrow & it was great! The garlic rice was delicious as well & we end it with Turon Baklava with ice cream. Very flavorful & tasty with the banana chips, biscoff bits & pistachio. Definitely would come back here again. Service was fast but that's because we went on a Friday lunch so there wasn't much people but it was nice. The interior designs are very instagramable. I like the bamboo chairs & wall arts.

Inda + Mely serves a contemporary, creative take on Filipino cuisine in a small, modernly-decorated restaurant space in San Bruno. For someone less familiar with Filipino food, much of the menu is almost unrecognizable, but the friendly staff was helpful with recommendations. To start, the Okoy Salad was a bed of greens topped with a crispy "bird's nest" fritter made of shredded papaya/carrots and a whole shrimp, fried in a rice powder batter, served with a vinegar dressing on the side. One of my favorite dishes was the Cebuchon Sinigang. Sinigang is typically a sour meat and vegetable soup, but Inda + Mely's "deconstructed" version came with crispy cebuchon pork belly served with sautéed vegetables (green beans, eggplant, okra, tomatoes, potatoes) and an acidic mango tamarind sauce. The best part of this dish was the chunks of pork belly, which had a nice balance of lean meat, fat, and crispy skin. Continuing on, the Laing was taro greens stewed with coconut milk and dried fish, topped with slices of pork shoulder; and the Sisig Carbonara was spaghetti in a heavy cream sauce, topped with crispy bits of chicharron and lechon (pork skin and belly). Both of these dishes were rather heavy but extremely flavorful. Finally, another highlight dish was the Kare-Kare, a stew of super tender oxtail, brisket, and tripe in a curry-like spiced peanut sauce, served with green beans, eggplant, and Shanghai bok choy. The best part was the unctuous, mildly spiced peanut sauce, which went perfectly with a side of beautifully yellow-tinged Garlic Fried Rice. Overall, the food here was delicious, creative, and beautifully-presented in a clean, modern setting with friendly service.

We needed a hearty meal after picking up folks at SFO. This was near the airport and very convenient. There's a parking lot next to the restaurant with room for about 6 cars. Very friendly and attentive staff. The owner Raquel was there to assist us and she was friendly. We asked about the history of the restaurant, as the walls have photos of the family history. Food is very tasty, my favorite is the laing. The lechon with the pinakbet is really tasty. We were also pleasantly surprised with the Turon Baklava. If we're in the area, will definitely return.

We were hugely disappointed with our Sunday lunch experience here. The interior of the resto is warm and clean, the lady server was friendly however it's the food quality that sadly let us down. We ordered Kare-Kare ($37): bland and tasteless, helped slightly with a dash of shrimp paste (bagoong). The single piece of oxtail was tough as was the green bean topping. The sauce is FAR from the great kare-kare we've grown to love. The other big disappointment is the Pakbet con Lechon ($24). Both its pumpkin and okra were tough/hard to eat. The skin of the liempo was crispy at best but we really couldn't enjoy the meal with the sorry state of the veggies. Their longanisa spring roll ($20) has a crispy rice paper texture but the longanisa was a bit undercooked. Great tasting sauce though! The owner was focused solely on entertaining 1 table only and didn't bother checking/ touching base with the rest of the customers (4 out of 12 tables were occupied) There's a lot of better-tasting Filipino restaurants in the area that I'll return to. Some have faster service than the others. Not sure if this is a one-time off-day here but this first dining experience here will be our last.

The food is very good and creative. It is delicious and the portions are generous. The ingredients are well sourced and very fresh. The service is excellent. Its like visiting a Titas house in the Philippines. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I'm so happy we met her . She told us the story of their restaurant and it was very interesting and entertaining. The place is nicely decorated and organized. The restroom is very clean and nice smelling. . I recommend visiting them and experiencing their hospitality. .,

WE had such a great experience at Inda & Mely. The food was honestly delicious, with a really unique Asian fusion twist that made everything feel a little different (in a good way). Every dish we tried had so much flavor and creativity behind it. The place itself is beautifully decorated--warm, inviting, and just a really nice space to relax and enjoy a meal. You can tell a lot of thought went into the ambiance. We were also pleasantly surprised with complimentary desserts and spring rolls, which were both so good and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with great food, a welcoming vibe, and thoughtful touches that made it even more special. Service was great too! Definitely worth checking out!

    Beef Kaldereta

First and foremost, the Cebuchon Sinigang is truly out of the norm--an original, never-before-seen dish that brilliantly blends Cebuchon with traditional Sinigang. Instead of the usual broth, it features a tangy, slightly sweet, tomato-based purée. It looked amazing and tasted even better. The flavors worked exceptionally well and were a very pleasant surprise. If recipes could be patented, this one definitely should be. The Beef Kaldereta was also excellent. It stayed close to the traditional version but was elevated by the addition of a Bleu potato purée at the bottom, which made the dish stand out. We originally ordered the Seafood Kaldereta but received the Beef instead. While that was a small service hiccup, we accepted it--and ended up really enjoying the dish--so it became an acceptable mistake. The restaurant itself had great décor and thoughtful table arrangements that elevated the overall experience. While the building looked older, it didn't feel run-down at all; everything was clean and appeared newly renovated. Parking can be a bit challenging due to the small lot, so street parking may be necessary. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be coming back.

Arrived early on a Saturday dinner and had a great meal. Service was attentive, owner was very friendly, and the food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes when we are in the area.

Came here on a Wednesday evening g~6:30p and were seated right away. This is a small family business and it's decorated very cute with lots of green. The ladies were all so friendly, patiently answering my questions about their cuisine and dishes. I don't eat a lot of Filipino food, so this is all new and exciting for me. We ordered the garlic rice, cebuchon sinigang, and kare kare -- all of which were really yummy. The pork with the mango sinigang sauce was so tender and the beef kare kare was great too. The ladies checked in on us and shared the family history behind the dishes. You could tell they really cared and wanted you to feel their sense of home. All of this for 75 (pre tip) and enough for two for the next day! Great sizes.

4.5 STARS Ok, San Bruno.... I see you! The City has Abacá. The Town has FOB Kitchen. Lafayette has Tropa (on my list to try). Even Wine Country has Carabao. And, now there's Inda + Mely. The northern peninsula has some of the best Filipino food so it's about time there's a Modern Filipino Resto. (Although Avenida in San Mateo advertises as Modern Filipino, IMO I don't think they are). Opening in early October 2025, Inda + Mely (owners' names) took over Tastebuds (lechon). Open for lunch and dinner on the weekdays + breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekends. Rezzies accepted (via phone). M E N U Elevated, modern Filipino cuisine. Creative dishes like okoy (fritter) salad, chicken adobo pâté, sisig carbonara, sizzling bulalo (beef bone marrow), turon baklava, and much more. Liquor license pending? F O O D * Open Face Lumpia w/ ground pork, mixed veggies, fried pastry ($24): https://tinyurl.com/3dfbpjpn I thought this would be deconstructed lumpia with the fried wrapper as a vessel. However, this is a hybrid of fresh lumpia (soft crêpe-like wrapper) with a ground pork and veggie filling, layered with a crispy lumpia wrapper. Garnished with mixed greens, tomato, and cucumbers. Nice textures but hella salty and messy to eat. Least fav item and quite pricey. * Sugpo con Mayonesa w/ house mayo, crab fat, chili (5 pc-$23.98): https://tinyurl.com/56wc4kf2 Giant, tender prawns coated in a deliciously rich, umami crab fat sauce (not spicy). Don't forget to suck 'em heads. * Cebuchon Sinigang: Cebuchon Belly Roll w/ sautéed veggies, mango tamarind ($25): https://tinyurl.com/3dakxzcy Great plating! Not your Lola's soupy sinigang, this modern rendition showcases "cebu-style" lechon (more like lechon kawali), satisfyingly crunchy, and tender pork belly alongside a very mild tamarind sauce. Served with tender eggplant, kamote (?), green beans, radish, and tomatoes. IMO, the sour flavor needs to be dialed up several notches to achieve the flavor of sinigang (tamarind soup). * Lengua Sisig w/ ox tongue, special sauce, chicharrón ($30): https://tinyurl.com/ck6maenw Modern take on a beloved classic, diced lengua, meltingly tender with crispy edges coated in a creamy sauce. The crushed chicharrón topping provided a great crunchy contrast. Rich, beefy deliciousness. Very steep pricing for the small portion tho. * Garlic Rice ($9.98) Savory with a mild garlic flavor. S E R V I C E Incredibly warm, welcoming Pinoy hospitality. Not busy at the time so prompt food service. A M B I A N C E Classy dining room with modern touches. Love their "Kumain ka na ba?" (Have you eaten yet?) IG sign....it's the Filipino way of asking, "How are you?". There's about 12 tables. P A R K I N G Limited parking in their lot with 7-8 spaces. Very hard street parking. Overall, Inda + Mely is serving delicious and unique Modern Filipino dishes. I found their pricing ambitious for the area but nonetheless, a welcoming addition to San Bruno. With their creative and innovative twists to Filipino classics that can't be found anywhere in the bay, I think they'll be a destination for the Fil-Am community.

One of the biggest draws is their whole Maine lobster platter, which is surprisingly affordable at around $20. More importantly, the lobsters are freshly steamed and incredibly fresh. They even have a live lobster market inside the restaurant, and if you prefer to cook at home, you can purchase fresh raw lobsters from the market for an even better value. I'm also a big fan of their fresh-shucked oysters. I paid around $4-$5 per oyster during my visit, which was well worth it for the quality. However, if you come during happy hour, they're only $1 each, making it one of the best oyster deals you'll find in the Bay Area. The crab chowder was flavorful and satisfying, while the lobster mac and cheese was loaded with generous chunks of lobster meat. Even if lobster isn't your thing, the menu offers plenty of other seafood options to choose from. There is ample seating, but parking can be challenging. The restaurant is located in a business district where many spaces are reserved, so arriving early is highly recommended. During peak hours, it's common to see a line wrapped around the block just to place an order. The service was excellent as well. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. One thing to keep in mind: this is a fresh steamed seafood spot, not a Southern-style seafood boil. Don't expect heavy seasoning or bold spice blends. Their approach is all about preserving the natural flavor and integrity of the seafood. When the seafood is this fresh, it really doesn't need much else.

GK may not be as fast as Panda Express but they were fast in putting my order through. Ordered, and nicely packed: SHRIMP & SCRAMBLED EGGS OVER RICE - Soft scramble eggs had nice sized shrimp, over fluffy, hot rice. Garnished w/a light sprinkling of green onions Delightfully tasty. Think the eggs were a tad diluted because of maybe chicken broth? Still tasty though. HOUSE SPECIAL HAINAN CHICKEN OVER RICE. The flavor and texture of the bone-in Hainan Chicken were good, peanuts were a bit salty. The dab of housemade ginger-onion condiment was definitely inadequate since this adds to the overall taste of the Hainan Chicken plate. The accompanying rice while supposedly steamed w/the broth that the chicken was poached in, was strangely dry. Maybe it was an off day since this is their specialty. Next time. ONG CHOI (WATER SPINACH) w/GARLIC. Simple sautéed greens dish with garlic. Never fails. GARDEN KITCHEN'S menu looks enticing enough for a return visit when I'm in the neighborhood to try NOODLES, both soup and dry-fried, especially TOMATO BEEF PAN FRIED NOODLES, or SALTED FISH & CHICKEN FRIED RICE, SALTY EGG YOLK KABOCHA. Or rice plates like BRAISED PORK KNUCKLE, HOUSEMADE ROAST DUCK, BRAISED BRISKET & TURNIP. And congees, PRESERVED EGG & PORK, ASSORTED PORK OFFAL, MINCED BEEF, and PORK LIVER. P.S. My order from walk-in, order and receiving order in hand - less than 10 minutes!

We ordered the $75 seafood bowl and it even came with a free seafood pasta, which was a nice bonus. The seafood boil itself was really good, flavorful, and packed with seafood. Only thing was the Ultimate sauce was definitely spicier than expected even though I asked for mild. Still tasty, just had more kick than anticipated. The free seafood pasta was okay, but the pasta was a little overcooked and could've used way more garlic flavor. Maybe it was rushed because they got the order out so quickly. Overall though, solid spot for seafood boils, fast service, fresh food, and good portions. I'd come back again.

I came here with some friends two days ago. We ordered two crabs (salted egg yolk & peppercorn…read moreflavors), df chicken wings, garlic noodles, pepper steak cubes, and stir fry pea sprouts. Everything came out piping hot. The crabs were fresh, chicken wings were not overly battered, noodles were al dente, and pea sprouts were in season. Whenever I have crab, my favorite sauce/seasoning is the salted egg yolk. Just a hint of saltiness but packed full of umami flavors. After tasting the peppercorn flavor, I found myself loving it too! All the ingredients (peppercorn, tons of garlic "garlicky heaven", and butter) blended well together like one big happy family. This is my new favorite seasoning, a slight edge above the salted egg yolk, as it doesn't taste as greasy. I wish we had taken photos but I was very hungry. This place also has a full bar with 3 good size tv's, which is nice when you want to watch the nba finals too. I thought check-in was on the left as this was the waiting area, and there was a small 'reception' counter which I found confusing. Soooo just a note, be sure to check-in on the right side. We left a little past closing time (9pm) and they didn't rush us. Oh and we were given ice cream cones for dessert. Yuuummm!!! Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Come hungry and leave happy.

We brought my mom here for her birthday dinner and the team did not disappoint! First off we we walked in, party of 6, without reservations. The dining room was bright, 3/4 filled with patrons. We were warmly greeted then promptly seated. Shortly after our server approached us, asked if we had questions, then took our order. Short time after our food started coming out which we all feasted on. We were all completely satisfied, bellys full from everything we ate. The ervice was awesome, kuddos to the team for being so attentive. We'll definitely be visiting and enjoying again at PPQ Millbrae soon!

The fried bread was bland, the meat had little to no flavor, and there was far too much lettuce. The beef and broccoli was dry and also lacked flavor. The fried rice was the worst dish we tried, even after asking for soy sauce (and only receiving three packets), it didn't improve. There were a few highlights: the dumplings were good, and the egg rolls were just okay, though they had an odd flavor I couldn't quite identify. It was some kind of spice or herb. The General Tso's chicken and garlic orange chicken were both solid, and the chow mein was decent. Ordering was frustrating. Several items we wanted--the pineapple beef, shaking beef, and Kung Pao chicken--were all unavailable. We also tried to order a pineapple soju, but they didn't have it, so we settled for peach instead. The decor was nice, but the dining experience felt lacking. Food was served in to-go containers with paper plates, cups, and plastic cutlery, which took away from the experience. There was also a language barrier with our waiter, which made communication difficult--especially when asking questions about the menu or trying to place our order since the QR code system wasn't working. OVERALL, not an experience we would repeat.

I found this gem of a spot looking for steakhouses, while staying in the area for work about a mile away. It had good reviews/menu/prices so I pulled up. Jason, the bartender, was welcoming. He got me started with a cadillacccccc, while I waited for my food to go. I ordered the 22oz bone-in ribeye, sautéed spinach, garlic mash.. MAGICALLY DELICIOUS! The ribeye was med rare, cooked to perfection! No steak sauce needed but I LOVE A1, so it just took it to higher heights of goodness. The sautéed spinach was SO good, I was impressed. It was garlicky & perfectly sautéed. The garlic mash was on point! No additional seasonings needed for either. Great food at great prices is a WIN! Sixteen Mile House = Winner!

A dark, uninviting dining area that could use a deep clean. Two TVs blaring different shows over a soundtrack from a waiting room in 2005. The food was the worst part. It's really too bad because the workers are so nice. We left a big tip but felt very ripped off by the whole experience.
