This review update is mainly for the uncomfortable feeling the server (Natalia) made us have. She…read morewas so rude and got worse after we purchased the signature drink "Tequila Honey Bee". She literally slammed everything used in the process and mixed it with the worse attitude. She also mistreated her coworkers and raised her voice enough we could heard her on the other side of the kitchen. AWFUL. I speak Spanish and she wasn't saying very nice things to them. Other than that the food was still good but we ordered it to stay there and was presented with plastic to go containers, not what we expected. She made it so unpleasant to be there and enjoy. That was her way to say "get out and don't stay". All we wanted was a quiet dinner and enjoy our time.

Tumeric & Co is THE place to go if you're craving Indian on a lunch break or even a quick dinner!…read moreLocated in Hunters Station in East Nashville - Tumeric & Co is the perfect addition! Located just right from the main doors, there is bar seating, communal seating for the food hall or limited smaller tables you can dine at! I came in wanting to try a little bit of everything and venture out from the norm. The lady who helped me with my order was amazing - she guided me through the menu, let me know her favorites and made my lunch break experience so simple! I ordered the Kathi Roll with Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani, Pork Bites and a Masala Chai for the extra cherry on top! Each meal was delivered in a fresh new way from traditional Indian restaurants I've tried in the past. I fell in love! While they may be part of a food hall, do NOT let that deter you from the flavor explosions of each hand crafted meal! They are East Nashvilles BEST Indian for a reason! Their location makes for easy pickup/take out as well!

I got a steak hummus plate. I believe delicious I'll be back. Pretty pricey for sure, but the quality is there to back it up. I think with my tip that plate was $31. Yummy though I don't think I can afford to go there as much as I would like to however, I'll definitely be back.

The waitress was lack luster in personality, we sat down asked for hummus and the young guy with long hair on staff said they didn't have change for a $20 so a 7.99 hummus turned into a 20 dollar bill when he never brought back the $5 my friend said just to bring back as a tip. Then my mom's hummus lamb plate had a clump of hair in the hummus. The staff, "would you like us to remake it or a refund" no I'm sorry not anything to remedy the situation. Between the 5 of us with to go plates was nearly $130 ish. I'm so disappointed and know the owner would be upset with how his staff handled this. My chicken saaj bowl also was lack luster in flavor, I go to another Mediterranean place locally that is way way way more flavor. Hope the owner has a talk with his team about back of the kitchen etiquette so there isn't food in other people's food.

Where do I begin?…read more Our first visit to Chauhan Ale & Masala House was nothing short of exceptional. Since we'd never been before (from Oklahoma), we had lots of questions, and our server was phenomenal-patient, knowledgeable, and full of thoughtful recommendations that made the entire experience even better. We started with the Gol Guppa Shots and Asparagus Fennel Chaat, and from the very first bite we knew we were in for something special. Every dish was beautifully plated, bursting with bold Indian flavors and creative combinations that kept surprising us. The Tamarind Lamb Chops paired with the vindaloo curry were outstanding. The vindaloo was perfectly balanced-just enough heat to remind you it's there without overwhelming your palate, allowing the depth of flavor to shine. The Chicken Kabob with the Short Rib French Onion Naan was equally unforgettable. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and we finished by sharing the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake before sipping Chai-Spiced Espresso Martinis that were simply amazing. Every plate was colorful, every bite delivered exciting layers of flavor, and every recommendation exceeded our expectations. This wasn't just dinner-it was an experience. If you're looking for bold flavors, inventive cuisine, exceptional cocktails, and genuine hospitality in Nashville, Chauhan Ale & Masala House is an absolute must. We'll definitely be back.

The ambience was amazing with Brick walls and old Hindi songs and Ramayan playing on them. . Drinks were great. The food was a let down. I ordered the salmon coriander and despite asking for spicy, it was not flavorful, though perfectly cooked with a nice char. I asked for chutney and hot peppers to spice it up and unbeknown to me, I was charged 12 dollars to properly spice my meal. The sauce base I chose was goan and the shrimp base sauce was korma which tasted the same. The butter chicken appeared to have red food color. The charge for spice is not appropriate for a fine dining place. I would not come back. Will always love Maneet Chauhan and her expertise on Chopped.
