    Spicy oil dumplings
    Erica W K.

Yuanbao Jiaozi was on New York Times list so I tried it out in the SF location. I found out that they have a location in the Millbrae / Burlingame area so I gave it a try! The new place is super spacious and big. We went for lunch on the weekend and got seated pretty much immediately. Compared to the SF location, this location has a lot of tables. We got the pan fried dumplings and the chili oil dumplings. The chili oil dumplings were pork and cabbage. The pan fried ones were chicken and corn. We liked the pork and cabbage for the filling but like the pan fried for the wrapping. You can't go wrong with the pork and cabbage, I highly recommend getting it as a filling. They also selling frozen dumplings in a freezer as you walk into the restaurant. It's on the left side of the entrance! Highly recommend grabbing some frozen dumplings from them as well.

The Burlingame location is much bigger and spacious than the SF location. This location also offers a wider selection of options in their menu. Yuanbao Jiaozi has to be one of the top jiao zi places on the list in the Pennisula. Our usual order Beef Tendon Noodles, Lotus Salad and two types of jiao zi. Everything is made in house. Service is quick and food comes out hot.

Lots of seats inside. Service was quick and the servers were attentive. You order via a QR code on the table Food is solid. Spare rib noodle soup broth had a good rich taste. Potstickers were pan fried nice and crispy and had ample filling. I do wish the meat inside was saltier/more flavorful, but one could argue it's good as is since it tastes lighter and cleaner, all based on personal preference. Soup dumplings were delicious as well Pricing as of 4/3/26: spare rib noodle soup was $15.99. 12 potstickers was $15.99. 6 soup dumplings were 12.99. Nothing out of the ordinary for cuisine like this. Pretty standard pricing I'd say Overall, I'd rate this place a 7/10. Everything is pretty standard and good. I have no complaints. Definitely would come back again

Great Chinese food in Burlingame! Service was fast and the vibe of the restaurant is friendly and approachable. Welcoming! Got a crisp Diet Coke- which went nicely with the beef xiao long bao & mushroom and chicken dumplings. The beef xiao long bao was my favorite. The bao was spongy and the soup was savory, the beef was tender and warm. Overall a good experience- also a good price point.

3.5 stars for Yuanbao Jiaozi in Burlingame. This was our first time at this restaurant. We grabbed a quick meal on our way to SFO. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and quickly filled up. It was large, clean, and modern looking. We got 3 orders of classic XLB, a beef noodle soup, iced peach green tea, pork, shrimp, & chive dumplings, cucumber salad, and chrysanthemum puer tea. Everything was good but nothing was outstanding. We were disappointed there were no green leafy vegetable options. Again, nothing wrong. If we lived nearby, I'm sure we'd visit again, but for this one time visit, a good meal.

    Special mix salad (less spicy)

I was looking for an Asian restaurant for a light early dinner on Saturday, and found Yuanbao Jiaozi. My fellow Yelpers didn't disappoint. This place met everything I was looking for: plenty of parking (inside Burlingame Plaza), near SFO, efficient service, and high ratings. When my daughter and I arrived a little before 5:30pm, they were already pretty full. By the time we left, a little after 6pm, there're people waiting at the door. We got seated right away. Service was minimal. We helped ourselves to the pitcher of water on the table. After looking at the menu on the table, we placed our order by scanning a QR code. Since we're not too hungry. We ordered one appetizer and one noodle dish to share. The special mix salad came pretty quickly. We ordered "less spicy", and it had the perfect amount of heat. All the ingredients tasted fresh and the dish had a bit of everything we wanted to try. I liked the tofu skin the best, and my daughter loved the crunchy cucumber. It would be even better if they included lotus roots as well. It took a little while for the house special beef noodle soup (less spicy) to arrive, but it was totally worth the wait. It came piping hot. The broth was very flavorful, with the right amount of red pepper. It wasn't oily at all. The beef was super tender. I loved the texture of the noodles, and the beef to noodle ratio was not bad. A really solid dish. Would love to come back again to try their other dishes, especially their xiao long bao.

Was looking for a place for dinner after picking the wife up at SFO after a long flight. Also wanted to let rush hour traffic die down. Succeeded on both counts here. It's conveniently located not too far off highway 101 immediately south of the airport. We came in just before 6 on a Monday and there were only a couple tables occupied. They have the scan a QR on the table to do your ordering so I started with that but the waiter came by before I could get through all of that on my phone and said he could just take our order, which was much easier. We got the Dan Dan noodles and an order of Chicken and Mushroom dumplings in soup. Both were excellent. The Dan Dan was nicely spiced with good flavor and not too numbing or bitter, which I have experienced with Dan Dan at other places. Place was clean and bright and very comfortable. Would go again if near the airport needing a meal spot.

This beef noodle soup is always a solid choice. The noodles are fresh, the broth is super tasty, and the portions are huge--definitely big enough to share. It's especially good on colder days and really hits the spot every time. The place is roomy, located in a plaza, and parking is easy, which makes it super convenient. We come back a lot, and my son loves it too. He always gets the pork, shrimp, and chive pan-fried dumplings and finishes them without fail. Highly recommend this place.

We always have a very satisfying meal here. Tonight we wanted to have something new, so we tried the lotus root salad. It was refreshing and had great texture with a tart sesame dressing. We also had the spicy pork and cabbage dumplings, xiao loong bao, and beef noodles. Every dish was very good. Service was nice. We spoke to one of the owners and expressed our appreciation for the consistent quality and fair pricing. It's also a pleasant, clean restaurant with easy parking. We recommend!

Good handmade dumplings! You can see the aunties making them by hand through the glass in the kitchen. The dan dan noodles were quite good as well. Service is pretty hands-off as you order via the online menu. Food came quickly. You can also buy them frozen in the front as well. We got one of the dumplings in chili oil, which was just okay since their chili oil isn't mind-blowing. In retrospect, just get the dumplings plain (or pan-fried, but we haven't tried that yet). The classic pork was good. Don't get the corn. Next time, we must try their special fish one. Overall, solid meal and very homey-feeling. If you're craving the QQ of handmade dumplings, give them a go. Very no frills restaurant.

Super clean, bright and spacious restaurant seating. Plenty of shopping mall parking outside. Service staff helpful and attentive no problems here. Dan Dan noodles great texture plenty of meat topping and nicely gentle numbing sauce with great flavor Dumplings freshly made visible from their show kitchen. 14 dumplings per serving make them easily shareable family style. Order several types so you can taste various flavors and ingredients. SLB were ok but not the best I've had. Not overly large, not as much soup or burn your tongue hot like other restaurants. Tasty enough though Generally speaking none of the food was "piping hot" but was good flavor and texture We had their veggie salad and beef and tripe tendon? Appetizers. These were a bit pricey for what they were. Smallish plate. Sliced veggies tossed in vinaigrette sauce while tasty didn't warrant the price. Sliced beef and tendon in numbing pepper sauce which was really good for dipping the dumplings into.

Walked in at 6:30pm on a weekday and was seated immediately! It was pretty busy but we got the last table and did not have to wait. Vibes are hustling and bustling. Server took our order within few minutes of us sitting down. Food came out within 15 minutes. Food was delicious! Everything you'd expect!! No complaints, would come again!

It was quiet on a Monday afternoon so my mom and I were seated promptly. You scan the QR code at the table to order and I appreciate them having photos available. We opted for their beef noodle soup, xiao long bao, cucumber salad, pig ears, and pork dumplings in chili oil sauce. The food came out promptly and looked good. Honestly, most of it tasted good except for the chili oil dumplings - those lacked flavor in my opinion. Overall, it's a decent place to stop by if you're near and craving Chinese food. They're also located in a plaza so there's a ton of parking available and free.

    Are there any gluten-free options?

Sorry we do not have gluten free, most of our food is made with flour.

    What are vegetarian options?

Is this YuanBao Jiaozi related to the restaurant with the same name in SF? They have different websites but it's confusing that the names are exactly the same, down to the YuanBao words spelled together.

What I was not expecting was so much white onion (the scallions were fine) and I put most of it aside on the plate. But that did not take away my enjoyment of the dish.
