Very friendly staff. Appears family owned and run. Best Indian food we've had anywhere in Idaho. Garlic naan was on point. Samosa app was great. I had chicken Vindaloo at a spice level of 4 of 5, it was very tasty. The star of the show was the lamb Saag at a spice level 3 of 5. I could not stop eating that dish. There is so much depth of flavor in the spice blends - it's like most Indian food I've had is only two dimensions, and this gives the food a third dimension with layers of flavor. Outstanding Indian food! Being new to the area we are so happy that we've found an Indian restaurant that we will return to again and again. It is family run and the service is friendly and fantastic. We shared an appetizer of spring rolls that were so delicious. My husband's entree was lamb vindaloo which he thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered chicken tikka masala and it didn't disappoint! We normally order papadums as an appetizer and naan to accompany our meal. However their tandoori oven had broken. Reviewing again because we are constantly blown away by the service here! We had waited an hour and a half previously at another restaurant before calling these guys. They said that they were available to seat 7 people and had multiple tables pushed together and ready to go when we got there! Our orders were taken quickly and food was delicious, per usual! They are so accommodating even when busy. It was only the manager one-handedly working out front for most of our visit; answering calls, giving to-go orders, and serving multiple tables; and did so seamlessly until help arrived. Phenomenal food. My wife has an extremely sensitive palate and isn't very adventurous but she LOVES the Dawaat Chicken. I on the other hand am up for anything and have dove into many of their dishes including several goat menu items and just tonight the Butter Chicken. I have had some amazing and authentic Indian food where I came from. Since moving to Idaho, I have missed eating at my favorite Indian restaurant that was just down the street from my house. Now there is fresh and flavorful Indian food in N Idaho! The samosas had just the right balance of filling and breading. The tamarind, mango and mint chutneys were delicious. The garlic naan was fresh, hot and flavorful. The butter chicken melted off the fork. It's been a while since I've eaten Indian food, so I asked for 1 (out of 9) spice. Three girlfriends and I met at India House to celebrate a victory during primary elections. The aroma as you enter the door is delicious, the place settings are beautiful and the service is attentive and gracious. When we asked for recommendations, because everything sounded delicious and at nearly the same most reasonable price, we were given consistent suggestions. We had to wait for one member of our party and again, the staff was gracious about it. The owner came out to meet us and give us the healthy history of this restaurant. I had classic chicken curry and an excellent appetizer that the owner suggested for us while we waited. One of us had a shrimp and vegetable dish that was huge and gorgeous. But when I got to the restaurant to pick up our order, the man (owner?) seemed less than thrilled to cash out the order. Which I overlooked...it was at the end of the day and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. But when I got home, both of our garlic naan were missing. So I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to get what I paid for. If it weren't for the delicious food and reasonable prices, I would've docked more points for the service and the missing items. But overall, definitely a solid Indian eatery. read more

Between two main dishes, naan bread, and the copper bowls of rice that accompanies it, we had more than enough and took some home. We've tried the mango curry, lamb korma, butter chicken, and all of them have been excellent!! They will adjust the spiciness at your request. Be sure to be generous with yourself and order some mango chutney or raita To complement the meal. Each time we order a different kind of Naan bread and so far our favorite is the one stuffed with raisins and coconut. We've also tried the garlic cheese naan, which is tasty too. The Service was fast and staff was very friendly and cordial. I learned about this place when my son picked up a door Dash delivery, and he noticed the beautifully set tables, the comfortable chairs with plenty of dining space, and the warm India decor. We have had the same experience multiple times and the servers are rude. after ordering over a hundred dollars in food to take some home they would only give us the cheap take home container and would not give us the to go containers. The sauce and food did not make it even away from our tables before spilling all over the bag. We also ordered two of the same dish and they came out completing different and we were trying to get some ones attention and they didn't know anything about it or would not even acknowledge it and the cooks plaid dumb. We have been here multiple times and more than half of them were terrible service. Good Food bad service I will be looking for another Indian restaurant. Great food, but the worst mistreatment I've ever experienced at a restaurant establishment in my life, bar none. My mom and I went for dinner, hoping to have a nice relaxing evening. We walked in, saw the sign that said "Please wait to be seated". The restaurant was empty except for two tables with guests. There was a man standing off to the side (he was our server and we later discovered he's the owner) never approached to greet us or seat us, he simply stared at us, and then said, "can I help you with something?", as though we were interrupting him or in the wrong place. His demeanor was unfriendly and unwelcoming. We pointed to the sign and said we were there for dinner. He waved his hand in the direction of the tables and said "over there. Third table on the left." Rude. We waited a few minutes and he finally showed up with menus. No matter what questions we asked about the menu choices, he shrugged and said, "it's up to you." We weren't asking what he recommended, we were asking about spice levels and other specifics. It was like pulling teeth with this person. His entire demeanor was rude, dismissive and resentful, as though he was barely suppressing his dislike of us and the customers in general. Anything that was asked of him was done begrudgingly, and he took forever to bring it. For example, when ordering, we asked for two sides of mango chutney. We received only one. I tried to get his attention,but he looked at me and walked away. I had to get up and walk over to ask for the second order we didn't receive. He told me we only ordered one. I told him no,we ordered two,one for each of us, which he then argued about. Finally,he said he'd bring the second order of chutney. (Basically a scoop of chutney in a small container.) My mother's meal was nearly completed and he still hadn't brought the chutney. I went back to the kitchen (where he was sitting and eating) and asked for the order, we were nearly finished. He was visibly irritated, got up and went inside the kitchen and I went back to the table. About 10 minutes later he FINALLY appeared with the chutney, after my mom's meal was now finished. There only three tables filled at this time,so the restaurant was not busy. He was simply dragging his feet, eating his meal, etc. Unacceptable. We had planned to stay for dessert, but the behavior from this owner was so rude and hostile that we wanted to pay and go. I said I was not leaving a tip for this reason (something I never do). Instead of attempting to resolve the situation if only for the reputation of his business, he handed over the payment pad, gave me the receipt, and walked away without saying a word. Not even a "thank you for coming in" as we left. Absolutely horrible experience, I don't care how good the food is, will never go there again,and I'll let anyone I know exactly how we were treated. read more

This place was ok-the curry was delicious but there wasn't a whole lot of meat in my butter chicken. They will give you a generous portion of rice and sauce though. I was dissatisfied with two things in particular: the Raita was soupy and was packed in my togo bag *right* next to my hot container of curry. As a result, the raita was super watery and really disappointing. In addition, we got an order of garlic cheese naan and was really surprised to see that we got one portion or two halves. Two half pieces for $5.99?? Really? Overall the flavors were great but we were really disappointed with the price to portion ratio. Go to Mango Tree in CDA for your money's worth. My family has gone here quite often and we love it. Everything about it. The crew is amazing. The cooks in the back are siblings and you can tell enjoy their job. The waiter is awesome! We went in yesterday with my nephew and he got my nephew to have fun with him. He was laughing, even got him to clap for the first time. They are so kind and i love the portion verses price. You get plenty of food for a good price and it tastes delicious. I always go home with leftovers. They also have a beer called the maharaja that is super good!
