Garlic naan, manhattan, chicken tikka Masala, aloo Gobi

NEW FAVORITE! Was on the hunt for some later evening eats (9pmish) on a Thursday evening and found this spot was open until 10pm. Hurray! My dining companion and I were able to be seated immediately. They have a full bar but no specialty cocktail list. They can make a Wisconsin old fashioned but their tending skills don't go too far beyond that. That said, our server was absolutely willing to give making a Manhattan a try (what a gem!). We told him how to make it and he used an Indian brand of whiskey and for a first attempt--it was all cherry garnished goodness. For our meal, my dining companion and I shared some garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and aloo gobi. All was outstanding but the two shining stars of the show were the garlic naan (delish!) and their chicken tikka masala (out of this dang world). The chicken tikka masala was perfectly balanced with the most gorgeous mix of spices lending to a gloriously flavorful dish. One of the best chicken tikka masala dishes I've had anywhere. Our server was delightful, accommodating, and absolutely lovely in every way. If you haven't yet, you need to go. Get to it!

I usually enjoy ordering from this place, but unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. The food was burnt, and I don't know what happened this time. I called to clarify, and the girl on the phone said she would check and then abruptly hung up on me. I had ordered the food for our guests, and I felt very ashamed to serve it.

My husband and I visited the Indian Village Restaurant in Greenfield recently while visiting Milwaukee area for a special event! We decided to come here because of high reviews but we were honestly disappointed! The food is ok here. I thought the prices were slightly too high for some of the menu items when I have been to many other Indian restaurants that had way better food for slightly cheaper prices in comparison. However, Indian Village restaurant has a great large selection of Vegetarian menu options such as Vegetable Pakora, Saag Paneer, and vegetarian Samosas. They also had a great diverse menu of different types of meat dishes such as Chicken Tandoori, Goat Curry, and Fish Curry! We tried the Butter Chicken, Lamb Shahi Korma, and Garlic Naan! My husband was honestly disappointed in the Butter Chicken which is his absolute favorite and orders frequently from Indian restaurants in our home town. My husband thought the Butter Chicken was ok but mostly bland with the chicken meat under seasoned almost like the chicken wasn't seasoned first and just mixed into cream sauce hoping the sauce would carry all the flavor. I tried it and also thought it was pretty bland for Indian cuisine! My Lamb Shahi Korma wasn't as seasoned as I would have liked it to be but it was still good with a beautiful rich comforting texture which was cooked in a lovely cream sauce, herbs, and had cashews. Our dishes had stunning beautiful presentation though! We thought the service was ok. The server was a little slow when it wasn't busy at all and our server's customer service was mediocre. Overall, like I said before the food was ok nothing super special and slightly overpriced for the quality and taste of the food. This place does stay open a little later until 10 pm which was a positive but I am hoping to keep searching for better Indian cuisine options in the Milwaukee area.

Indian Village has been my favorite restaurant for 5+ years. I have brought all of my friends and family here, and everyone loves it! They have remodeled within the last year and it is beautiful. It is family owned and everyone is welcoming and helpful if you are unsure about what to order. The restaurant is open until 10 which is hard to find in Greenfield. They are also on Doordash and don't upcharge The menu can be overwhelming if you are a newbie. Try the Gobi Manchurian for an appetizer. Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken are the most loved dishes. My current favorite is Kadai Chicken. There is an abundance of vegetarian options - I recommend Chana Masala. I have yet to try something I don't like!

Indian village is the best Indian restaurant in the Milwaukee area. I take everyone I know who likes Indian food here. It is a family owned business with amazing food, great service, and reasonable prices. The experience here is like none other because you really feel like you are eating authentic and delicious Indian food straight out of someone's home. Always a great experience here. Some of my favorites are: samosas, chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, chicken hariyali, and their naan. Their naan is baked fresh and is soooo delicious. All around a fantastic meal every time I go here. The chicken hariyali is so moist and flavorful because of the green marinade/sauce they have on it. The chicken tikka masala is flavorful, rich, and creamy. It is the best I have had. If you are looking for an Indian restaurant to try, this is the one!! Go here!!

We were visiting the area with my sister in law and she suggested this restaurant. Best Indian food we've had in a long time! The place is nice and clean, the owner came out of the kitchen to talk to us about their vegan options, the food is non-traditional and delicious, and the servings are double the size they usually serve but the price was the same. We started with the complimentary Indian chips and salsa (papa? and 4 chutneys) and shared a huge Taj Mahal beer. The cilantro-mint chutney was my favorite. Then we shared Baigan Bartha (small pieces of eggplant), Kadahi Mushrooms (sliced mushrooms in a dry tomato sauce), and Sarson Ka Saag (creamy mustard green spinach with ginger and garlic). All three vegan dishes tasted out of this world. The spicy level was exactly like we expected after describing to him our preference. Everyone was very friendly and the service was fast. We walked out of there with lots of leftover.

Very nice greeting, great service and most of all, amazing food!!! For apprizer, we had Gobi Manchurian. Nicely cooked and very delicious. We had Maliai Kofta, naan, rice, saag, and makke di roti. All of the dishes were the right proportion and had very good taste. The food came fast with excellent service. At the end, we got mouth fresheners on the house! This was a very good restaurant and I am looking forward to coming again to this place!! Saag was creamy, cooked to perfection of texture and flavor. Makke di roti tested as expected!

    It's in an apartment building.

I was shopping in the area around lunch time and I almost set foot in a chain restaurant, I was parked in front of it and I remembered this place is not so far away. I really like curry dishes but I don't get to Indian restaurants a lot because I think my brain associates Indian with buffets and I don't do buffets. The place is right in an apartment building which is weird but ok. The place is small but bright and clean with cloth napkins. When I looked at the menu a big box pops up with $10 take out specials with curry lamb as a choice so that sounded perfect to me so I got take out. My food took about 15 minutes to to get to me and it was piping hot and smelled amazing. I ordered the curry lamb hot and chose #5 middle of the road heat. The curry lamb was so delicious with tender/moist pieces of lamb. The curry sauce was very good with some nice heat and more like a purée than a creamy sauce. My only complaint is that I was hoping a piece of naan would be included but no, just white rice and the curry lamb so do your self a solid and get some bread with this special. Overall my curry lamb special was very good and I would definitely try more of the menu, nice job.

We found this restaurant randomly when we drove past this neighborhood, and felt so happy that we made a stop here. Very clean, bright, and kind of quiet. However, the vibe was absolutely delightful as most tables were families and couples who seem to live nearby and come here a lot. We chose the lunch buffet ($12 per person). Food & drinks quality were both great. The free naan was nicely cooked and seasoned. I took off a star because there are not many varieties compared to some restaurants we went before for a Indian lunch buffet and one of the meat dishes I got were kind of cold. Other than those two, we really enjoyed our lunch here!

Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews
