Located across from London Drugs we were able to find street parking after a few times around the lock. We were seated quickly but did notice by 8 pm the place. Was packed. they had a lot of to go orders. The venue has a lot to choose from. We had were very good. They have lamb chicken vegetarian items. Service was quick and items were piping hot. Dishes actually were steaming. We had a ton of fish which was moist and some curry. Please note chutney is a separate charge. We heard great things about this North Vancouver restaurant and decided to give it a try. The store front is very unassuming. When you walk in, the décor and atmosphere are new, modest and very clean. It doesn't take long for the restaurant to fill up and the patrons to start lining up to pay for take out or door dash drivers to arrive nonstop. Once the food arrives and you have your first few bites, you understand why this is an outstanding restaurant for Indian food. The food is superb and among the best Indian food restaurants we have found in the lower mainland. We have a few standard dishes we like to try when going out for Indian food to provide a fair comparison. The server came to our table immediately, was quite friendly and helpful. We ordered, the butter chicken, aloo gobi, palak paneer, tikka masala lamb, nan bread, papadum, mango chutney and plain naan bread. Our food came out quite quickly and everything was piping hot. The butter chicken was incredibly tender, with a mouth-watering sauce cooked in "ginger, garlic, fenugreek and cream". It was outstanding, a 10/10! The aloo gobi was made with fresh cauliflower, mixed with potatoes, coriander, tomatoes and Indian spices and it was delicious as well. 10/10! Palak Paneer (creamy spinach, "home made cheese" and spices) was also wonderful. 10/10! The lamb fell apart in your mouth and the sauce were also delicious! 10/10 The papadum and naan bread were perfectly done, served hot/fresh and paired well for dipping in the various sauces. This has to be some of the best Indian food I've had! The naan was cooked to perfection. For an appetizer we started out with the onion bhajia, the sauces it came with were a fun twist. We got the Lamb Tikka Masala, Chicken Palak, and the Butter Chicken. Everything was delicious, but the Chicken Palak was the favorite. We were there on a weeknight around 6pm, and the staff was attentive and very helpful. It's a very hip place that's conveniently located. read more

Wow, the food here and the authentic Indian spices they're cooked in is insanely good! I wanted to try a little of everything so I got the Mixed Grill as it comes with tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, tandoori prawns, tandoori fish and lamb tikka. My friend got Chicken Tikka Masala and we split some Garlic & Basil Naan. I was blow away by how rich and tasteful my food way. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the lamb tikki because it was pretty tough to chew, almost like jerky. But everything else tasted delicious! The garlic & basil naan was heavy with garlic, very heavy. But since I like the stuff, I didn't mind. My friend really enjoyed his Chicken Tikka Masala. He got the most mild version and it still had a distinct spicy kick but was manageable for him(he was sharing with me). If you're sensitive to spicy foods though, even the mild version may still be too much for you. The creamy base paired really well with the naan and we both utilized that as well with our meals. We also shared the Rasmalai because I had never tried it and we both loved it! It's a unique texture that's hard to pinpoint because it definitely does not taste like cheese. It's almost like a sponge cake. And resting on a semi thick base of milk with the nuts on top made it cold and sweet and wonderful. Overall I had a great experience here. I will say it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive after we ordered. We arrived a little before 6pm on a Saturday night and the restaurant was about 80-90% full but we were able to be seated without waiting. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat and probably order the Mixed Grill again just because I loved the variety but ask if they would be able to sub out the lamb tikka for maybe a double order of chicken tikki. Mediocre experience with underwhelming food preparation, especially with it accompanied by the evil eye from a rude staff member. More on that later. The food was generally good quality ingredients, and I loved how they used all white meat chicken breast in most chicken dishes. However, some of the flavor profiles were just off, and some dishes were very oily and greasy. The food just wasn't prepared well. Also, some of the tomatoes in the salad were not ripe, and the dressing was not balanced or tasty. They couldn't make a spinach dish without cream, so it seemed that some dishes were not prepared fresh and that they were pre-made The restaurant is clean, as was the restroom, yet it is a cramped space with so many tables squeezed in some places. It felt like the people next to us were eating on top of us. The air conditioning didn't work well, or they waited just until they opened to turn it on, and it was freezing in some parts of the restaurant. It's not a good experience. While the lady who served us was nice in general, some guy behind the bar was silent and rude when we paid, with no thank you. When we left, we got ka nasty silent stare and no words, and again, no thanks or farewell. The rest of the day, we did not feel well, as the food just wasn't prepared well, and in the end, I felt sorry we had gone here. It did not live up to the seemingly inflated online ratings. I was tempted to give 1 star, especially with the rudeness and poor cooking. I'll give 1 extra star just for using chicken breasts in many dishes, as many restaurants go cheap and don't. read more

It was really busy when we arrived but we made a reservation so we didn't have to wait. The service was rushed and our table was changed from a window table to one at the far inner end of the restaurant. Despite asking for a table by the window, we were asked to move because they were catering for a group and had to merge tables by the window. The food was good - lamb was moist and tender and had some good flavour. The spinach/cottage cheese was okay; it tasted a little bitter but the portion was very generous. Their garlic & basil naan bread and gulab jamun was the best. I don't normally eat Indian sweets because of the high sugar content but this was so good - moist dough balls in warm syrup. Surprisingly, it didn't taste too sweet. Overall, good food and affordable prices. Servers were rushing from one table to the next and the feeling we got was we needed to hurry up and leave once we were done eating. We visited after movie for a nice bottle of wine and variety of pakoras, and we had a blast!!! Extremely delicious and generous quantities for the price. As a Celiac and also being dairy intolerant, it's difficult to find meals to go but I've spoken to the kind people at the counter a few times and they have always recommended a few items. Now I've ordered a number of times and I'm kind of addicted to my favourite dish so it's a once or twice a month thing. Indian Fusion is in our top 3 takeout places in North Van! We always order their butter chicken, palak paneer, garlic naan and rice pulao. You get a large amount of food in this order and there's always leftovers for the next day or two. Sometimes their butter chicken is not very consistent (could be very watery, or not strong enough in taste) and I think that's due to how busy they are and if you got the bottom of the batch or a fresh batch that hasn't had time to build up flavours. As someone who can't really handle spicy foods well, I'm able to order Medium spice and enjoy the fine line between uncomfortably hot and a nice kick. Yes, sometimes the wait can be quite long for takeout so I always call ahead to place the order and then wait another 5-10 minutes on top of that so I don't have to wait outside that long. read more

Came here a few weeks ago and these guys secured a customer for life. Dope atmosphere and....mouthwatering food. Gordon Ramsey would be proud. The food here tastes like it was cooked with passion. I have no idea why Indian food in Canada completely $hits on the indian food in the states. I've lived in the eastcoast and now I live in the westcoast and I can never get even near this type of quality of food. Simple tikka masala in the states is just a creamy mess that lacks inspiration, whereas places like Indian Fusion in vancouver or Didar in Montreal serve you Tikka masala with fresh ingredients, spices and robust flavor. You could tell the difference by simply looking at it. My only gripe with Indian Fusion is the pricing. Orders don't come with rice which is a bit annoying. But the food is so damn good that i forgive it. This place is a must anytime I'm in Vancouver. read more

I live in East Van and rarely come to North Vancouver but after today I will drive here just to eat at this restaurant. Lots of gluten-free options, but you really need to ask as it's not indicated on the menu. Onion Bhajia ($5.95) fusion style onion rings -If you are looking for onion rings, these are OK. Aloo Kulcha ($3.45) naan stuffed with potatoes, peas, and a blend of Indian spices -Where's my potato? When I got the bill, I realized they gave me ONION Kulcha instead of what I ordered. Onion Kulcha ($3.25) naan stuffed with diced onions, cumin, spices, and fresh cilantro -Mostly tasted the diced onion. Where's the contribution from the other stuff? Dal Makhani ($11.95) black lentil stewed on a slow fire overnight, garnished with cream and coriander -Gluten-free vegetarian curry. -Like a tasty-spicy curried version of a thick lentil soup. Really tasty! Chai ($2.25) -One cup of not very spicy or sweet chai. Nothing special or yummy here. Pass. Overall the curries are good! And portion is maybe twice what you get from places that use the shallow boat ceramic dish, so price for portion seems also very good. So after many lunch special visits, I ventured out on an evening date here. Love this place even more now! It was cosy and warm with dim lighting and slightly foggy windows, and that delicious aroma wafting about. Romantic vibe for sure :) Curious to try the dinner menu I had the shahi paneer, pulao, and roti. It was all mouth watering! My husband ordered the lamb vindaloo which was so tasty but could've been spicier. Everything is presented nicely, this place is classy. My first time visit was about four months ago, and I re-visit once a month. I have tried their Tandoori Chicken (big thumbs up), Regular Naan, Garlic&Basil Naan, Butter Chicken, Korma, Palak Paneer, and Cheese Chilli. Medium spiciness is perfect for me (sometimes a bit too spicy, but I like that flavor). I personally think Regular Naan and rice are perfect match for curry. Other types of Naan are too heavy to go with curries because their curries have rich flavors in them already (Garlic&Basil Naan still tasted good by itself). Butter Chicken and Korma were very creamy which are my favorites. Cheese Chilli was not the creamy type and had sour flavor in it. I did take-out for the first time today. Naan wasn't as fresh (of course) but still tasted good. I will continue visiting and try out other dishes! read more
