I am not sure how many Indian Restaurants there are in bowling Green, but this one is great. I am not one to eat at buffets, no seriously it's hard to keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold And keep little kid hands out of the dishes. However, this was hard to pass up. Naan bread piled high and looking fresh. And some spicy chicken dish. Everything looked amazing. The only real complaint I have is (which is the same complaint of most Indian buffets) that nothing is actually spicy. I know they keep the spice level low to cater to those that can't handle the spice, but come on hit it a bit. This place was hopping on a Tuesday lunch and I can totally see why. I've tried almost every vegetarian item in the menu. I order all curries in medium spicy and biryani as mild spicy. Exceptionally good is Kaju Khoya (just no other place can make it like this), Shahi paneer, paneer butter masala. Also exceptional is Dal Tadka. Chana masala is good. Gobi Manchurian, samosa items etc is ok. Paneer pakora is really good. Egg biryani mild is also exceptional. Gulab jamun is really good. Masala chai is ok. Better than anywhere in all of BG. We need other world cuisine restaurants that are up to the same par. They set the standard for great food, good portions, excellent friendly prompt service, & consistently A+ quality. The only thing I really miss that they no longer do is the buffet. I miss being able to get a couple plates with a little bit of everything on them, instead of committing to just one entree. If you want a recommendation, try the mango lassi & the lamb rogan josh. Today my partner, his family, friends and I attended his daughter's wedding reception held at this establishment serving Indian cuisine located in Bowling Green. For some of us like myself, have eaten this cuisine numerous times but our first time here. Upon arrival, I introduced myself to the owner, Moti. We exchanged a few words before joining the rest of the party which he was happy to report that buffet has restarted back today. Complimentary roti (flat bread) with 2 choices of chutneys (mint with cilantro and onion) started our banquet. The choices of appetizers and entrees were selected off of the extensive menu which consisted of chicken coconut, chicken mango, chicken curry,aloo gobhi, saag paneer as well as vegetarian items such as vegetable mango, vegetable samosa, vegetable pakora and panir pakora. The entrees came with basmati rice and a plateful of various naan breads (plain and garlic). The food came out warm, taste to perfection, the portions were just right and they respected our request for mild. We're glad we came hungry and it didn't disappoint. Staff were exceptional attentive and very nice with reasonable prices. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and you won't regret it. read more

In my snootiest voice I will preface this review by saying I have been to India and eaten real, genuine Indian food from locals. It was a study abroad trip and we got some of the best food I've ever had. In America, most Indian food seems simplified to basic recipes with a lot of boring rice. India Oven is quite a change! I got a vegetable curry with jasmine rice. It felt like if time traveled back to my trip in India. So flavorful with a few veggies I couldn't identify but were delicious nonetheless. And aromatic rice truly makes a difference. We also had naan but alas... I've not yet found naan as good as the naan in India. India Oven's is pretty close, though! It was warm and garlicky and a wonderful pair with the slightly spicy vegetable curry. Don't worry, they have different spiciness levels if you're not feeling so adventurous. Still get the naan though! One more thing- the portions are HUGE. Out of my single order of vegetable curry with rice, I got two meals. That's a good deal. I am often disappointed in Indian places because it seems like they always have the same menu items wherever you go, but this place had a huge menu full of things I had never heard before. Everything we got here was fantastic and memorable. The portions are enormous and one could easily share an entree and not be hungry after. Although the prices are reasonable, the real gem of this place is the lunch buffet. $7 for unlimited magically delicious Indian food cannot be beat anywhere in Bowling Green. I ordered Lamb Rohan Josh, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. The naan was so fresh and tender it was almost too hot to eat (temperature). This may be the best naan I have ever eaten. Absolutely scrumptious! I asked for the Rohan Josh medium spice and it was perfect. Hot enough to feel it and taste the flavors, but very edible. Just right to kick in the endorphins. It was heavenly, as the menu promised. The mango lassi was fresh, delicious and just the right texture to drink, not too thick or thin. My family and I are making an emergency trip from Mobile, AL to Pennsylvania due to a death in the family. We stopped in Bowling Green, KY to stay the night and decided we were after some Indian food. This is the first place that came up and it had great reviews so we were looking forward to it. The smell when walking in was wonderful! The spicy fragrance of Indian food promised some gustatory delights ahead of us. The menu was extensive with a wide variety of dishes. We had a hard time choosing! We began with an order of garlic naan and peshwari naan. We were also treated to papadums with mint sauce and a spicy onion chutney. We also ordered the paneer pakora to start our meal. It was all great! The peshwari naan is probably the best we've had in years! The paneer pakora came with tamarind sauce which was a nice, sweet compliment that went well with the papadums and naan too. I had the lamb coconut and my husband got the chicken korma. They came with basmati rice and were absolutely tasty and delicious. The spices were flavorful without being overpowering nor too spicy (we've been to places where "mild" isn't mild). The lamb coconut was tender with a nice hint of coconut and a faintly carmelized flavor. The chicken korma was also tender and very creamy. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely stop here again when we travel through the area! read more

I was very optimistic about this establishment, given the fantastic reviews, but we unfortunately didn't have the best experience. Let me start off with saying, the food was phenomenal. No question there. Customer service = not so much. We waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order. Which normally would be overlooked if the wait staff would have explained their situation (short staffed, busyness, etc..), but we didn't receive any explanation at all. Our food took over an hour and 15 minutes to come out (+ other tables served before us). The customer service from start to finish was pretty disappointing. My husband & I absolutely love this place! We have tried a few dishes from the menu but our fav is the lamb tikka masala. It is so good, even at different spice levels. I always get mild & I add a spoonful of his hot to mine and it is perfection. The garlic naan is fabulous as well! We drive 45 minutes almost weekly to pick up food from here! The service is great, they are very friendly and it is a welcoming environment. I am so glad that one day out of the blue we decided to try Indian food together. My husband and I visit the Bowling Green area often and have tried this place twice. The staff are delightful and presentation is nice. Their Naan is fluffy and delicious and the samosas are good also. Sadly, their sauces are very bland. I'm the basic Chicken Tikka Masala fan. ;) I was disappointed when both times, the sauce had little flavor. Definitely needs more tomato purée as well as Garam Masala because there was little curry taste and altogether lacking the aromatic notes you find in a good Tikka Masala sauce. On a positive note, the chicken was of excellent quality. My husband tried a different dish with goat. The sauce was bland as well, and not spicy (though he asked for it to be so). The goat dish had bones in it, which isn't a big deal but customers should probably be warned ahead of time on that one haha! We will come back, I'm sure. We are moving to the area and this is the only Indian place within over an hour's drive. I'm hopeful their sauces can be improved upon. As noted in the beginning, the staff make for a lovely experience. Their Chai is also tasty. read more
