We've been here a few times now and every time it's so good! We especially love their happy hour, which is bar seats only! My husband and I always enjoy a glass of wine and get their plain marg pizza. My husband loves their Caesar salad, and we both love love their charcuterie boards, always loaded with lots of meats and cheese. Both were very good but you only get 8 pieces in each entree for $26. The paltry portions left me hungry which is not a good feeling after dining out. This is some of the most inventive and delicious food I've eaten in a long time! The tagliatelle was out of this world (the perfectly cooked egg yolk on top sealed the deal), and the bucatini nero and pork chops were delicious. Starting 2023 off with a strong review for Indaco. First time there though people keep telling me "you need to try Indaco". Now I can say I have and I will again for sure. The setup of the room is terrific with bar seating, open kitchen seating, high tops and traditional tables. The decor / ambiance is excellent, whether you are there for date night or a group meal. Servers are attentive and knowledgeable without being pushy and they are super responsive. As an example, one of our dishes came out room temp and if them we just asked for a reheat, we were treated to a full order. The focaccia with whipped ricotta is a huge winner. Massive hunk of focaccia with a fantastic crunch and just slightly burnt on the outside but so soft and moist on the inside. The agnolotti was filled with great flavors and was enough for two people to share. The market was a snapper that was prepped perfectly and surrounded by a great bed of saffron, cannellini bean, bok choy, basil, rosemary, Prosciutto brodo. The charred cabbage was an excellent side! The food is to die for, but I haven't even discussed the best part of my night-our bartender Cal. He was constantly riffing and explaining how he crafted such a creative concoction, whenever his hands weren't busy working, of course. Took an Uber to the restaurant. It had a very nice ambiance. Ordered the donuts over cannoli cream, and it was soooooo good! Definitely recommend, may want to order it as a dessert very sweet but very good. For brunch we ordered the steak and eggs and the omelette. The steak was very tender and good. The omelette was cheesy and very delicious. The crispy fingerling potatoes are Very CRISPY just fyi probably a little too crispy but still good. A lot of reviews said to make reservations because this place is amazing. We made reservations for 10am when they opened for brunch and had the whole place to ourselves. People were rolling in by 11am though! The place is gorgeous with an open kitchen. Our server, Matt was fantastic and spent a lot of time chatting with us about the area and the food. They make a lot in house and put so much into each layer of food. Matt ordered us the Italian donuts on him as an anniversary gift and they were AMAZING. I went here with a group of 10 last night and had the best time. I loved the atmosphere and appreciated the server's care regarding my allergy. I ordered the Roasted Half Chicken and it was the best chicken I've ever had (!) - it fell off the bone. Paired with delicious orzo, roasted yellow tomato, and Brussel sprouts, the meal was fantastic. The dish usually comes with broccoli rabe but I'm so glad I subbed the roasted sprouts because they were perfect with the dish. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Great choice to consider for Italian food! We called to make a reservation and they could only accommodate us at a counter near the kitchen, which provided us with much entertainment while enjoying appetizers and a couple pizzas. There were approximately 6 chefs working the various aspects of the kitchen orchestrated by Chef Mark who monitored all orders coming in and going out with a keen eye toward the fine details, including wiping dinner plates before letting them be served. The staff all contributed in filling waters, picking up empty plates and checking in to make sure everything was up to our expectations. Unfortunately, the meal left something to be desired and we were incredibly underwhelmed by our dishes. The burrata starter was... ok. The sweet potato was an odd addition, but it was decent enough. We had the sausage Ragu and margherita pizza. Both were... ok. The ragu actually had an unpleasant over-salted flavor, making it hard to finish. Everything else was fine, but for a city filled with outstanding dining, this just felt like an average Italian restaurant with a cool atmosphere. The drinks are top notch, and the service is great. It's Father's Day which meant guys choice and they wanted Italian so reservations at Indaco it was. It had been some time since I'd been, so I was excited to join Breanne and the family. We meet our server Dani who was amazing. I really enjoy when a server introduces themselves so you can use their name making the experience more enjoyable. We ordered drinks and I had my mind set on their Gin selection. It was called Gin & Malicious Intent! It had great flavor and wasn't too sweet even with pineapple juice included. I looked at the menu before arriving so I also had my mind set on what I was going to order and share! And boy did we order and share a lot! For starters we got the focaccia, fried artichokes, charred octopus, Caesar, and polpette aka meatballs. Every single Antipasti was delicious!!! Hands down all of the best bites of the night and I would return and order just from this section of the menu and be totally satisfied. Moving onto entrees I went with the Bucatini Verde. Wanted to order Black pepper tagliatelle but two others did so I knew I'd get to try a bite. There was also a couple pizzas ordered and the pork chop special. Unfortunately none of the entree were a hit for any of us. My pasta was very boring and needed salt. I didn't eat much bc I was getting full plus I knew I could bring it home and doctor it up! I got one good bite of the black pepper tagliatelle with a piece of pork but again none of us were blown away. I didn't try the clam pizza but she said it was very dry. I did try a couple bites of the squash blossom pie and it didn't do anything for me either. So Indaco thank you for the valet parking, great service, drinks, and all the wonderful antipasti. I've heard so much about Charleston being a "foodie" place. Dining at Indaco was a true foodie experience for me. My friend and I decided to do the "For the Table"...described on the menu as, "Avoid having to make a tough decision. Let our chef curate a three course, family-style meal for $50 per guest" Since we were already splurging a bit, we decided to share a bottle of wine. We did a moscato d'asti, and it was crisp, sweet, and delicious. The server kept the bottle on ice for us during the meal. The first thing that was brought out to us was the fried artichoke. Neither my friend or I had ever had artichoke fried before, and wow. It was fantastic...topped with fresh parmesan, capers, and some kind of sauce. It was one of the highlights of the meal. Next was the burrata. The burrata itself was fresh and creamy. It was served with snap beans, zucchini, prosciutto, pepperoncini salsa verde, and lavash. Really enjoyed this dish! A margherita pizza came next. It was very enjoyable, we were already starting to get a bit full, so we decided to only have one slice and pace ourselves for the rest of the meal! They took our remaining pizza away and graciously boxed it up for us. Black pepper tagliatelle pasta and the roasted half chicken were served after the pizza. The tagliatelle noodles were thick, peppery, and delicious. I liked how they serve it with the egg on top, and you get to mix it in yourself. The chicken was very good too..the skin was perfectly crispy and savory. Finally, the desserts. We were given an almond bundino and a raspberry sorbet. That bundino was oh so good. I was ready to fight my friend for it. Sweet, creamy, and friggin delicious. The raspberry sorbet was sweet and refreshing. We had an excellent dining experience at Indaco. Great service and fantastic food. I would not hesitate to come back, and would highly recommend doing the "For the Table" if you can! read more
