Run don't walk to Mango Tree! They have the best Indian food in Spokane. I'm obsessed with their garlic naan, coconut rice, and coconut chicken curry. Fairly priced for the amount of food that you get. Those bowls don't seem big but once you dig in you realize there is a lot of food! You must go!

I came here with my work team for our morale event and to try out restaurant week. This location has plenty of parking and the building is large, there were plenty of seating available. We all tried the restaurant week menu. I ordered the mango lassi. My favorite drink, not too sweet , creamy with a touch of mango. I chose the Somosa chaat, the pick three curry ( butter chicken, chicken korma, and beef curry) with the rice and naan was additional. For dessert I chose the carrot cake with vegan cream cheese frosting. The samosa chaat was huge! So flavorful, the tamarind sauce was spectacular, it has a bit of sweetness to it. I enjoyed the whole thing, although a little large for an appetizer. I think it would be a great idea if the samosa chaat were mini size, especially paired with the chickpeas. It does have a god kick of spice to it. My favorite of the three curries was the butter chicken, they were all six ounce curry servings, just enough for a few pieces of meat to sample different flavors. The rice was nice and fluffy. The naan dipped in the curry sauce is my favorite, I could just eat naan and sauce. I do wish the naan was more thick and fluffy, it was more like a tortilla. The three curries with the appetizer was plenty of food for two. I had plenty of leftovers and the curry leftover for the next day was even better! The carrot cake was moist, with bites of nuts and carrots throughout. The vegan cream cheese was amazing, not overwhelmingly sweet like regular cream cheese frostings. Overall one of the best carrot cakes I've had. Restaurant week was a great opportunity for me to finally try this place, and Indian food!

There are things I have come to expect from this restaurant. Like waiting up to ten min to be served water or asked if you'd like a drink while sitting in the bar, because the bar tender is too busy talking g to the kitchen about some text messages. (She wasn't there the next time) I've accepted the service isn't great because the food is usually pretty good so we usually just get take out. We wanted to try something different. We ordered the onion salad. Thinly sliced onions and cucumbers with spices and cilantro. Sounded interesting. When my husband returned with our order, there was no onion salad. We couldn't reach them on the phone so he just went back. He returned with the onion salad. Don't order this dish unless you are prepared to repel people the rest of the evening. The onions are thinly sliced. There was cucumber. The spice is pepper, no cilantro and it looked like someone threw in some cabbage to tease us. Always check your bag. Always check the food Usually pretty good. This was less than subpar. Come on mango tree, do better.

This a good Indian Restaurant. The service was outstanding and food was good. I enjoyed the Lamb Chops and Naan Bread. I ordered the Garlic and Cheese Naan Breads, both were delicious.

Best Indian food in Spokane - seriously. We've tried all the Indian restaurants here and this is the winner. In our opinion.

Trying out a new Indian spot. The naan bread is incredible - so fresh and delicious. Thinking of getting a full plate of that next time with some dipping sauce. Tried the vegetable flatbread, it was good, but the fries appetizer had a strange sauce I didn't like. Excited to go back, but it seems like it could be hit or miss depending on what you order. Also, forgot to ask about coconut-based curries since they offer coconut rice.

This is a to-go place, the service is horrific. Worth ordering when craving Indian. Ambiance is like Olive Garden and Applebees had a baby.

Better than the downtown location in my opinion. As a regular customer of the downtown location, I've always wanted to give this North location a try despite it being like 30 mins away from me. I didn't know this location existed until I recently got a coupon for them in the mail. (*The coupon says The Mango Tree has a Sunday buffet, but I confirmed with them that there is no such thing) I was turned away the first time I was here after driving 30 mins because there was a car crash outside and they decided not to do dine-in due to safety. I was disappointed but returned again a week later. I always order the same thing when I go to The Mango Tree so that's what I did at this location too. The butter chicken poutine (my favorite item) has never tasted this good at the downtown location. Very crunchy and crispy. I also did the lunch special, which looks like a lot of food in the photos on their FB page due to the angle. In reality, the lunch special is two 8 oz bowls of curries plus 8 oz rice depending on what you want to order. Small but still filling, and most importantly, delicious. Lunch specials are probably pre-made in a big batch because you can't pick your spicy level. Besides the distance (which is relative), everything else is better than the downtown location in my opinion. Better parking situation, better dining environment (but the floor was a bit sticky when I went), faster service despite having less staff (but also not so busy that day), and better-tasting food.

    Palak delicious

Curry dishes are amazing the people who work there do wonderful customer service! Inside dining is lovely!

Food is great but it is expensive, and service is slow. It could be that we came on a Sunday afternoon.

Best Mango Tree location in Spokane! Good sized portions and stellar service. A great stop for lunch if you're on the north side of town.

The most fun is the wine 'vending' machine for lack of a better term. You obtain a scan card with your credit card and then scan it and select your wine. You determine the amount you want for each wine and the price is displayed for each. Select your wine and it dispenses it. Great way to create your own wine flight! Strange thing happened on the adventure to seek out some popular and sold out beer…read more I called 1616 Wine Cellar at 2:00 p.m. August 27th and ask the woman that answered my call whether she has a stout beer made by Icicle called Dark Persuasion. I had told her the manufacturer in Leavenworth, Washington was able to tell me that they supply to only two places in Spokane and 1616 is one of them. She looked in her computer and returned to the phone and stated they don't have any. That they've been sold out for at least a couple weeks and we're waiting for another shipment. Then she says she has a different flavor though. And I'm assuming we were still speaking about the manufacturer "Icicle" who creates several types of beer with such integrity and smoothness. She said it's a s'mores flavor and she likes it. It's her "go-to when dark persuasion wasn't available" she says. She got my interest and I replied that I should probably come by and try that, assuming we are still speaking about a product made by the manufacturer icicle. Then she says "Oh wait a minute, I was wrong. We actually have a case of Icicles Dark Persuasion". So that relieved me that they weren't just a tavern or lounge where they sell only a single bottle or a can of beer or just single glasses of wine. I'm thinking perhaps this is more of a wine and liquor store. So I said yes please, put my name on that case I'll come by and pick it up . She says she will have "the fellow working with her" put my name on it . Then there was a gap in the conversation since I was curious if she was even going to ask me my name. She didn't so I offered it . She says again "okay I'll have the fellow working with me put your name on it then" . I'm getting ready to get in the car to make that drive during rush hour and I called them back to make sure she actually was able to put eyes on this case of beer she said she had actually found on her computer. It rang until the answering machine requested I leave a message. I got in the car and started driving anyway and called them 15 minutes later and it did the same thing . I figured I'll have the s'mores as she recommended since we were talking about icicle beer and how much we both enjoyed the dark persuasion . I fight traffic for approximately 5 MI getting to their location during rush hour and I walk into their establishment and it is a sit-down and enjoy your drink type establishment. Red flag, was she really on the same page as myself regarding picking up a case of beer? I asked the fellow working behind the counter if he could bring the case of a dark persuasion by icicle and that his coworker had put my name on it. He returned from the back with a six pack that had two beer already taken out of it. He had four beer for me. I stated that she said she had a 12 pack and my name is going on it. He walked past me to a cooler and was able to pick out eight singles in their cooler. Two additional red since she broke down the case, do they not sell cases? And if she broke it down and put eight in the cooler did she really disregard as fast as the conversation I just had with her happened to put my name on it?
