Run don't walk to Mango Tree! They have the best Indian food in Spokane. I'm obsessed with their garlic naan, coconut rice, and coconut chicken curry. Fairly priced for the amount of food that you get. Those bowls don't seem big but once you dig in you realize there is a lot of food! You must go!

I came here with my work team for our morale event and to try out restaurant week. This location has plenty of parking and the building is large, there were plenty of seating available. We all tried the restaurant week menu. I ordered the mango lassi. My favorite drink, not too sweet , creamy with a touch of mango. I chose the Somosa chaat, the pick three curry ( butter chicken, chicken korma, and beef curry) with the rice and naan was additional. For dessert I chose the carrot cake with vegan cream cheese frosting. The samosa chaat was huge! So flavorful, the tamarind sauce was spectacular, it has a bit of sweetness to it. I enjoyed the whole thing, although a little large for an appetizer. I think it would be a great idea if the samosa chaat were mini size, especially paired with the chickpeas. It does have a god kick of spice to it. My favorite of the three curries was the butter chicken, they were all six ounce curry servings, just enough for a few pieces of meat to sample different flavors. The rice was nice and fluffy. The naan dipped in the curry sauce is my favorite, I could just eat naan and sauce. I do wish the naan was more thick and fluffy, it was more like a tortilla. The three curries with the appetizer was plenty of food for two. I had plenty of leftovers and the curry leftover for the next day was even better! The carrot cake was moist, with bites of nuts and carrots throughout. The vegan cream cheese was amazing, not overwhelmingly sweet like regular cream cheese frostings. Overall one of the best carrot cakes I've had. Restaurant week was a great opportunity for me to finally try this place, and Indian food!

There are things I have come to expect from this restaurant. Like waiting up to ten min to be served water or asked if you'd like a drink while sitting in the bar, because the bar tender is too busy talking g to the kitchen about some text messages. (She wasn't there the next time) I've accepted the service isn't great because the food is usually pretty good so we usually just get take out. We wanted to try something different. We ordered the onion salad. Thinly sliced onions and cucumbers with spices and cilantro. Sounded interesting. When my husband returned with our order, there was no onion salad. We couldn't reach them on the phone so he just went back. He returned with the onion salad. Don't order this dish unless you are prepared to repel people the rest of the evening. The onions are thinly sliced. There was cucumber. The spice is pepper, no cilantro and it looked like someone threw in some cabbage to tease us. Always check your bag. Always check the food Usually pretty good. This was less than subpar. Come on mango tree, do better.

This a good Indian Restaurant. The service was outstanding and food was good. I enjoyed the Lamb Chops and Naan Bread. I ordered the Garlic and Cheese Naan Breads, both were delicious.

Best Indian food in Spokane - seriously. We've tried all the Indian restaurants here and this is the winner. In our opinion.

Trying out a new Indian spot. The naan bread is incredible - so fresh and delicious. Thinking of getting a full plate of that next time with some dipping sauce. Tried the vegetable flatbread, it was good, but the fries appetizer had a strange sauce I didn't like. Excited to go back, but it seems like it could be hit or miss depending on what you order. Also, forgot to ask about coconut-based curries since they offer coconut rice.

This is a to-go place, the service is horrific. Worth ordering when craving Indian. Ambiance is like Olive Garden and Applebees had a baby.

Better than the downtown location in my opinion. As a regular customer of the downtown location, I've always wanted to give this North location a try despite it being like 30 mins away from me. I didn't know this location existed until I recently got a coupon for them in the mail. (*The coupon says The Mango Tree has a Sunday buffet, but I confirmed with them that there is no such thing) I was turned away the first time I was here after driving 30 mins because there was a car crash outside and they decided not to do dine-in due to safety. I was disappointed but returned again a week later. I always order the same thing when I go to The Mango Tree so that's what I did at this location too. The butter chicken poutine (my favorite item) has never tasted this good at the downtown location. Very crunchy and crispy. I also did the lunch special, which looks like a lot of food in the photos on their FB page due to the angle. In reality, the lunch special is two 8 oz bowls of curries plus 8 oz rice depending on what you want to order. Small but still filling, and most importantly, delicious. Lunch specials are probably pre-made in a big batch because you can't pick your spicy level. Besides the distance (which is relative), everything else is better than the downtown location in my opinion. Better parking situation, better dining environment (but the floor was a bit sticky when I went), faster service despite having less staff (but also not so busy that day), and better-tasting food.

    Palak delicious

Curry dishes are amazing the people who work there do wonderful customer service! Inside dining is lovely!

Horrible food. Slow service. Don't waste your time here. We ordered a ton of food and it was all cold and gross. Never again.

Food is great but it is expensive, and service is slow. It could be that we came on a Sunday afternoon.

Stopped in on way back from Sunday paddle boarding…read more Everyone there so genuinely nice and helpful from the time we came in to the time we left. Couple people asked if we had been helped when we already had been helped. Big table was in there and our food still came out really quick. Not that it needed to, but their kitchen obviously runs well. Food was definitely good. Pub food with a nice touch and some wild cards on the menu that you wouldn't expect to see. Everyone that works there is treated well, and it shows. We were treated well in return. What a little north side gem of a spot. Will be back. Gonna have a hard time not stopping here everytime I'm coming back from north of town.

Every now and then you find a place that reminds you restaurants don't have to reinvent the wheel…read more They just have to make good food, treat people well, and give you a place where you actually want to hang out for a while. That's Hops n Drops. It's got an easygoing atmosphere where you can unwind without someone trying to convince you your burger is an "artisan culinary journey." It's just comfortable. The service has always been friendly, and more importantly, the food has been consistently excellent. I've worked my way through quite a bit of the menu over the years--fish tacos, sliders, burgers, burritos--and every meal has felt like it was made by people who actually give a damn. The kind of folks who want you to leave saying, "Yep... I'd come back." The layout is great too. Plenty of room, comfortable seating, and it just has that relaxed neighborhood feel where you can enjoy good conversation without shouting over the music. In a world where everything seems to be trying way too hard, Hops n Drops just quietly does what it does really well. Sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for. 10/10. I'd happily loosen my belt and come back tomorrow.

Finally found a great breakfast spot in North Spokane! It is super rare to see a tofu breakfast…read moredish around here, and this one was delicious. They also have hot sauces and salsa that go really well on top. I went a little too early to try the black bean burger, but I will definitely be back for lunch to give it a shot. Also, Derek was very friendly and gave some of the best customer service I have seen in Spokane.

Finally went and tried this place with my husband and it was pretty good…read more There was about a 15min wait - not bad at all. The service after we were sat was great. The server was so nice and helped answer questions and got us everything we needed. Our table location was right next to the beverage center and kitchen door, which wasn't great. Not sure why you'd even put a table there. I don't care to be right in the middle of employee conversations or to hear/watch them make coffee and get all the drinks for other tables. It just feels like it takes away from the atmosphere a lot. The place does look great though. What they were able to do with an old Sheri's building was impressive. It felt open and the decor was modern and really nice! The food was pretty good, but it wasn't amazing. My husband got the avocado toast without the tomatoes and he said it was alright. We think it would be better if the red onions were pickled. It just adds something extra as opposed to raw onion. He also got some sausage, which was just your average sausage, which means he loved it. I got the chicken fried steak. The flavor of the gravy was really good as was the consistency. I do wish it were sausage gravy though. The chicken fried steak was okay - it was really stringy. Which is abnormal for cube steak, but this seemed to be a lot. One of the pieces I thought had a hair on it (it didn't), because I couldn't get it to break. Also, the breading on it was a bit too greasy and just came off the steak and stuck to the plate. The flavor was good though. The jam that is served with the toast I think must be from a jar. It certainly didn't taste homemade or fresh and it just wasn't good. I did really love the hash browns though! The potatoes were thin shreds, which allowed them to get real crispy without being too greasy. They were my favorite part of the meal. We might try it again, but I don't know that I would wait 15min to eat here or that I am in a huge hurry to get back there.
