We were ordered some happy hour priced appetizers such as the Celtic knots, hummus and sausage rolls. All were tasty but I have to admit the knots were my favorite as I love hot pretzels. For dinner hubby and I shared the Hockin or flocking molly. A delicious combination of mashed potatoes and Irish sausages. All our servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The weather was also perfect for enjoying the patio. I can't wait to come back for St Patrick's Day!

Bar tenders kept walking past a guy and paid no attention to him. I think 4 ppl bar tenders walked past him to go to tables and ignored him. He tried to get someone's attention with no luck. He put his wallet and credit card out, but that didn't help. Finally, our bartender came back near us finally and asked if we wanted another round but completely ignored him. I said, yes we need drinks, but he would like something, take care of him first. We ordered food and the guy put our food literally on top of our cards while in the middle of playing and trying to dab the cards. Why he didn't put it next to us was beyond me. Overall, I love the place but def some off moments. However, I'm excited to see the new build out and how big it will be.

I consistently find the staff friendly, hard working, and as attentive as you can expect during very busy game days. My wife and I have mostly enjoyed appetizers, like burger sliders and appetizer platters which include items like shrimp, motzerella sticks and buffalo wings. We find this type of bar food pretty good and would no hesitate to return. While my wife is British and also enjoys both British and Irish foods, she hasn't tried some of their signature dishes yet. While our experience has been mostly positive, I don't know that we would come back again on a game day. They consistently have audio/video challenges were the screens on one half of the restaurant are around 7 seconds delayed compared tot he other half, which translates into regular auward moments where people start cheering (or booing) and others don't know why until 7....6...5...4....3....2....1... ahhh now I know why. And when seated at a table with people on one side are facing different screens than those on the other side it challenging to be engaged with your friends. Similarly, while it's perfectly normal to have elevated sound to amp up the energy during a game, the sound is so loud it makes any conversation very challenging and even triggers louse noise alerts on my watch. Many seats sit directly below a speaker, and the sound is so loud it really hinders the experience. Therefore, I'd recommend this place without hesitation on a typical day, but would suggestion staying away during football, soccer or other sports events.

Finnegan's Grille & Pub -- Port Charlotte, FL…read more Visit Overview: We stopped by Finnegan's Grill & Pub on Friday around 11 a.m. The restaurant was clean, neatly arranged, and welcoming, with a large bar positioned in the center of the space. Service: Our server and bartender, Kim, was excellent. She provided fast, attentive service and took the time to explain the daily food specials as well as how the drink special works. Food: We started with the lobster bisque, which arrived first and was surprisingly good. For our main meals, we ordered a prime rib sandwich with fries and a BLT with fries. The entrées came out shortly afterward, and everything was served hot, fresh, and full of flavor. * The lobster bisque was rich and tasty. * The prime rib sandwich was especially enjoyable. * The BLT and fries were also hot and very good. Overall Impression: Between the great service, tasty food, and friendly atmosphere, Finnegan's Grill & Pub made us feel like family. It was the kind of experience that makes you want to go back. I must give Finnegan's 4 stars Gulf Coast Terry

I have to say, I loved the ambiance of Gavaghans. I am not entirely an Irish pub kind of girl, but…read morewhen you are in Rome you do what the Romans do, right? And in Sebring, that means you walk into the cool Irish pub on the circle and soak it all in. The interior alone makes it worth the visit. Dark wood, warm lighting, that cozy tucked-away pub feel that makes you forget you are in the middle of Florida. It feels transported. It is one of those places in Sebring that you just have to see because it is so unexpectedly cool inside. Service was great. I was there for a quick in and out, so I sat at the bar and kept it simple with a chicken Caesar salad. Nothing fancy. For the price, it was very fair, and the flavor held up. No complaints. It did exactly what it needed to do, which was give me a solid meal in a comfortable setting without overcomplicating things. Now let's talk about Sebring itself. Sebring is one of those towns in the middle of nowhere Florida where you find yourself thinking, "I wonder what it would be like to live here?" while also scratching your head a little. It reminds me of The Villages before The Villages became The Villages. There is a concept there. It is adorable. It is charming. And most of the time, it is very, very quiet. Personally, I would go stir crazy living there full time. But I can absolutely see the appeal. And to be fair, Sebring is not always sleepy. It comes alive during major events like the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway, which draws racing fans from all over the world. There is also the Sebring Soda Festival, the Highlands County Fair, and various car shows and seasonal events that suddenly flood the town with energy. During those times, I imagine the entire vibe shifts. If I were to come back, it would be for one of those big events or for some serious antique shopping, because that is where this area quietly shines. Gavaghans fits perfectly into that Sebring personality. Cozy. A little unexpected. Solid. Worth stepping into. Even if you are not an Irish pub person, it is one of those spots that makes you think, okay... I get it.

We sat ourselves at a table nearest a window. The place is dimly lit. We placed our order at the bar. We did not wait long for our meal. We each had the Cesar Salad with Bacon bits and a glass of red wine. The salad was a generous portion, fresh and crisp with just the right amount of housemade dressing. We each ate half of the salad and took the remaining home. The place was quiet with only one other table seated. We were able to converse with each other in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. It was a most pleasant evening. I recommend Gavaghans and plan to return on a weekend when the place might have a more livelier vibe.
