OMG! This place is soooo good. We started with Vegetable Samosas served with two sauces. I then had Daawat Chicken and hubby had Chicken curry with plain Naan. I was in heaven. Both sauces were so toothsome and flavorful. The heat was just right. The food was so good, in fact, that we ordered two dinners and naan to go for dinner the next night. Kept hearing rave reviews so we ordered a few dishes for pick up- paneer tikka masala, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, tandoori chicken, and garlic naan. Most amazing Indian food in the CDA area hands down! Seated in a timely manner, water, food delivered hot and it was a wonderful variation of dishes. And only one waiter handled a house of happy guests. We were at the Mango Tree an hr earlier and they had the worst service. Mango Tree had four people walking around, I think they worked there? Just ate here and wow was it worth the drive from spokane. Best Indian food around. The paneer pakora was very tasty. We also got the butter chicken (back left) and the hot vindaloo chicken. Chili naan and garlic naan were both fresh and delicious. Highly recommend you eat here.! read more

Given there is an Indian food place in Post Falls ID in itself calls for at least 4 stars .. hehe And given I know my Indian food in and out .. I think their food also deserves 4 stars .. the curries are nice and ingredients are fresh. The breads are great nd so is the service. I always ask for 3 stars when it comes to the potency of curries .. but the 3 here is not a 3 what I know of (it is more like 2) .. but that is alright .. it is better for a 3 to be a 2 than vice versa :D All in all .. a great addition .. and a welcome change .. I hope they keep a track of what their customers are saying and keep on improvising. I will keep coming back whenever I can. read more

Really great Indian food. I have tried all the Indian Restaurants in the area and am so glad that friends recommended this place. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala, shrimp korma, Butter Chicken, Lamb Tikka Kebab, Garlic and butter Naans for our Entrees and Pakoras for appetizers. Everything was delicious. One of our party stated that they didn't like lamb( which is my favorite protein) and after trying it was a convert. My only negative, would be that although the sauces were wonderful the actual amounts of protein in each dish is small. I understand that lamb and shrimp can be more expensive; but chicken is not and those dishes could have definitely had more in them. Will definitely be back. read more

We got take out tonight and did a hike in Post Falls. Worth the drive from Spokane! I would say that this place is one of the better indian restaurants in the region. We ordered Malai kofta and veggie korma. Both were tasty, creamy, and plenty flavorful. They probably have my favorite malai koftas in the area. Ohhhhh myyyyy heavens. That is the best indian food I have ever had and I love indian food. I can't even describe what just took place in my mouth. The Nirvana is perfectly named because it was heaven. My adorable husband got the Ginger lamb. It had a red curry and it was pretty good but of course I enjoyed what I ordered more. We also had garlic cheese naan and our amazing server brought us some pretty tasty dipping sauces.....the naan was perfect and didn't need it but the spices were absolutely amazing. The naan had perfect char just in the edge. The interior is a little bright but I loved the decor. The customer service was phenomenal by everyone I watched even the bussers. Thank you India House. Wow! The experience was phenomenal. I have to say that my first impression was an immaculately clean restaurant that seemed modern and welcoming. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful. But the food...! Wow it was delicious. Being from the area, we grew up on N Idaho restaurants. The military took me all over the world, as well as the country. I got really spoiled with the restaurants I visited, and came back to Idaho after the military with expectations that are rarely met. I love my hometown, but I am so proud that we have a restaurant with food this good here now. I have one critique, and I'm not even going to go down to 4 stars because of it because I'm hoping and praying they're still finding their stride. We ordered the butter chicken and the mixed grill. The flavors were out of this world delicious, but I was left a bit disappointed with the amount of meat in each dish. The butter chicken was only a few bites worth of meat, and the mixed grill was only a little more. I'm going to be eating there often, so I hope this gets tweaked a little bit going forward. First time at this restaurant. My hubby, baby and I stopped here on the way back to Spokane. Good staff and fast service. Plenty of room between tables. There's also two rows of booths. We wanted to bring baby in with stroller and were able to. Authentic Indian food based on North Indian cuisine (Punjabi food). You'll love it. Spice level 2 is perfect. We got the Vegetable Korma - creamy curry with vegetables and slight sweetness, Panner Bhuna - creamy tomato based curry with Indian cottage cheese cubes, Goat Biryani - well cooked goat meat with spiced rice, and Garlic naan. Good new spot for dining in Post Falls. They specialize in Punjab region cuisine and have a huge menu. Cheese stuffed naan with garlic was new to me and delicious. Mixed grill was good with a variety of flavors. Lamb "sheesh kabob" seemed a little tough while the tandoori chicken was flavorful. Shrimp on mixed grill was only 2 small pieces and a bit overcooked. I've been to The India House 5-6 times over the last year, and I'm done going back. The food is amazing! I'm going to miss it actually. The prices were great too. But the server (I think his name might be Ali, younger, longer hair) is just flat rude. I've asked for help in figuring out menu items when I go in, and he acts put-out every time. A few months ago he had one song on repeat. When I asked if he could add in some more songs like the one we were listening to he stood there, and stared at me. Then said he was a musician, and that he'd played with that band. Weirdly defensive reaction. I took a friend here last week. Her first time trying Indian food, and after we ordered her jaw was on the ground. She asked me if he was always like that. I laughed, and told her yes. A short while later my friend asked if the music sounded louder... we'd been catching up on each other's lives, and I think there were two points that we were laughing... I guess that's not tolerated there ‍ There's a young girl waitressing there now too, and that same guy was rude to her too. I hope she finds her voice, and gets a job where she's valued. The other staff seems nice, but Ali is the one who works the most when I go in there so I'm going to need to find another Indian restaurant :( read more

Very good food, quick takeout, but way too expensive... I would come here again if it wasn't for the price. I only ordered a few items and I had to double take my bill because I thought I was over charged (they did add naan but I wasn't aware of the extra charge because they didn't say anything) Not very big portions at all. The food was delicious, just beware that 3 stars was SPICY. I did think the guy at the front was nice at first. I couldn't understand him that well which I'm sure would make anyone upset. But reading the reviews about his attitude I feel validated in my opinion. I would recommend this place if you don't mind the high prices but I think I might find some place cheaper. Initially we were so excited to find Indian food with good reviews in the area. We ordered takeout. 1) we only received part of our order. We were missing half our Naan bread and another item. 2) the rice had a terrible pond water smell/taste to it. None of us could eat it. The smell was overwhelmingly strong and it tasted the same. Excellent service, extremely clean, unbelievable food. India House was short staffed and yet still the food came out very quickly. There was no lack of quality however, as the food was incredible and authentic. The decor is simple yet beautiful. They sat us in a separate room, as we had 12 in our party. We were taken care of promptly and courteously. The owner or manager was attentive to us and though he had a full restaurant, he never left us wanting for anything. I ordered the chicken Tikka Masala. It came with basmati rice on the side. I only ordered medium and felt it could be a little spicier, but I wasn't sure what to expect my first time ordering. Wow. This restaurant blew our minds! It reminded my husband and I of our favorite places in Oregon and Vegas... if not better! I had THE BEST lamb Saag I've ever tasted.
