Asian street food and a burger bar - interesting combination for sure - it occupies the small place that previously housed Hops. The interior is attractively appointed, bright and modern. There is a very limited amount of parking in the front, 7 spots or so, but there is some more parking a short ways up Northwestern - not the ideal situation, but workable for some folks. When I arrived 10 minutes before opening, 3 of the spots were already taken by staff - not cool when you are trying to build a customer base in an awkward spot! I ordered the 3 piece Mac & Cheese Balls and the Seoul Hot Chicken Bao Bun. And they carry Tsingtao Lager, one of my very favorite beers. Both dishes were well sized and attractively presented. As has been noted in other reviews on Yelp, the Mac & Cheese Balls are excellent, and the taste is even better when the accompanying sauce is liberally applied - a bit of initial sweetness moved away at the end by a nice amount of heat, great sauce!!! The Seoul Hot Chicken was an equally excellent dish, the sauce on this also makes the dish - another sweet start with a warm finish, excellent on the tender, flavorful white meat chicken. Trying out this restaurant for the first time and it was really good. The place is very clean and in great shape. The waiter was really good. The macaroni cheese bites were amazing. The pimento burger was good as well. The bacon jam on the burger tasted a little overdone but nothing to complain about. The cheesecake was really nice to end the meal. Overall this must have been a slow day. There were a few people here when I arrived but by the time I was done it was empty. The service to get the food could have been a little faster since there was no one here. But good for me that I had extra time to sit and work on my computer and I wasn't completely in any rush. So I don't hold that against them. But... someone who wanted to come in, eat, and rush out might feel differently. I liked the place a lot and I'll be back to try some more menu items! Straight to the point, the food is good and the staff was friendly and inviting. My wife and I came in late to dine in and the staff were gracious enough to serve us as this was our first time. The inside is average, if you have been around Winston Salem for a while, you know that this building has had several great restaurants in the past. The selection is overwhelming because there were so many options that you want to try! We decided to go with the steak sandwich (delicious) and the BBQ bacon cheeseburger (awesomeness). The cool thing about the sandwiches is that you can get the special communal or loaded fries for $1.50 more (this was July 2023) and tried the zesty ranch fries. We tried the baked mac and cheese and it was pretty mid, but overall the food was great. The waiter (Billy) and waitress ( Dawn?) were awesome and made me want to come back again. I've been waiting to try this place for a couple of weeks now. It's located just on the outer skirts of downtown across from Reynolds Park. There is very limited parking directly in front of the restaurant, but there is street parking available. Upon entering, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who walked me to the quaint dining room area. Very informal, well lit, and not too loud. They weren't very busy, so he let me choose where I wanted to sit. The waitress appeared about 1 minute after sitting down with a class water in hand and asked if I wanted anything else to drink. They don't have alcohol licenses yet, so that's not an option as of now. They do have coke products The menu is very eclectic, with lots of options at affordable prices. I leaned towards the asian fusion side tonight and ordered Spring rolls, Korean bbq bao bun, and yum yum shrimp bao buns. The food came out in less than 10 minutes and was plated nicely. I did not enjoy the Korean bbq bao(kbb) or the spring rolls. The texture pf the kbb was not pleasing. Too many soft things. There are carrots, but not enough to have an impact on the soft textures of the chicken, the sauce, and the bun. The spring rolls were called vegetable spring g rolls but seemed to only be filled with rice noodles and the flavoe was off putting. Now, on to the star of the evening. The yum yum shrimp bao! The shrimp were well seasoned and lightly fried. There was just enough yum yum sauce to provide flavor and not ruin the crispness of the shrimp. I will return just for this item!! Overall, although I didn't like 2 of the 3 items I ordered, the customer service and the shrimp bao is what earned this visit 4 stars. Surprisingly good! I met a friend out for dinner and she loves this place: the concept and reviews gave me pause and I will say, better than expected! We started with the Mac and cheese bites: these were excellent! Light and not thick, deliciously hot and the sauce, a spicy honey mustard, was incredible. Seventeen more please. I got shrimp Bao and my friend got wings. The shrimp Bao were good: not overcooked, good breading. A little unwieldy to eat in Bao so I pulled them out. The Bao was soft, fluffy, and I used them for fries! Her wings were light, crispy and perfectly cooked and sauced! We also both got fries: she got poutine, I got crab Rangoon, small orders. The fries themselves were good: could have been crispier. Lots of 'crab' meat and some cheese, a sweet chili sauce and another sauce I couldn't place. The poutine fries weren't the fave: the cheese was lacking and the gravy a little funky. Our server was sweet: there was only one other table the whole time we were there and it was really quiet. Google maps will lie to you about where this place is but it is at the corner of Reynolda Road and Northwest Blvd. They are a few parking spaces out front including a specific one for To Go Order pickup, but never fear there is another parking lot just up the hill. We visited InDemand on a Monday for lunch. The staff was very nice and helpful really selling the menu. The meal started off strong with appetizers, I highly recommend going with a few friends and ordering a few different appetizers to share. The mac and cheese ball has a wonderful sauce and manages to still stay creamy on the inside. No one in their right mind is going to turn down any crab rangoon but these were a top notch filling to wonton ratio and perfectly crispy. I thought the Pork Gyoza was slightly rubbery but it wasn't the worst I have ever had. I guess I was just in the mood for deep friend. By the time we got to the entrees I might have been too full to really appreciate my burger. But I didn't think the burger patty flavor was that great, it was also one of those two big to get a bite of all the flavors at once. My friends really enjoyed their Thai dishes, so perhaps I will stick to that section of the menu next time. I am glad I made the choice upgrade to a side of the communal fries with the Trailer Park Fries. Perfectly crispy fries! I want to go back and try more of the loaded fry options. read more

So I'm going to have this place a second try. First time out at lunch was just ok. The place itself is done up nicely and has great indoor and outdoor seating and a nice bar area. Huge varied menu for the Asian menu and burger menu. The service was also good although a tad bit slow for us being the only people in there . My friend ordered a kolsch beer off the extensive beer list but they didn't have it. So ended up with something else. I ordered the ahi tuna app and was a little disappointed in the presentation. 5 very thin pieces of tuna over some shredded cabbage. Tuna was cooked nice and rare though. Served with soy sauce. My seasoned fries were good would have liked more seasoning though. They do have a nice list of loaded fries but wasn't in the mood for that at lunch. My friends had the burgers . The Carolina burger comes with a side so she got the spring rolls . Burger was fully loaded and great she said but the chili was canned and not great. Looked amazing though ! The bacon cheeseburger we ordered well done and unfortunately in the middle was quite pink . When we told our server he explained they take the temp but don't obviously cut it open. I suggest they take the temp in the center !! Offered us another burger but we were done at that point with no time. Her fries she liked though. The burger itself again looked great. When your used to well done the pink meat can be quite gross and disturbing! Having said that . I'd give it another shot. The bar area seemed nice with seating . This was my first time ordering from a takeout/delivery only restaurant. The online menu had great photos. I used door dash and everything arrived in a timely manner. The food looked like the pictures and traveled well. I had the the Korean chicken buns. They were delicious and still crispy. I also had the chicken wings with garlic Parmesan sauce and blue cheese dip. The wings were perfectly cooked and the blue cheese dressing was amazing. I could not really taste the wing sauce but the cook and dressing made up for that. To balance out the heavy items I got the cauliflower. It was very tasty and made a great side. This is our top take out place! We haven't tried everything but what we do get, is consistently well made. The yum yum shrimp is amazing. The bao buns are soft and steamy. Scrumptious. I usually order the shrimp yum yum bao bun and it is delicious. An amazing sweet yum yum sauce drizzle. I recommend the Japanese mayo for the yum yum shrimp as well. My husband always gets the Korean bao bun, or one of the handheld sandwiches, with a side of Bulgarian fries. He's also had the crab Rangoon fries. When we order, everything is packaged nicely, and great portion sizes. My only complaint would be the cheesecake, very small slice for the price and not the best we've had by far. As someone who loved Hops and is still bitter they're gone, I had set a low bar. Still, a friend and I gave it a shot for lunch on a Thursday. It was fantastic. The front of the house was prompt and polite, and best of all, seemed to be working together. Our waiter was knowledgeable and made several menu suggestions based on our comments and questions. The food was at the table in good time and was hot and delicious. The Bao Buns were my first introduction to the dish and are a new favorite. The specials are pretty good, today was drunken noodles, Pad Thai & Thai fried rice. I opted for the steak sandwich with toasted garlic bread. I loved it. A thin cut of steak with arugula and a nice pink sauce, I added a little Texas Pete for a slight kick, I got mine without the onions. The steak was flavorful and tender, the garlic bread was not overwhelming, it was just right. Bread was also perfectly toasted. I loved it. I got regular fries with it put they have a great choice of different fries like the Garlic Truffle rosemary that my daughter got. They were really good. She also got the Crunchy Tortilla Burger which has avocado, caramelized onions and tortilla chips. She liked it put said some type of sauce on it would have made it better. I stole a bite and agree.
