Pretty good. Liked everything okay. Chana was respectable though it didn't come with the add potato I ordered. Heat level was good, and they sure give you plenty. Samosas and garlic naan we're alright. Unremarkable in a good way. Otherwise, there were a few small annoying misgivings almost not worth mentioning but overall a good four.

Great Cooks, The Tikka Masala has the best taste of all the other indian restaurants in the area.

The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was decorated nicely for Ramadan! We got the chicken biryani and butter chicken (two of our favorites when ordering Indian food). The butter chicken comes with white rice and garlic naan, which was to die for. We will be regulars!

That suited us as we were low on time and on our way to an event. Service was efficient and polite - a one man crew up front had everything easily under control. The atmosphere is spare and pretty basic, but that doesn't take away from the food experience. My mom's beef dish came out sizzling and spicy. She enjoyed it and the generous portions means she brought a lot home for an additional meal. BF had chicken tikka, which he also enjoyed. He's usually a lamb guy, but he finished his dish happily. I enjoyed my paneer - it had a good heat level and abundant fresh , whole spices and fresh ginger spears. It was not the more common creamy, mushy spinach, but a fresher version that I presume was more typically Pakistani. I had plenty for two meals. Our breads were good. My cheese bread tasted like cheese pizza and couldn't be terribly authentic, but hey - cheese and bread can't be wrong. Mom enjoyed a plain lassi. I did order a side of rice and was happy to have it with my dish, and while it was a generous portion, the price seemed a little high for a side. I would certainly eat at Peshawar again. Very good food with no bells and whistles.

We entered and we were greeted right away by a very friendly woman. We sat at a table with lovely, rustic looking plates. The dining area was decorated nicely and the music was also very pleasant. I used the bathroom once and it was clean and everything was working. Our server brought us bottles of water and menus immediately. We ordered the puffed bread dish called chole bhature which came with a white raita sauce, a Chana chickpea mix and some sort of a pickled side as well. The bread and all the sauces were very tasty. We ordered two lamb curries and the lamb was tender and tasty and both curries were very good. Our server brought us gulab Jamun to try for dessert. Let me say, I'm not a dessert fan, but I loved it. I would order it next time. I can't forget to mention the service, which was fantastic throughout the meal. Thank you to our server who made the experience even better! I have already recommended this place to multiple people and will continue. Great experience. Thank you! We will be back!

Located in a…read morelittle strip mall right off the freeway on Hwy 100, Ammas is an unassuming little shop with a lot to offer. The majority of the space is packed with grocery items that can't be found in most stores. Including spices, staples and certain produce used in Indian cuisine. Along the entrance wall is a set of coolers and a hot cabinet with fresh made food in house. The menu changes from week to week and is listed on their website. You can pre-order for pickup, grab something that is available, or place an order to go right at the store. The wait is maybe 10-15 minutes if your order needs to be made. The owner is super nice and helpful. We've stopped in twice now and he's so eager to give us samples and explain what ingredients are in the food and how it's prepared. His energy is infectious and makes me want to buy everything! What I really love is that most of the items I've seen and ordered off the menu are completely different from what I've seen offered at local Indian restaurants. It's exciting to try something new in a cuisine that I already love and enjoy often. The prices are fair for the amount of food in the majority of dishes. My husband and I each pick something to share, and there's generally enough leftover for one of us to have for a lunch the next day. Definitely recommend stopping in to try something new. Remember to check the menu online often!

I went to Taj Mahal hoping maybe I could score some there but they were out; they suggested Amma's food which I didn't even know existed (it's on the corner of the strip mall with Consumer Beverage and Crunch fitness). Not only did the have the deal but they have a decent selection of spices and some produce- including butter melon which you won't find at our other grocers. it's in a tiny space but I felt very welcome and the young lady at the counter was able to check me out quickly.

The atmosphere and staff were also great! For the food - everything we tried was excellent: kachori, bhel poori, mixed veg utappam, thali platter with vegetable korma and paneer burji. Most were recommended by the person who took our order (we asked her opinion on things repeatedly and she was so kind and thoughtful!). Our favorite was the kachori. The lentil filling was delicious and the fried pastry shell was TO DIE FOR. The tamarind chutney was the best tamarind chutney I've ever had. The utappam was also great! It came with a coconut chutney that became my favorite chutney ever! And my partner loved the sambhar. If we had to do it over again, we would have ordered the onion utappam because the cooked bell peppers in the mixed veg uttapam weren't our fave - but it didn't take away from the deliciousness of the crispy, flavorful utappam. I really liked the bhel poori too! When I looked at it, I thought it would be dry and lack flavor ... but I was definitely wrong about that! It was sweet and savory not at all dry. We did add the raita sauce from the thali platter on the top of the bhel poori for a little extra sauce / flavor and were pleased with the addition. The thali platter was great because we got to pick whichever two curries we wanted. As we had for most of our food choices, we asked the lovely lady who worked there about her recommendations. She was spot on with her recommendations of vegetable korma and paneer burji. Both were excellent. I also got the chai tea - it was warm and yummy. My partner got the Indian lemonade. He liked it a lot, but it wasn't my fave. It was worth trying though. And finally, the desserts. The thali platter came with a gulab jamun - and it was the best one my partner and I ever had! Then after finishing our meal, we went to check out the other desserts. We had no idea what to get so the same lady who helped us figure out what to order for dinner also helped us with the desserts. She even let us sample a lot of them! We got a lot of different things and all had great flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. I expected the bill to be quite high because we ordered so much. But it was just over $50 which seemed very reasonable to me. I'd recommend this place to anyone! So go there ... and thank me later :)
