The food here is always really good. They have a daily lunch buffet (not just Monday though Friday) with great options. Service is great, entrees come out quick, and restaurant is clean.

Comforting Punjabi food in a not-so-diverse city! This has become my go-to for the food of my childhood - my best friend growing up in India was Sikh - and this place does not disappoint. They use an arbitrary six-point heat scale (why not five? Seven?) and a 3 is still spicy. I can't even help if you decide to six out or six #thisboyisonfire Even their tandoori chicken is spicy, which is uncommon. I love their pappadum, panneer pakora, samosa chaat, tandoori fish, channa masala, malai kofta, and lots of unique naans stuffed from everything from raisins to chicken!

We come here for the lunch buffet every time we visit Spokane. This place is small and quaint but authentic. The staff are friendly and courteous. The buffet is limited but of good quality and hot. Everything tastes good!

The phones weren't working, so I drove in to place a to go order, roughly $100 worth of food. I added a modest tip being that they're essentially placing my food into a bag. The lady who took my order proceeded to walk away and then walked back up to me ask if I meant to tip $30 instead, and commented that the tip was low. I'm all for tipping wait staff generously, but this is a to-go order. Nor do I appreciate having someone chastise me for not leaving a $30 tip, in a restaurant where people are eating and having to witness it. The food is alright, it's one of the few options for Indian cuisine in the area. But after this? I'm alright, I'll take my business somewhere else. The absolute cherry on top was that all of that food was placed into a single plastic bag, that I was asked to retrieve myself from their little kitchen shelf.

Indian feast after shopping. Flavors are what we like and crave, and service was great as usual. We got the youngest to try a new dish (Butter Chicken), knowing full well she would love it. I felt like splurging and ordered their Mixed Grill for the first time. While it was a bit unusual to see all the meats basted in the same sauce, the sauce was delicious and had a wicked bite to it. That alone made sure none of my tenderfoots would share it with me. I tried to share, but when they heard me yip 'Wooo!' they knew they were outta luck. We love this joint and have been coming for decades. That will continue...

It's time for our annual trip to Spokane for my wife's immersion and if you follow my reviews at…read moreall, you know that my job on vacation is to coordinate the food. After a recommendation from one of my wife's classmates, I took myself on a lunch date to Indicana, and I'm honestly convinced that Spokane is a foodie dream after this meal. I have been wanting to try Indicana for lunch all week, but they only serve lunch on specific days. I did a walk-in at lunch and did not need a reservation (however I cannot say the same for dinner, we went back this evening so that my wife could try the mango lassi and people were piling in). The restaurant is stunning with warm hues of earth tones and deep, rich dark blue that pulls it all together. The music is loud enough that you can hear it, but light enough that you can still hear yourself talk, which I appreciated. Every member of staff I encountered was incredibly kind and I think I ended up sitting next to the owner or a manager who was at the bar near my table - she was so sweet and had no problem jumping in to help when needed. The lunch menu and dinner menu differ, so it's important to note if you're interested in trying anything from my review. I ordered the Pork Vindaloo tacos with naan, tandoori slaw with a side of jeera rice and dal along with a Mango lassi. Everything, and I do mean everything was delicious.   Pork Vindaloo Tacos on Naan - 10/10 every single bite was flavorful. The naan had a crispy yet softness to it, the pork vindaloo created a juice that brought together all of the flavors and then I followed it up with a bite of tandoor slaw, and it was so good. The cheese did not overpower the meal and really sealed it all together. Jeera Rice and Dal - 8/10 I wanted a bit more flavor in the Dal, but with this being my first experience with Dal, I'm not sure how flavorful it should have been. Overall, it was still delicious and fresh. I found myself taking bites of it and the jeera rice between bites of the tacos. The entire meal was very filling, but not in an overly full kind of way. Mango Lassi - 11/10 and I mean it! You should know I mean it because I my wife and I came back later in the evening (as I mentioned above) to get more. It is velvety smooth with a hint of warmth after each sip. The taste is absolutely delicious and so refreshing. I can understand why Indicana is so busy, and the reservations are needed. This will definitely be added to our Spokane list of places to visit and recommend.

Heather is a recent Californian import but welcoming and enthusiastic, recommending the Achiote Marinated Apollo Asado. The Mexican influence is dominant in this dish, only a faint scent of saffron/tumeric in the accompanying rice - a dash of salt & curry would deepen flavors that are otherwise fundamentally hearty and good. It was lovely to relax on a flower-laden patio - also good for cold drinks and hot summers. Chef Hiskey's talent really shines with dessert - the Lassi Panna Cotta consists of a firm vanilla bean custard that's buttery & barely sweet, layered with syrupy mango lassi, crushed pistachio & rose petals - an elegant and refreshing summer treat! My partner and I both got the Veg Xacuti, which was packed with chickpeas, veggies, and mushrooms on a bed of rice with a fresh slaw. It had a spice level of 2 out of 5, and it was spot on. The flavors were well balanced and tasty. My partner also got a side of the coconut daal (had a spice level of 1/5). We both tried that, and came to the conclusion that the lentils may have been overcooked because they were mainly mush, and the flavor was lacking. He also got a mango lassi, which and he stated it was quite delicious. The staff was so friendly and enthusiastic about their dishes. The chef even popped out to see how everyone was doing. The building, Feast, was clean, comfortable, and would definitely venture in again. It's not in the most desirable location, but don't let it discourage you from visiting this gem. She did bring us new ones but yuck. The garlic naan had no garlic and was completely flat and burnt. When the server asked if everything was ok and I mentioned that I'd never seen naan like this before she seemed baffled, she seemed like she might have even been the owner...I would have thought that she would know what naan is supposed to look like...She did bring a new smaller order but it was the exact same ‍ We didn't eat any of it beyond a couple bites but were charged all the same. When ringing us up she said they got new flour and he was having trouble baking with it...? You can see in the pic what I'm talking about. The chicken wasn't as good a quality as in previous visits. Mine was fatty and my moms had a big bone in one chunk. Overall for nearly $60 and all of the other times it's been disappointing we're throwing in the towel. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add.
