Solid 3.5 star indian restaurant. Pretty empty during lunch at 1 PM on a Tuesday afternoon. One family in there and 2 other people eating alone. Restaurant was quiet and dimly lit. Food seemed to be on the buffet in full trays and it doesn't seem like anyone touched it. There was a fly buzzing around the buffet wish it was cleaner. The garlic naan was exactly what I'd been craving, the rice was cooked to perfection, and the chicken tikka masala was incredible. I ordered it medium spice, and it was just right rich, flavorful, and nicely thick. The spices were on point. The white linen table dress wasn't present possibly reserved for the dinner service which is when we've visited in the past. Menu 5/5 We took a walk on the wild side, meaning we ventured from or normal order-off the menu go-to's decided to try the Lunch Service Buffet. It was time to checkout other proteins and "flavoFlavs" ! Food 5/5 Provided with the buffet is an order of Garlic/Regulr Naan and multiple trips at the Buffet. My Wife 1st trip was for the Goat Marsala and Rice, I tried the butter and mixed vegetable Marsala and jasmine rice. Absolutely amazing flavors and delicious! One of our friends is from India and when my husband and I lived in NYC, we ate Indian food frequently. We wasted over $100 on the worst Indian food we ever tried. We threw it out and went to Uncle Sal's, our go-to emergency spot. It was Saturday night so there was no excuse for serving such horrible food. Everything looked and tasted the same. We couldn't tell the difference between cauliflower, potatoes, eggplant or chicken. Mysterious, overcooked chunks were swimming in oil. Tomato based sauce tasted the same as butter sauce and tandoori flavors. BaganBartha looked like green vomit. Other dishes looked like diarrhea that had sat on a steam table since their lunch buffet. There were no discernable nuts or raisins in the Biyrani. We asked for Mango chutney but they couldn't find it. We asked for mild to medium heat level but it was as hot as the hottest Vindaloo we've ever eaten. To top things off, they asked us to call back in 5 minutes to order because the cash register was broken. Seriously? On a Saturday night? We should not have called back and we won't be back. ICK. This is my first time ever visiting this place Food was ok, taste was not as good. the buffet didnt have a variety of what an indian buffet usually have and half it empty was not replenished and couldn't eat my favorite chicken masala because they did not replenish it and the little pieces that I got was not as good as I know it can be. I visited today and wasn't impressed. service was not good. not friendly. they did not like it when I would ask if they can replenish the food because there hardly anything to grab. they told me to sit down when I asked for naan. in other places they are constantly replenishing food and asking if you want more naan. This Indian restaurant is still a 5 star for me. Here's an updated review since it has been a few years! Did an early Valentine's Day lunch buffet and as always the food was delicious. A few items had a bit of a kick. A buffet is a great choice to try several dishes that might be new to you! There was a fried cabbage dish that I had not tried before. Chicken seemed to be the main meat offering in many of the dishes, so if you want something not chicken related, the main menu might be a better choice. Came here for the first time for Phoenix restaurant week and I liked the different variety of vegan and non vegan options. I really enjoyed the aloo matar, it was very flavorful. I got the spice level of 5 and I personally didn't think it was spicy so if you like spice I would recommend a higher level. I've been coming here for close to 20 years. After a few years of not wanting to make the drive we returned. No more ground lamb although I would not rate them on it, zero spice in any of the dishes, another thing I would not ding for. The problem, every hot dish at the buffet was well below what it should be kept at. Thinking it was a fluke, Friday 2/20/26 we went back with a friend at 11:55am. No reason for any dish to not be hot as everything should be freshly made. They were still way to cool. If it was 4 pm, I would be concerned. Keeping meat dishes this cool is not good. On top of that, nothing had the usual Indian spice level you expect. Chicken had the tough from being cooked the day prior feel. I worked Taco Bell in high school, we got internal random weekly audits on top of gov't, We would have been drilled for keeping meat/beans this cool. There are much better Indian restaurants. I ordered Delhi Palace online as I didn't want to go out this evening. I've eaten their buffet before and it was ok. I love Indian food and have eaten it throughout my life. This may be the worst Indian I've had. Either frozen, or several day old pakora. Popadums look and taste like packaged. Butter chicken's overriding flavor is salt. Naan bread was flat and bland. The restaurant was pretty slow with only one other table. Service was quick and nice. The food was very yummy. We asked for medium spice and it was hot but good. I do wish more rice was given especially since just the buttered chicken was $18, I was hoping for a little more of a serving. Overall the experience was good and I would come back. I had my birthday party there last night and everyone had a great time. Some of us did not know Indian food well and some of us have loved it for years, but all of us agreed that every dish was delicious. The staff was very friendly and our server impressed us all by getting all eight orders exactly eight, including spice levels! Over priced for such a limited selection buffet. Price has doubled since Covid. Having eaten here for many years, with a three year absence, I was disappointed in the reduce selection. The tandory chicken, nann and curried lentils were still good, however the varied meats in the same curry sauce and watered down Palak Paneer were disapointing. Whenever we're in the mood for Indian food, we usually like to go to a buffet so we can try different things. Indian Dheli Palace is one of the best Indian buffets in Phoenix they have an ample selection of both vegan and non vegetarian entries, the chicken curry, and Tikka Masala were delicious I liked the garlic Naan and Tandoori chicken. They keep the buffet replenished, so it's fresh and flavorful and a bargain at $16.95. The restaurant is beautiful, and they even have a market where you can purchase Indian food and spices. read more

My tandori chicken was raw in the inside and the salad was far from fresh. The service is very bad they take for ever to serve and they are pretty distracted. I did spoke to what seems to be the manager at the time and he just smile. The ambiance is not the same. I was very excited to try this place. It was referred to me by a friend of mine who visits regularly. He gave me a $80 gift card so that I may take my family to try their Sunday brunch buffet Every thing was going great until i was denied my gift card. The host swiped the card on his machine and quickly said to me that there was no money on the gift card. I asked if he could check again and or call someone for help and he denied my request. After paying for the meal and went to the car and scanned the code on the back of the card ... to my surprise it showed that there was $80 on it. I went back and showed him proof and all I got was a shrug and was told to come back another time to try again. This left a sour taste in my mouth that made me forget the rest of my experience. I have been going to this Indian buffet lunch for several years. The last two times some of the hot food dishes were room temperature and the place looked a little grungy. Some of the tables had used plates the whole time I was there. The bathroom also needed some attention. To add insult to injury, there was a price increase.
