Although it contains many vegetables and was cooked in a coconut sauce, I found the korma to be lacking in any flavor except for hot spice. The mango juice also felt very watered-down. The samosas were very tasty, however, and the paneer naan was also good. I ordered delivery from this restaurant by Uber Eats, and my order was fulfilled very promptly. I was so excited to try a new place after moving here but i was let down massively. To start with there was no hello when walked in a man simply led us to our to a table and gave us water. Then once we were served i realized my rice was literally room temperature. Because the rice was colder it made it hard. Also throughout eating no one checked in on us or the food quality. Instead I was subjected to stares from multiple workers. Even the workers in the kitchen glared at us through the window instead of making quality food. I ate my frankly bland food and watched as workers continued to check in on other patrons and worry about mobile orders. This place had the potential to be so great and I was disappointed. Two good things: Fast Delivery and Good Portions for the Price. Ordered: 1) Samosa chaat-Hardly could taste the Samosa only the Yoghurt and Chickpeas 2) Chicken Tikka Masala(CTM)- Well what do I say! I am so disappointed. I think this is one of the worst CTM's I have ever had. The gravy was undercooked. The pieces of Chicken were boiled and then coated with a dark orange food color and just maybe roasted like for 30 seconds or less. The gravy was not even close to being a CTM gravy. Feel sad I ordered it. If you a are running an Indian restaurant with North Indian dishes , you CANNOT get your CTM so wrong. It is the most common and most loved dishes of all and if your chef cannot get a CTM right time to hire a new one! read more

Ordered takeout today and it was sub par Had the chicken tiki masala Garlic nan Lentil soup Chicken was tender but really lacked in flavor with the sauce Garlic naan tasted nothing like garlic was soft but was deff a bit burnt. First time having lentil soup here. Not sure if this is how it always taste but would not recommend it. Case and point: food was delicious! I wanted a gluten free option so I went with the Chicken Tikka Masala with rice (pretty basic). The portion was spot on: just enough rice and chicken to make it all work. The chicken was fragrant and aromatic, spicy and absolutely delicious. As a nice touch, they include free coffee or tea with lunch. Having a whole lunch for under $9 for this quality was a real treat. I probably average 2 trips here every week, it is my favorite place hands down. Everything I have gotten from their menu has been absolutely amazing but I have settled into a rhythm of getting the vegetable masala and garlic or peshwari naan. Servers are very nice, restaurant is super cozy, takeout always somehow includes the perfect amount of rice. While living in Brookline and then Back Bay til just recently, we often got our Indian fix from either Punjab Palace or India Quality... Both of which I think are owned by the same person, and are reasonably priced and very good! However, since moving to Assembly Row in July, we've been trying out new places closer to us with solid Yelp reviews, and frankly, it's been pretty hit or miss. Therefore, we decided to deal with all the traffic and drive to Kenmore to pick up from India Quality last night, but we weren't real impressed with our food this time. Everything was well packaged and piping hot, even after bringing it home, but the lamb in our Royal Korma was super tough and the sauce itself honestly seemed off... It was much more watery than usual (with thicker, clumpier spots on the actual lamb), and not at all spiced Hot... It was more like Medium at best! The Vegetable Appetizer Platter ($10) was large and worth the money though, and the Aloo Paratha ($6) was also big but not like always... The bread appeared thinner and kept falling apart, but still tasted good with the yogurt dip. We did call the restaurant right away, and I must say that the problem was handled immediately and respectfully... They made no excuses and apologized repeatedly, and refunded us for the entree... I never mentioned the issue with the bread because I already felt bad complaining about the chewy lamb. Anyway, we have to wonder if it was just an off day for India Quality, but we do appreciate how they dealt with it and will probably give them another chance. Really 3.5 stars. read more

I had the goat meal masala and it was amazingly good! It was my first to see goat meal in a menu in USA ( I'm not a local) It came with bones, which was not my problem. I LOVE the chicken tikka marsala from here. I accidentally discovered it when I received a wrong postmates order and ended up eating it because I was so hungry! They give a very decent sized portion to make you feel full. Got it delivered to me for the past two days! Am very obsessed. Hard to believe this place has 4 stars ! To put it bluntly, the food was quite HORRIBLE.. right from the Daal makhni, butter chicken to the chicken biryani. Everything was bland and for some reason they added bell peppers to everything. After spending 25 years in Punjab, this was the first time I saw a Daal Makhni that was green in color. Came here for an early Sunday dinner. The restaurant was quiet and intimate and the service was very prompt and attentive. We started off with the samosa chat which is a must - you get all the samosas and all the sauces, samosas will never be the same! For dinner we split the chana paneer masala dinner special as well as the malai kofta. Both were rich and creamy without being too heavy. We also ordered the bread basket so we could have a sampler of the naan, paratha, and chapati. This was the only let down of the meal, the naan was out of this world whereas the paratha and chapati were pretty flavorless albeit great vessels to scoop up the curry sauce. However for our next visit we will probably just stick to the naan- I'm still drooling just thinking about it! We were so hungry and everything was so good, we didn't even think to take pictures but the presentation is just as good as the food itself. I've been ordering from this restaurant for a while now and it has always been good if not excellent. Today I ordered for delivery my go to Indian dinner. The only change I made was I ordered it "mild". The chicken korma might as well Be your grandmas creamed chicken. Totally tasteless with none of the Korma spices. I called and complained and they delivered the korma again but with medium Spices. It was the same korma without any Indian spices that makes it so delicious only it was spicy. The same was true of the eggplant dish I also ordered. What happened to this restaurant? The naan tasted like it was cooked yesterday, the tamarin sauce was totally watery, the rice was fine. Food is ok. The mango lassi looks like carrot juice. It doesn't look like mango color. And the taste is ok. Not much mango flavor and a bit watery. The worst mango lassi I've ever had. The chicken tikka masala is ok. The flavor is not rich. The worst I've had as well. I mean, the "worst" here means the worst I've tried in all the Indian restaurants. If I don't know they are Indian food, the taste is ok, not horrible. The lamb rogan josh is good though. This place is completely unassuming but totally amazing. We walked here for dinner from the Hynes Convention Center based on a local recommendation, and it was worth the walk. First of all, they have a good selection of Indian beer, which is a good accompaniment to wonderful food. Our group ordered a bunch of dishes to share at the table. I got the lamb vindaloo, which was super spicy and flavorful. My fellow adventurers ended up ordering a mixed grill, which is essentially a combination of all the kinds of meat that they prepare here. It was the highlight, and I immediately had major meal envy. But, we were sharing, so I had plenty of that. I might have had a few too many Old Monk beers that night because I don't remember exactly what my other companion ordered, other than it was amazing and not as spicy as my vindaloo. I feel like this is a dish that you can't go wrong with and the same goes for India Quality's take on it. Its cauliflower, potatoes, & peas in a light sauce with spices. It was mouth was mouth watering as always. We decided to split an order of Malai Kofta & it was amazing. Its cheese balls with vegetables, spices, and nuts in a delicious cream sauce. We couldn't get enough of the l sauce, we found ourselves dipping our naan in it, as to not waste any. Very good food! I'm Indian and I love restaurant style Indian food and this place is great! I always get the malai kofta. It's really yum! Chicken tikka and lamb saag is good too. The naan are only good if you dine in. For some reason the quality of the naan declines with take out, so I usually get trader Joe's garlic naan and warm it up at home when I order food from here.
