We stopped here on our way back from a weekend up north and we are so glad we did! We had to try an Indian pizza - we picked the Chicken Tikka thin crust pizza with spinach and olives. Crust was great and the toppings very tasty! We also enjoyed the chicken makhani which we felt was the best we've had in MKE. Pro-tip you can dunk that delicious pizza in the makhani sauce! Oh boy! The hubby enjoys mango lassi and said the one here was very good. I was in the area and decided to take home some desi style pizza to enjoy on the rainy day. The menu was outdated I came across on Yelp and Google but I look recent photos of the menu for my fellow Yelpers. The service was wonderful and the gentleman attending the phone was kind and knowledgable of the menu. I was looking forward to a flavorful spicy pizza but it was underwhelming. The flavors were not authentic and left me questioning why it's marketed as such. It was a delicious pizza just not desi style in my opinion. Genuinely some fire butter chicken. I know this place was know for their Indian style pizza but I was really craving butter chicken. This was a great portion, and I actually got free rice somehow. I did order the garlic naan and it wasn't the best I've had but always good for dipping. Really quick service and friendly workers. BF and I love Indian food and he cooks it as well, so we were a little hesitant to try a place that also had pizza in the name. We wondered about authenticity. Then we started to hear good referrals from others and when we were in the area we decided it was time to try it. We stopped in, not knowing whether we would dine in or carry out, but the empty, kind of bare space made us decide to bring the food back home to eat. It feels like a really pretty small investment of paint and maybe a few decorative items could change the ambiance a lot, since there's nothing there now. We ordered at the counter, so we did wait for the food to be made. It took a while, but that's to be expected when you're waiting for all courses to be ready at once. The owner was very kind and when he found out it was our first visit, he told us to call him if we had any issues with the food. We did not. My mixed dish would probably have been better on site - as it was, everything mixed in the go container into a weird colored mix, but the taste was wonderful and fresh and the textures were great. I will gladly try their veggie dishes again. The masala fries I ordered because they were something new to us - we were surprised how flavorful they were and how much we liked them. Garlic naan brought garlic and was excellent, as was the plain. BF also enjoyed his mutton dish. He said the spice level was good and the mutton was tender. We saw several people come in for pick up orders. We have ordered to go twice now and have been extremely pleased with the food! The first time was a late night dinner and I was nervous they wouldn't let us place an order, but they were able to (as long as we could make it in 10 mins which we could). We ordered the samosas which were fire (literally burned my mouth) and the chicken biryani was superb. Everything was so fresh and HOT HOT HOT! This most recent time we got the naan (plain and garlic), samosas (again - so good), and the butter chicken. Both naans were fabulous. The butter chicken was phenomenal. So buttery and delicious. We had picked this up on the way home from the grocery run and I was able to unload the groceries and the food was still hot and fresh. I told my husband, "chick fil a could never, our fries would be so cold by now" lol. I haven't been inside to dine yet and I haven't remembered to take a picture of the food before stuffing my face. Love the freshly cooked food at Pizza N Curry. My group tried some vegetable Pakora and Samosa Chat appetizers. And for entree I tried Chicken Karahi with rice and garlic naan. I'll have to try the butter chicken next time as they were sold out that day. I got to sample taste the other entrees too and they all had different flavors and spices. We got some food from this restaurant when it first opened a few years ago, and we were quite disappointed at the time because every meat dish had an inordinate amount of ghee but little other flavor. A neighbor of ours raved about the restaurant recently, and we also noticed its high ratings on Yelp. So, we decided to try it again. The menu is much bigger now, and the interior is very well decorated. The staff seemed knowledgeable about the items on the menu and were courteous to the customers. We ordered Chicken Achari and Vegetable Curry Combo as our main dishes. Both contained a variety of spices and were quite tasty; we particularly liked the fresh cilantro in them. When we inquired whether the Naan bread contained much milk due to concern about lactose intolerance, our server recommended Tandoori Roti, which has no milk added. The chef gave us two kinds of Roti, one with garlic and one without. Both were very good. We are happy that we have this good and inexpensive South Asian restaurant right in our neighborhood. read more

That being said if you are going to order a chicken pizza the crust is great, the sauce is great, there is no upcharge for up to three additional toppings, and the slightly spicy tandoori or tikka chicken is unique and good enough to be ordered on its own merits. A great option for North Indian cuisine within the Milwaukee area. My wife and I have been coming here for about two years (she is from South India); we have had the tandoori pizza and chicken tikka pizza several times. While it is more American Indian fusion (compared to Indian Dominoes, which goes heavy on the spice and loads up on protein or veg), it is and has been great (the only place we've eaten pizza in Milwaukee that we haven't gotten sick from and genuinely enjoyed). Standard butter chicken, samosas, and naan are all good. Get the veg or chicken pakora when they have it, great stuff. The service is friendly, respectful, and family-run, which we respect and will gladly support, as they, in turn, serve great food, offer great service, and have a cute interior design. read more

I had been meaning to try Pizza N Curry out of curiosity if nothing else. Finally visited a few weeks ago and had the chicken kofta with naan. The kofta were fun to eat and the spicing and flavor were nice. This is Pakistani food which can be hard to come by. Prices were reasonable and I had enough leftover for a substantial midnight snack. We stopped by Pizza n Curry tonight and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. You wouldn't think that someone who can do Indian food really well would also do pizza well, but I was wrong! The restaurant doesn't give much in the way of aesthetic, but often the best ones don't. Our group ordered: Chicken Makhanl (butter chicken), Paneer Karahl, Peshawari Mutton Karahi, Chicken Tikka Pizza, two naans, and the masala fries. Everyone was very happy with their food. The overall favorite was the Chicken Makhanl, such a creamy great flavor and the chicken was very tender. The pizza was also very good, really crispy with great overall flavor. The food took a little longer than we expected since we were the only ones in the restaurant but nothing crazy, and they did have a few take out orders while we were there. I would maybe order for take out in the future. Our server was really nice and brought a few extra sauces and things for us to try. One of my friends used to make a pizza with jarred Indian tikka masala sauce, cheese, and sautéed vegetables, but I thought she was the only one who had thought to put those things together, so imagine my surprise when I found out a restaurant makes something similar! This is an interesting place as they have the standard North Indian fare, but also fusion pizzas with tandoori sauce or chicken tikka. My husband and I were in the mood for a pizza night in so we got a takeout large tandoori cheese pizza with paneer, onions, and jalapeños. We ordered over the phone with no problems. When we got there, we only had to wait a couple minutes to get our pizza hot and fresh from the oven. The person staffing the desk was very helpful and kind. The pizza was super crispy and appropriately chewy. The toppings all went well together including the paneer, which I was a little worried about. The only thing I didn't enjoy as much was that the tandoori sauce was a little smokier than I like. I also wish they had an option for a vegetarian tikka pizza as I think that would definitely be more my taste. I came in and asked what I should get to the owner and he gave me the authentic peshwari chix curry and I asked for the spiciest curry and it was spicy but not to the level that I wanted it to be at even though I was told by the owner it was the spiciest a customer has ordered before. The garlic roti was okay, not as soft and warm as I would have liked and harder in some areas. My favorite has to be the Tandoori Chicken pizza with spinach and paneer. I love the chewy yet crisp crust, and it's just a beautiful combination of ingredients! I also like the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza, but it's just not as amazing as the Tandoori. The vegetable samosas are also incredible! I love the dipping sauce that it comes with (a cilantro mint, I believe). Vegetable is better than the chicken, hands down. Masala fries - YES. Kanye West once tweeted, "French fries are the devil." I firmly believe he may have been talking about these masala fries. Chicken biryani is also good - it is a very large portion but was not as much chicken as I would have expected. Last time I ordered the BBQ combo platter, which was a sampler of their different meats. I definitely had some favorites but I honestly am not sure what was which. For $25, it was quite pricey but a good opportunity to try different items. Always great service and order has always been fresh, hot, and accurate. This Pakistani restaurant is slightly different than Indian places, with different spices and cooking style. Lamb and chicken is from boutique butcher shops with top quality. I stick to vegetarian options and enjoyed the style. Less oily and salty. Friendly hole in the wall. Nice owner. read more

A friend recommended this spot and said if I looked past the decor and slow service it's a gem. I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit weird with no music and one guy working the counter to take your order and then disappear like Houdini. Later realizing that he actually took the order and hustled to make our food. Hence the ticket time. Well the food was legit. A delicious butter chicken and the mixed vegetables were a highlight. Probably the best Nan bread I've ever had. The food is great! chicken boti is my favorite dish, perfectly spiced and tender. The chicken tikka pizza is quite good, an interesting mix of flavors, and the large is more than enough for 3 people. Ive also had the Palak Paneer, Butter chicken, and vegetable Biryani. All very good though the biryani was spicier than expected (I'm terrible with spicy, like level minus 10, so this is probably nothing for anyone else). The ambience isn't great but it doesn't matter at all, the food makes up for it. street parking is easy to find. Highly recommend giving it a try! read more
