Over the last 4-5 years this is consistently hands down the very best Indian food in the Burlington, Woburn, Reading, Wilmington area. The owners are a truly kind, caring, hard working family who put their hearts into creating authentic N Indian food, they are also very conscious of the quality of ingredients (and offered dairy free options and Nut free options consistently but please recheck with them if you order and have allergies). My wife is a Celiac and we were always blown away at how when we communicated the Gluten allergy the couple were...All in all Indian Spice gets my very highest recommendation, as an authentic Indian vegetarian restaurant. This place was great! Ordered during quarantine and they had their -ish together! You can pay over the phone prior to picking up, and when I popped inside to grab my takeout order (be sure to wear a mask to go in), there it was sitting out on a table with my name on it - right in front of the door, and further away from the staff. Made complete sense, and I felt safe grabbing food from IndianStyle. My mom and I got the veggie tikka masala which comes with rice - it was excellent. We ordered it medium and it had a nice spice but nowhere near overpowering so that you couldn't enjoy every bite. The sauce was delicious, and carrots, broccoli, other greens, were plentiful. On the side, we also got garlic naan bread which came with two large pieces (enough for four humans) and the Mixed platter appetizer which came with one samosa, one aloo tiki, and four pakora. The pakora was AWESOME - my first time having it (trying to branch out more with my Indian food), it was crisp and the spices inside were wonderful. I'm not a huge samosa fan in general so skipped that, and the aloo tiki was also my first go around, I didn't necessarily love it, but also a patty filled with potatoes isn't my jam in general. All in all, the customer service was great, food warmed my soul, and I would certainly return! Do note it is entirely vegetarian here but they do have gardien options that imitate meat. While visiting family, I ordered the vegetarian vindaloo, which came with basmati rice and was cooked in a delicious, spicy tomato sauce. I love this little restaurant for its authentic punjabi taste. They do have a small place to dine in (not sure about COVID situation, call and check) but I always ordered to go. I have been to this place more than 20 times, but I have tasted only 2 items because they are soooo good! Makke di roti sarson da saag and chhole bhature. I have not found these dishes with such authentic Indian taste anywhere else in the Boston area or MA. Their menu also has lot of dishes with veg chicken (?!). But I never tried them, because I am not a vegetarian. Why order veg chicken when you can eat real chicken! I highly recommed this restaurant for chhole bhature, makke di roti and sarson da saag. Yikes! I wanted to like this place more than I did. The good: prices are fair and there are plentiful options! Highly recommend the chai and salted lassi (free lassi with check-in!) And the naan and rotineere freshly warm and buttered. Yum. The bad: the curries are just OK. I found the paneer Tikka masala to be too sour/tangy and the bhaigan tasted more of turmeric than eggplant. The UGLY: this place has a problem with bugs! Yikes yikes yikes! I placed a delivery order via the Yelp app. The food was delivered as requested, without any items missing. The food was delivered in 30 minutes of when I placed the order (I live within 2 miles, so that is an advantage too) and it was piping hot! A lot of times the food gets cold by the time it is delivered, but not when it is made by IndianStyle. I could tell that the food was freshly made to order. The paneer tikka masala was delicious and so was the Aloo Parantha. I will, however, not say good things about Makki Ki Roti. It was more on the dry side and I don't think i will order it again. Makki ki Roti is very tricky to make and is the main reason why most of the restaurants in India don't have it on the menu. Nothing can beat home made Makki ki Roti prepared by mum :-) Otherwise, the customer service and food was great and the prices are just right. I requested the food be made spicy and I am so happy they obliged. A little bit of heat elevates the flavor level, IMO. Can't wait to try more dishes! First, let me start with the concept. Fast, vegetarian, vegan-friendly Indian restaurant, takeout and delivery. They also have fast walk-in choices which offers you to make your own combination plates at a very reasonable price. The concept is as good as it gets for me, I'd love this concept right near my house. The restaurant itself is small, they have maybe 4 or 5 seats at the window and a picnic table outside. Their focus is on the takeout, delivery and what they call "walk in" with the various pick-your-own combo plate options. I called and asked a lot of questions about the menu and they were very patient, their menu is very well laid out and I really like how they clearly note vegan items and for folks who need gluten free options, those are clearly marked too. My food was ready quickly (less than 15m). I learned they previously had run Indian restaurants in Somerville and prior to that in Newton. I drove a decent distance to this location, it is not near my house. I happened to find it because of their Grand Opening Ad on Yelp, they were offering 20% off so I decided to give them a try since my wife/I really enjoy Indian food. Now the most important part of any restaurant is how the food tastes and I thought the food was good. It was not a home run by Indian restaurant standards, but it was adequate. I think the food gets about a 3 and the staff and concept of the restaurant get a 5, which I averaged out to a 4. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars across the board and I truly hope they have a wildly successful business, but if I take away the fact that I love any vegetarian / vegan-friendly Indian restaurant and focus solely on how the food was compared to other Indian restaurants, it was average for me. It was better than some Indian restaurants, but a home run for me is a Baingan Bhartha where the smoke flavor from the eggplant is very pronounced and this didn't meet that bar. As far as other food we tried, the Aloo Gobi was decent. The appetizers were OK, the Pakoras were OK (more mushy than fried) and the Aloo Tiki wasn't really my cup of tea. read more

Dang. This place is the jam. For vegetarians, vegans, and lovers of Indian food alike, I am stoked we found Indian Style tucked away in the Billerica/Burlington line. The menu is vast, so it can be daunting as a first-timer. Luckily, I don't think you can really go wrong, so you have that working for you. The food stands out as authentic, unique, and fresh offerings made with patience and care. Everything we had was hot, delicious, and made to order. As a vegetarian spot, your main dishes feature paneer, beans/legumes/vegetables, or veggie chicken (Gardein). From here, you can get seemingly endless combinations of bowls and wraps. My personal favorite is the chilli paneer khati. It is authentic hand-held street food full of flavor. The garlic naan was probably the best I've ever had; thin, crispy and brushed with garlic butter. Other yummy dishes we tried were the paneer tika masala and the chana paneer bowl (with basmati). Again, all 3 dishes were unique, even with paneer as its main star. They are supposed to be expanding in the next month or so to accommodate more of a sit-down audience and some new dishes. I can't believe that I have not written a review for this place. This, in my opinion is one of the great places in the greater Boston area to eat authentic north indian food. Me and my husband are regulars here. Till now, since the place was small, we would mostly prefer takeout. But now they are going to extend the place so that would not be an issue. They have great portion sizes for the price they charge. Their Spinach Kofta, Shahi Paneer, Paneer wrap, Chole Bhature is great. And do I really need to mention Makai di roti and Sarson da Saag (Weekend only)? Restaurant owners are so warm and friendly. One of the worst Indian restaurants around. I suggest going to Woburn if you want authentic Indian food. My friends described IndianStyle food as "home cooked food", but honestly, it's worse; I don't know how it has almost 5 stars rating... Home cook food isn't supposed to taste like prison food. Waste of money. I got mango lassi, roti, dal makhani and veg chicken korma. Roti was below average. Mango Lassi was absolute crap (watery lassi made from canned mango pulp). As for Dal Makhani, it was watery and loaded with chili pepper. I don't mind spicy food, but it is supposed to be in balanced with other spices. In this sabzi, I couldn't taste any salt, garlic, tomatoes, ghee, butter and other ingredients. I was surprisingly disappointed considering this is a famous Panjabi dish. I honestly had to spit out the food. It was that bad!!! I didn't even bother tasting Veg. Chicken Korma after eating Dal Makhani. I usually don't write reviews unless a restaurant is really good or really bad. I hope this review can help some poor fellow falling into the same trap. Spend that $30 or so elsewhere. read more

But the Aloo Gobi that I got was absolutely delicious, I was thrilled that they had Gluten-Free Roti as an option, and my favorite carrot pudding dessert! I will give this place a 5-start just because it is simple. As soon as i entered the place and was ordering my food at the front desk i felt the hospitality that you don't see generally in a restaurant style setting. A hole in the wall kind of place with a beautiful smile on the face filled with innocence and it shows up in the food they serve too. OK enough of praises coming to the food, its a fast food style setting but if you wanna work out a lunch/dinner out of this place you absolutely can. On our first visit here we ordered mixed platter that came with aloo tikki, samosa and 4 pakoda- all of them fried perfectly with abundance of taste and chutneys to go by the side . We also got the chilli paneer roll and paneer tikka roll which were done perfectly. Oh did i mention that you will get a free indian style drink (lassi's/tea) on yelp check-in. We got the sweet lassi which is homemade yogurt with organic sugar. There are weekend specials as well where you can mix and match paratha, rice and curries. One thing i am looking forward to on my next visit is the sarson ka saag with makki roti which is available only on weekends and is a north-indian delicacy that i am looking forward to with the winter ahead:). read more
