I pass by this restaurant all the time, and decided to try it out on a whim. It is a very pretty looking restaurant, with equally pretty looking plates as seen in the pictures. I ordered the granola parfait, and the French toast. When the yogurt arrived I thought the size had to be a joke. The waiter could fit it in his palm, that's how small the size is for $15! Even though I was shocked by the size, I must admit it was really good. I still think about it lol. Next was the chai French toast. Do not recommend! Personally to me it just tasted like something heavily oily like if it was fried? And lastly the services wasn't attentive. And I was sat at the round table right in front of the door, not to be missed. But somehow never checked in on. I had asked not just one waiter, but two if the French toast was vegan because of dietary reasons. Both waiters responded that they would check in with the kitchen, and let me know. Which they never did. After asking two people with no success in getting an answer, I decided to leave. At this point it felt like we were just being ignored. Came here after work on a Tuesday just in time for happy hour spicy mango margs! Inside you're met with a vibrant, inviting interior with candle lit tables. Food The masala fries were crispy and warm and lightly seasoned with a delicious sauce on the side. My friend and I split two entrees- the chicken tikka masala and the tamarind salmon bowl. The salmon had a crispy outer layer that was seasoned well. It came with cucumbers and cabbage. The chicken tikka was creamy and flavor packed - totally friendly for someone with a lower spice tolerance. It was quite filling so a good choice if you're hungry. I found everything easy to share. Service We were given plenty of options seating wise since we came in ahead of the dinner rush. Our fries and drinks came out quickly. While the food was good and the prices reasonable, the menu is exceedingly limited, and was far less than what was on their website and even their paper menu. None of the seasonal mains that were on the website were available, nor were their other seasonal mains available. Two of the dishes on the menu were being replaced with something else, but that just made the menu more misleading, not bigger. Then they informed us they were out of shrimp, eliminating a whole category of options. Finally, they even said they were out of, or not offering, the specialty cocktail I ordered, which was surprising because the ingredients weren't that unusual. The food I settled on was good: I had the lamb biryani and it came with a generous amount of lamb. I also appreciated that they were clear on the menu with allergens, etc. But given the menu is so small, and was even more limited than on paper, I don't see myself returning soon. read more

I went back to Inday within 3 days of an elite event, the food was just that good. This time around it was a lot busier but the staff was still just as kind. I ordered the chicken tikka and added on rice. I also selected a sparkling hibiscus tea. My husband ordered the chicken kabobs and added rice. He had the lavender iced tea. All of our items were delicious. The wait was a little longer because it was fairly busy, but the staff was doing their best, and constantly checking on us & refilling our water. This location is cute to gather with friends at the communal style tiger table, or a casual/chic-ish date night. They have both indoor and out door seating for your comfort level. The price point is Williamsburg average. The food is wonderful, the sauces and chutney are very flavorful. Looking forward to trying their lunch bowl very soon. read more

I came here with one of my friends for brunch! The interior decorations are so cute and work really well with the space. You order at the counter and get seated afterwards. The food came out very quickly and waiters were very attentive. As far as food goes, I got the egg and cheese dosa and my friend got the masala pork hash. The dosa was okay - the chutney was the star of the show. The pork hash was much better and had more flavor. We also ordered Inday Chais which were phenomenal. There is no worse feeling than seeing food you've ordered and feeling like you've been scammed. Ok, maybe leaving at the end of your meal and still being hungry. Imagine both of these concerns coming to fruition, and that would be our experience at this restaurant. I was truly aghast at how small these portions were when I received my food. The portions are smaller than the average palm on someone's hand. While I'm not expecting a feast at this price point, I was under the impression that this was not a tapas place. We ordered two orders of the ghost chili chicken kebabs ($11 each) and, when placing this order by phone, had also requested to add two sides of basmati rice. We were told that the chicken came with the rice, which was welcome news. But when the food arrived, the rice was missing! So was the case for our chutneys, that were also missing in action for the samosa order we had placed. Very disappointing. An extra star for the parfait, which was delicious (and also comp'd thanks to a Yelp event.) I'll say this: what little food we had was pretty good, but for the amount you're paying for these portions....there's simply so many other options you can visit in the area that will leave you more satisfied and less hungry. read more

Came in on a Sunday at 1:40pm and there was plenty of room. My 3 friends and i got to sit in the communal table. We mostly got brunch dishes and we all enjoyed them. My mango lassi wasn't creamy and had some spices which were good but different than your typical lassi. My chickpea village curry was good but a little spicy, it build as you ate it but if you are ok or love spice you'll be fine. It was a little spicy for me but i have a pretty low tolerance but i was able to finish it. The dough was amazing. I also had the garlic naan which was great and the cheese naan was ok, my friend found it a little salty. I had a bite of my friend's sweet chili paneer and it was very delicious IMO. I also had a bite of my friend's potatoes which were fine, salted and cooked well, Nothing too crazy. The service was fairly good. There weren't too many people there for brunch so it's a good place to go to with a group and it is quite spacious as well. We were able to hang out and talk after we paid the bill. I'd love to come back and try the dosas and have the sweet chili paneer which was very good. read more

Came here on a Monday evening with a friend I met from Yelp Elite! We had the kale crispy rice, sweet chili paneer, coconut stuffed naan and the charred chili chicken. Absolutely delicious - though I only got to try their mango parfait, thanks to Yelp Elite Week. I wasn't expecting to see walnuts drizzled with honey and MINT PIECES in the parfait, but my taste buds rejoiced at all the flavor combos. The yogurt was so light in sweetness and texture that the mango and other toppings complemented it perfectly. My impression of Inday is that it's healthy Indian fusion cuisine. Not quite sure if the healthy is true or not. Me and one other split a few items including the bacon cheese naan, chili chicken bowl, and the tikka burger with a side of masala fries. The masala fries were a bit underwhelming-- they appeared either overfried or double fried resulting in an overly crispy and not so soft potato inside. The bacon cheese naan was delicious. It definitely could be a meal of its own (I had it for breakfast the next morning and it was a great savory breakfast too). It comes with a curry sauce/dip that I didn't feel was necessary because it's so flavorful on its own! The chili chicken bowl was definitely my favorite. It was giving healthified halal vibes. I came on a Saturday morning around brunch time, it wasn't too crowded and had a lot of open seating indoors and outdoors. Absolutely beautiful decorated interior and exterior, really helps in amplify the vibes! The server/waiter were really nice and accommodating. Food was 4/5 - I got the mango lassi with the egg and cheese dosa and the papadum and chutney. The egg and cheese dosa came with the green curry sauce which went really well with the dosa. The dosa itself was very light and delightful, but personally wouldn't order again since it was heavier than expected with not a lot of flavor. I absolutely loved the mango lassi, you could never go wrong with ordering a mango lassi. This paired really well with the green curry sauce for the dosa. My first experience was much better than the second, I did get there an hour before the place closed, but that doesn't mean the staff has to rush me out of the place from the minute I sit. I would have preferred to been told they couldn't serve me that late. But regardless, I love the place ambience, the colors, and the food is great. This place feels like a hidden gem in one of the most popular parts of the city. My wife and I walked in and were instantly seated outside. Nice and friendly service (our waitress even made our original fry order a side to my sandwich which saved us money!) and just as importantly amazing food. I got the Butter Chicken Parm (which I'd argue almost doesn't even need the sauce it's so flavorful but it is good for dipping), sweet chili cauliflower, and a side of cheese naan which was plenty. Not a fan! Tried once take out and it was just ok, this time we dined in, but I do not plan on coming back. Dosa has a very long way to go and do not get me even started on naan. It was burnt and crispy. We told them and they gave us new ones, but honestly if you can't get naan down, there is not much to talk about. Best part was little side of the salad that came with marinated chicken kebabs. Lamb and chicken were also just ok. With so many good Indian places in NY can't see this place thriving. I don't write too many reviews, but felt this place warranted one. I've been twice now and both times have been thoroughly impressed. The food is amazing, you can get your classics or explore some non-traditional options. So many Indian restaurants in the area drown their food in oil, butter, and grease, and you walk away heavy and ill-feeling. Inday's curries are well-spiced, warm, and most importantly light and pleasant. The interior is beautiful and the staff are great. The first time I came, the chef came out to introduce himself and ask how our meal was. This really is a nice addition to the neighborhood and definitely worth a try. read more
