NEVER EAT HERE! The most horrible food I have ever had in my life! I would rate it a negative, not even a zero! Being a huge foodie, I have ate at a lot of places, and nothing was even near to being as horribly yucky as this place. The place always seemed empty when i drove past it and now I know why! I was checking for Indian food places to cater for an event I was hosting and hence tried this one too. I asked for samplers for a few dishes I had short-listed and the woman there said she couldn't give us samplers for two reasons- one, that they don't have it and two, she just couldn't afford to give two spoonfuls of a couple of dishes for free !( even when we were ordering food for over fifty people!). She asked us to BUY food and try it and that "if you like one dish, you will like everything". When I bought dinner and had it with my family, all of us thoroughly hated all the three dishes we bought. So all their will deserve the same I guess! To start with, even a kid can tell that the food is stale. Very stale. The 'aloo bindi' was all under-fried bhindi and no aloo! The ' chicken saag' had tandoori chicken pieces in it! The chicken was orange in color to go with the green colored saag. And it was slimy! There was something that was in it that made it slimy!! The 'mutton rogan josh' was a totally different color to start with! looks like they made a common curry and they would add mutton/chicken pieces to it and serve! maybe one ingredient would be added and made it into a different dish and fools the customers. And the mutton pieces were super chewy. It lacked flavor big time and it was no way near what mutton rogan josh is supposed to look like! Oh, and the portions too are less compared to better tasting Indian restaurants like Bombay House and Tandoor!. When we went to the restaurant, there were only two people in the restaurant. Just 2! No surprises now, because this place doesn't even deserve them!! I'll always remember this restaurant. Because this is the worst ever Indian food I have had and maybe ever will! I hope we don't end up with some infections from stale food! I seriously wonder how this place is still alive, if not anything else! Phew! read more

I ordered the mix grill, appetizer, naan, and curry. Everything was really good besides the mix grill, the meat was so dry I couldn't even finish it. Also the portion size is smaller then expected. I did bring up the dry meat and they finally gave me 20% off my meal after I said I didn't agree with the charges with the meat being so dry. I would go back but I would only order curry. I only gave this place 4 stars because the window has a sticker stating vegan/vegetarian options available, yet the vegan options are not marked on the menu. I tried India House yesterday. I was happy to be able to get ahold of someone at 4:00 pm since my normal Indian place is closed. Put in orders for Lamb Coconut Korma and Peshwari Naan. I was a little confused that they then said they didn't open for another 30 minutes and that my food would be ready about 15 minutes after that. On an hour lunch break that doesn't give me much time. Maybe I should have checked yelp first but I didn't find these hours on their website. About the food...Hands down the best Naan I have ever eaten! The honey that is on it really makes it that much better. The Korma was good. I liked that I was able to get it really spicy. I will definitely have to go back. read more

I'll get this out of the way, the food is good. I'll say good not great or even amazing which is already mediocre but man oh man was the atmosphere and service the worst I've ever had. It took over 7 minutes to even get water and there was only a 1 top table and a 3 top table in the whole building at 12:30 p.m. (prime lunch hour if that's any indication) we saw our server only 3 times! Once to eventually find out that we wanted water and what we wanted to eat (which we knew long before they greeted us due to how long that took), another to drop off the food, and the third time I had to get up to find them to get a box and our check! Food is ok. The service and attitude. . . The worst. I've worked in the service industry for about 7 years which isn't much to some but I can see poor service when I see it and when I have to come on this app to say it then there's something terribly wrong. read more

The buffet included tough chicken, unflavorful kormas and bland basmati rice. If you are looking to fill yourself up, it will accomplish that. However, if you are looking to have a flavorful Indian experience, you might try another Indian restaurant. read more

We have been here for dinner several times and decided to try their lunch buffet. What we really love about India House is that they are very consistent in the quality of spice and food. It's like a party in your mouth. I was a little disappointed that the lunch buffet didn't have butter chicken as other reviewers espoused; they must change up the buffet menu. I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious two of the dishes were. We have had the Chicken Korma here before and I thought was very good and as a meat lover could never imagine ordering a veggie dish.....until today! The Vegetable Korma is amazing! It is packed full of cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, green beans, peas, and potatoes. The Karahi Chicken is also very good. It is a stir fry chicken with spices, onion and peppers; this sounds simple but the spices are so complex and well done. The naan and rice are excellent as always. They also had Chicken Vindaloo, Curry Chicken and another vegetable dish Pakora Khadi (this was good not great). On my way out I stopped in the restroom and was surprised see such a nice room that was clean and well maintained.... Good job. I was not a fan of their desserts but left with a happy tummy. Also at the cashier counter they have licorice and/or fennel seeds to freshen your breath and cut the spice, which is nice read more

3.5 stars food here is ok. The dishes here are a bit different that other Indian places I've been to. I got an eggplant dish and you could not even tell eggplant was in it since it was all mushed with the spices and sauce. I wish they had left pieces of eggplant in it. The naan was ok, wish it were more crispier. Service here is rather attentive or disorganized. We had about 3 different ppl come to the table to ask if everything was ok eg a few minutes after the other. I guess this is better than no service, right? Prices are fair. I wish they would turn the heat up though, it was rather cold while eating and it didn't help that we sat by the window which made it colder. read more

I'm still pretty new to Indian food and so far, this is the best Indian restaurant I've been to! I pass this place every day to and from work and it just looks like a small whole in the wall type of place, I'm glad I decided to give it a try! I ordered the Aloo Tikki for an appetizer and it was amazing! For the main dishes, I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Curry with Garlic Naan Bread, I usually am not a big fan of curry (probably the way my aunt prepared it when I was a kid) but this curry was great, light, perfectly seasoned and something I would order again. This place is great and I would suggest it anytime someone inquires about Indian restaurants! I'll be sure to post photos next time. read more

India House was a wonderful experience for us! Our food was flavorful and very delicious. For the appetizer we ordered the Meat Samosa which was amazing! It is a crisp turnover stuffed with mildly spiced ground lamb and peas. My husband loved his Rogan Josh which is an aromatic lamb dish that consists of browned onions, yoghurt, garlic, ginger, and spices. It had a beautiful red color from Kashmiri chilies. My Chicken tikka masala was wonderful as well! The sauce was so creamy and wonderfully flavored with the right amount of spices. Overall, we had a wonderful time and the food was great. As you step in the door the odor hits you, stale not a good spicy smell as others have reported. There were only 2 people there for Saturday lunch and the man who "greeted" us at the door was about as inhospitable as you can get. Hoping the food at least was as good as the yelp reviews we decided to stay for lunch. I had the Chicken Coconut Korma, great flavor but 5 one inch cubes of chicken for $12.99 is not a value in my book. My dining companion had the Peshwari Naan, sweet but tasty. There was an older man who delivered our meals and cleared our table, he was courteous but couldn't make up for the lack of any service skills exhibited by the host/server. I had never tried Indian food before and was hesitant to try knowing how spicy the food is known to be and having seen Along Came Polly that made fun of the cuisine. However, my partner and I wanted to try something new and she recommended India House. Walking in, my senses were blasted by the strong smell of curry powder and I was immediately on guard. The atmosphere was nothing special, but the service was immediate and polite. We ordered a number of dishes and drinks, although my girlfriend got the better end of the deal with the mango smoothie type drink that tasted incredible. Despite my worries, the food was only slightly spicy, but overwhelmingly delicious. It was an incredible dining experience and I recommend it and will return sometime soon. read more
