Came here for a yelp event! It was my first time having Indian food in over a decade. My food choices are usually bland and boring because I can't handle any spice at all. Was very hesitant if i would eat anything here, but i found things i really liked. This was a nice surprise. Service was great and ambiance was 10/10. It is as beautiful inside as the outside is. A beautiful restaurant for sure.

I do love India and was excited to have lunch there today. I used to get take out from here weekly but after losing my job, I had to cut out takeout from budget. I had a gift card and a friend to join me for lunch. I got the lunch special and iced tea. We had three lunch specials, appetizers, and three nonalcoholic beverages. The lunch special is a great deal! I had the Chana masala lunch special which was tasty and the naan and tomato soup are always good. When the check I didn't look at it and gave them the gift card. They came back over and said they forgot to add the drinks to the bill so just processed it for the new amount. Lowkey that is fine, obviously we should pay for what we ordered. But I also feel like if it's your mistake that you forgot? Weird to just charge.

Expectations blown out water. Booth style seating with warm lights creating a cozy ambiance. Staff incredibly nice and patient when we changed our drink order last minute. Would recommend the mango white wine sangria as it's very refreshing and not too sweet. Food was delicious of course - favorite was the fresh garlic naan and the tikka masala. So glad I found this place and can't wait to bring others here

I am in awe-- not simply because of the beautiful atmosphere and delicious chicken tikka masala, but because I have never visited India Restaurant until today. Though it's been on my Providence bucket list for quite some time now, I'm so lucky I was able to join some Yelpers for a fantastic night here. The serving staff were so attentive and personable! I immediately started contacting friends saying they need to join me here some time. Epic time-- 1000% recommend!

***Door dash order. I've come accustomed to trying Indian food everywhere I go, even when it's a work trip, and I'm too tired to dine in, so I door dash. Didn't make a mistake with India Restaurant (although they could use a better name). I went all in on spice and got the chicken curry vindaloo and hot & spicy vindaloo naan bread. WHAT?! Read that again. It was freaking amazing. I may have been dying from the heat but I'll take the pain of the amazing flavor from this bread any day. Was a ton of food for the price ($26) which is way more than my solo self could devour. Tons of rice, sauce, meat, with a garnish pepper on top. YUM.

- sirloin kebab was incredible!! very well flavored and tenderized to the gods - the cocktails lived up to the hype... i could have had 3 more... - the weekend lunch special was perfect to allow a wide range of options! - the lentil curry that came with the lunch special was unlike any other I had before. so refreshing, yet hearty!! i will get a whole bowl of it next time :p - everything advertised as spicy could have been more spicy (thats a me problem tho) - beautiful patio seating and interior

The best food lies here in Pawtucket at India. The servers are all super kind. I love the cocktail menu and how many options there are! All of the fresh baked breads are delicious! I wish they had a potato dosa here but alaaaaas I still really enjoy everything on the menu thoroughly!

Whilst looking in the area for possible spots to check out throughout visiting RI, I immediately bookmarked the "India Restaurant". Mainly basing on looks, favorites dishes, and menu prices. Parking isn't the best so expect to circle around the "triangle" til you find a spot. Super narrow hallway to enter and also used as an exit. We were given the options of bar seating or outdoor seating since we didn't have any reservations. We chose the bar. Bartender was very nice and friendly. She multitasked with drinks, served out meals, and checked on us. My sister and I ordered familiar dishes. We skipped on naan bread and samosas. That's hard for me because I got to have naan at least with my curries. So we wanted to give it a try plus our dishes were $20.49 each. About $3-$5 more than our norm. Thankfully it included rice and generous portion. We both found our meals to be sort of bland. She got mild and mine was mild/medium spiced. I found myself reaching for salt but only garam masala and spicy chili shakers were available at reach. It was nice to see a switch up from the normal salt and pepper. Salt would have helped our meals. We decided to finish our meals halfway and pack it up. Beautiful restaurant and very clean inside. Restroom was impressive with the all in one sink, cleanliness and thoughtfulness of mouth wash. We wouldn't mind returning as it looked very nice inside but hoping to get better taste out of the menu selection.

Mango curry. The lamb was very fatty this visit. Hoping that was a fluke.

India is part of our 'regular' restaurant rotation. We always get lamb curry of one type or another. Our most recent visit was very disappointing and we hope it's a fluke. As the weather is nice the front wall is open to the front patio letting in the warm weather. We sat inside and they had the aircon blowing. The front patio is seperated from the sidewalk by a wall. The host pointed us to a table to sit at and then brought menu's over. A waitress came by, said something we didn't catch and asked what we wanted. We hadn't decided and she took a drink order. The drinks never arrived. A waiter showed up and asked if we'd like to order a drink. We explained the above, he didn't seem surprised and took care of it. We also ordered food. The lamb in both our dishes was very fatty. We both got tired of fighting for our food, trying to cut around the fat and removing the fatty bits we couldn't chew. I gave up and just left mine behind. My companion took theirs home. Disappointing. Parking is on street. Restrooms are partially automated. Ambiance is casual. Plenty of vegetarian options. Wheelchair accessible.

Amazing!! Went to dinner with my mom at 6:00/6:30 on a Monday night and it had a decent amount of people there, but this place had plenty of space (indoor and outdoor seating) to accommodate and the service does NOT lack because of it :) We ordered the Naan with onion and cilantro topping which was so good and honestly was my favorite part of the meal. I dipped it in the lemon-cilantro chutney, that came with my entree, and it got even better somehow. I got the chicken sheesh kabob (3 kabobs) with came with kale salad, chutney, and basmati rice. The chicken was great and perfectly seasoned. It came with some roasted onions and peppers and grilled pineapple on the kabob as well. Wasn't a fan of the kale salad, but I don't like kale so don't take my word for it. My mom, however, loved the salad! The other entree was tandoori chicken which comes with kale salad, chutney, and she chose zesty potatoes. I thought the potatoes were okay, cooked perfectly though. My mom loved the potatoes, so it's all preference. The tandoori chicken was great as well. It has 1 chili pepper next to it on the menu but it really isn't hot at all. Really great atmosphere and really nice staff. The service was super quick. Would absolutely come here again and definitely recommend!

Chicken kabob Lunch special

We went to have lunch around 3pm . We were greeted and seated promptly by the window . We able to enjoy the comfort of being inside while still having an outside breeze and feel the sun through the opening from the patio. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and the chicken kabobs from the lunch menu . I had the ginger chai and my partner had the mint honey ice tea . Their chai is my favorite drink to order. It's warm and soothing. The ice tea is refreshing and lightens the palette . The lunch specials have a great variety at a good price. Even providing a sweet treat through the almond rice pudding . The kabobs were well seasoned but a little on the dry side . We waited a while for the check but we weren't in any real rush and were comfortable with the inside/outside ambiance.

Together with Kafe Lila, Machines With Magnets is forcing me to reconsider the city of Pawtucket,…read morewhich I had previously thought of as "the place where Slater Mill and the DMV are." Currently I think of Pawtucket as "the place where Slater Mill and the DMV and Kafe Lila and Machines With Magnets are," but if I spend enough time at KL and MWM, my view will undoubtedly become more nuanced. Machines With Magnets is a recording studio, art gallery, and performance space that has fast become my favorite music venue and possibly one of my favorite places in Rhode Island. The inside is beautiful, with two large rooms decked out in cool white paint and beautiful hardwood flooring (one floor is stenciled with an absolutely stunning pattern). Art of varied quality adorns the walls. I have now had the pleasure of attending two shows here--an electronic music performance and Quintron + Miss Pussycat--and I enjoyed them both. Watching bands perform with art as a backdrop is a pleasure. The sound is good and the venue is run fairly efficiently. At the latter show, they quickly cycled through four bands by alternating the rooms in which each band performed. Very smart. The crowds are fun and interesting. Drinks, Dunkin' Donuts coffee, and even pizza are sold for reasonable prices. During my first visit, a friend turned to me and said, "I wish I lived here." "I wish I could DJ here," I replied. Until either of these things happens, I'll be stopping in periodically for more music and art. You should, too.

I was lucky to have tried North when it was open so when I saw the former chefs were preparing the meal for Chef Night, I knew I had to sign up and was so glad I did. The meal was stupendous! The first course was shrimp and corn fritters. The fritters were filled with shrimp and corn and you can visually see the shrimp and corn. It wasn't overly doughy and the sauce was delicious! Chef Andrew described the dish and he told us that the shrimp was locally sourced from Dune Brothers. The second course was noodles with tomato and pepper dashi and grilled fish. The noodles were fresh, but it started to get a little clumpy. The dashi was really flavorful. The third course was miso tres leches cake with sakura whipped cream. This course I was the most excited about and it totally blew my expectations. Chef Andrew told us that they hand picked sakura petals and made their own whipped cream. The tres leches cake was moist, dense, and airy. The dessert was definitely the star of the show. Bravo to chefs Andrew McQuesten and Stephen Sternkopf for a wonderful locally sourced meal. Jean-Marc and the other bartender were also very friendly and accommodating. They checked on all the customers throughout the night and made yummy drinks. I had the Toasted Venture. This is one of the signature cocktails and has Toasted Pumpkin Seed-Infused Misguided Spirits Red Sky Silver Rum/Cynar/St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur/Rosemary Elixir/Mole Bitters. It was very good. A time at Clementine's is always wonderful.
