My Yelp reservation didn't register on their end so we had to wait another 20 minutes BUT the food was well worth it. The restaurant staff were friendly without being annoying, attentive without being overwhelming, by the end of the meal our server was sharing pictures of her family with us. Highly recommend for date night, family parties, or just in the mood for some really good food. The portions are huge, the food is served quickly, and the pistachio chocolate cake is phenomenal. Make sure you ask for off menu specials - that's how we got the naan with cheese on it, which was unreal! Also ask for a side of coconut cream to pour on your rice. The menu looks like typical North Indian food. We came and ordered their weekend brunch Thali and mango lassi. We ordered just the Thali for the two of us. Portion-wise, we both felt satisfied and not bloated. I personally love eating a variety of flavors and dishes in smaller portions, so I enjoyed this type of dish. The yellow curry (tamatar ka shorba) has a lighter flavor. The lamb vindaloo was denoted with "three chili peppers" on the menu. It's spicy like a dab of sriracha-- so depending on your tolerance, it either barely registers or it's very spicy. I did not think the chicken sheesh kabob had enough flavor and found the texture somewhat dry (dry texture isn't a negative because some people like it this way). I thought it wasn't worth the extra $1 to add it to the Thali. I enjoyed the kale salad, because I just like my greens in general, but it's not Indian, and it kind of stands out as an outlier on the plate. The mango lassi seemed to have a large proportion of yogurt (this is a negative). I think it tastes decent, but I'm really biased for mango lassis no matter the quality. This one is probably like a 3/5 for "Ok, I would order again if I have a real need for mango lassi." Ambiance was good and feels casual. The restaurant feels big. The customer service was mediocre. We waited for a long time and then the server came to take our orders again. I didn't mind waiting though because we had great company (4 of us total). Overall, I enjoyed the variety of small dishes, but thought the food was OK. Customer service was OK, but there was a mistake. So overall OK experience-- 3/5 stars rating. read more

We've been here twice in the past few months and it doesn't disappoint! We made a reservation for a Saturday and the restaurant called to confirm in the afternoon (which is a service we appreciate!). I made a reservation for two on OpenTable for a Monday night and was promptly seated at a outdoor table near the entrance. It was the perfect evening for al fresco dining and the space was bright with flower beds behind the tables. Our server came over to us before we were ready to order, there were so many options and it took a while to be able to comb through everything. I decided to get a frozen Mango Daiquiri, which tasted remarkably close to a Mango Lassi. We ordered the Vegetarian Appetizer Combo, which came with two baked samosas, Papri Chaat, and kale cucumber salad. The food came within minutes of ordering and it was the perfect start to the meal as the flavors were fresh and vibrant. For my entree, I got the Karahi Gohst, which is a goat curry served with rice. We also split an order of chili cilantro naan, which was the perfect vehicle to transport curry into my mouth. Some pieces of the goat were on the tougher side and took some effort to chew through, but the flavors were deep and complex. The sides of the thali were also very good and consistent. We also got a side of garlic naan, which was fresh and had a perfect amount of garlic, not overpowering. We also got the lentil and spinach soup, which was disappointing. It was bland and not our favorite. The service was also somewhat disappointing as it was slow. The staff were very nice but it took a long time to place our orders. The ambiance was exquisite, beautiful decor and very good vibes, perfect for a date night or other nice dinner, but also perfect for casual dining. Its was a great find. We were looking for restaurants in Boston but somehow this place showed up with amazing reviews. We thought to give it a try and we are glad that we did. We were amazed by the ambience it had as soon as we entered inside. We got seat immediately. Service was nice. There was a hina artist doing hina for free which happened to be a great time pass for some of us. Food was great. Saag paneer was so good that we had to reorder. Dal makhani was good too. I wasn't a huge fan of the Tamarind Duck or the chai-tini, they were well-prepared I just wasn't into it. The service was good, they accidentally brought us two different wrong appetizers but they fixed it promptly and kindly both times even though it was a busy Saturday night! My fiancé and I got two different plates, vindaloo and masala. They were both okay. I think I would have maybe done back were it not for what happened just before we were leaving . This is a nice dinner place we looked up in Rhode Island - it had good reviews and some creative cocktails on the menu, so typically if an Indian restaurant has creative cocktails - it is unlikely to disappoint. The decor looked good. This was quite packed but the server understood we came from across other states and made it a priority to get us good relatively quieter seating inside. Hadn't been there in ages but used to go for dinner often. Had a girls dinner on friday; my friends were very late but waiter was nice and understanding. I got a free henna tattoo as i waited; they do them on Friday (option of paying getting bigger pieces). We took a long time to order since we were chatting but our waiter understood and didn't rush us. Had issue with one drink being too sweet and bar tender fixed it up right away. Highly recommend the jumbo margaritas. Food came out quickly. I had a salad, so delicious, with a skewer of chicken and one of shrimp, they were a little over cooked but well seasoned. India is a great choice for Indian food on the East Side of Providence. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and can accommodate small and large groups. There's also a very large patio space that is covered with greenery in warmer months. The food is also great. Two of my favorites are the Aloo Paratha and Seafood Mango Curry. The Aloo Paratha is a potato stuffed bread served with yogurt. It's very satisfying as a starter - almost too satisfying, so best to share with multiple people. The Seafood Mango Curry is sweet and has a nice selection and quality of seafood. My family really likes to come here because there are a lot of vegan choices on the menu. Parking right by the restaurant might be a little difficult, but street parking within a 100m radius on the street or on the Boulevard should be easy. read more

They even have a menu for dogs! I think I've tried almost everything vegetarian items on the menu. My favorite app is Aloo Tiki, dish is Tofu Vindaloo extra spicy, and drink is Vindaloo Margarita.
