Amazing lunch at Green Beautiful. We got the VOID burger ("chicken"), UnBeetable burger, and seitan steak bowl. Would get all again. This place is definitely on our favorites list now - not just vegan favorite, but an all-round favorite. The guy taking orders was super helpful answering questions, and everything was cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself was decorated in a fun way, comfortable, and even had a little shop corner with funky jackets and a few other items. Even the bathroom was fun. Parking was on street unless we missed something. That and the slightly out of the way location are the only drawbacks, but by no means prohibitive. We're definitely going back. You can get catering here, too, which is actually how I got to know about this place. We went to an event at the museum that used them and the food was a hit. It's a great idea for catering if you have people with mixed dietary needs who still want a variety of tasty food. read more

Had a good time at the Green Beautiful. Friendly servers and a great atmosphere. Didn't order any food but the coffee drink we ordered was tasty. They had a wide variety of comfy seating (lots of tables, chairs, and couches) and lots of plugs too, in case you needed to get some work done. Was a little cold in there, but it's also wintertime as I write this, so that's understandable. Went to the bathroom and saw a stack of Plan B pills in there, with a map of where to get more, which my wife and I weren't fans of. Overall a good place, and I'm sure a lot of people will love it. I just personally wouldn't come back because I don't agree with all their values. read more

First time coming to The Green Beautiful on our way to Vermont. Don't let the neighhood scare you away. This place is a true gem with the best vegan food in the area! The cafe itself is cute and everything is made absolutely delicious and from scratch. I ordered the Pulled BBQ sandwich which was sweet, tangy, savory. Homemade chips were so crispy and well seasoned. My husband ordered the Philly Cheese Steak. I could not try it because it contains cashews but my husband loved it! Everything about this place makes me happy. The food is delicious, the staff is beyond welcoming, and the restaurant itself feels like you are welcomed into someone's home. The Green Beautiful is a neighborhood vegan cafe serving breakfast and lunch, located at the corner of Wilson and Silver Streets in Manchester. The place uses local suppliers offering a variety of baked goods, sandwiches, wraps, salads, bowls, hash, bagels (Bagel Alley), hot & iced coffee & tea drinks (A&E and White Heron). There are grab & go items in the cooler including sandwiches, salads, and cold drinks. The place has seating areas in the front of the cafe and also offers takeout and online ordering too. I stopped in a couple times for food takeout. On the first visit, I got here around 3:15 pm, but the kitchen closes at 3 pm and I had to pick from a very limited selection of sandwiches and salads from the cooler and breakfast sandwiches from the heated glass case. I got a breakfast sandwich ($5.95 plus tax) and a cold Tempeh BLT ($7.25 plus tax). The breakfast sandwich was very dry and tough to eat which had seitan, cheese, and "egg" on a toasted English muffin. The Tempeh BLT was decent which had tempeh bacon, tomato, lettuce, garlic aioli on soft white sourdough bread, which I had to put in the toaster before eating. I returned several days later in time when the kitchen was still open. I ordered a Cuban Rice Bowl ($11 plus tax) and a Mac & Cheese Bowl ($12 plus tax), which was made fresh to order and packed to go with utensils. I enjoy those bowls when I got home. The Cuban Rice Bowl had soft white rice, topped with mojo marinated mushrooms, tostone chips, black beans, tomato salsa, cilantro garlic aioli. The Mac & Cheese Bowl had soft elbows with coconut "bacon" cashew cheddar, and fresh chives. Both bowls I ordered were very good and fresh. I would recommend sticking with the freshly prepared vegan food. read more

We went for the first time today to this all vegan hole in the wall and had the Philly cheesesteak and a bbq bowl, both of which were very tasty. Substituted the cilantro garlic aioli on the bbq and that was delicious. Good coffee too. We liked it so much that we ordered takeout to take home for dinner. They thoughtfully deconstructed the cheesesteak sandwich and the Void (seitan chicken patty on a roll) and put all of the amazing sauces, carmelized onions, and roasted peppers in little separate containers so that the bread wouldn't get soggy. Just had those for dinner. So many great sounding things on the menu yet to try. Their seitan is great and everything is freshly homemade. The staff is friendly and the ambience is nice and homey. We live over an hour away, but will definitely go back for more. read more

We visited from Rhode Island on our way to a place in NH. First, parking isn't great. The neighborhood is scary and I used to live in Central Falls RI (let that sink in) The menu was on the smaller side which we knew, I had a Caesar Salad without croutons/ capers and my friend got a sandwich. My salad was TINY for ten dollars... I was shocked when it came out. I was even more confused when I noticed there was no romaine in the salad. It was just weird stringy greens. It says on the menu chopped romaine and seasonal greens. The dressing was good. It just wasn't what was advertised and it wasn't work 10 dollars. Later in the day we went to a different vegan restaurant and I got a giant Caesar salad with the romaine for less. My friend wasn't crazy about her sandwich either, just wasn't flavorful. The worker who helped us was super nice and I have no complaints about service or anything. It just wasn't for us and that's OK. I think if you order something it should be what's listed on the menu though. read more

This is an amazing full-vegan food spot in Manchester, NH. I've tried a majority of the items on their menu, and they are all super great. My favorite menu item is the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, but their other sandwich options are all winners too. The Void, a fried chick'n sandwich, is also pretty magical (buffalo sauce can be added too). My non-vegan friend loved the cheesesteak as well. It is a great place to eat if you have food allergies as they take extra care to ensure your food is safe! The specialty coffees are off the charts yummy, try the smores latte when you go! I was super excited to find a vegan place in Manchester! For people that have a dietary restriction, It really takes the guessing part out of ordering at a restaurant. I had a matcha latte and a bagel with maple bacon "schmear," which is just tofu-based fake cream cheese. I didn't love the cream schmear, since I thought it was too salty, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a good bagel this far from NYC. The matcha latte was also very good. The cashier was very polite and happy to explain some menu items to me. The inside of the place is also super cute. There's a variety of seating to pick from, from couches to high top stools to regular dining tables. The atmosphere is quite cozy and clean, definitely modern. If you're looking for a good bagel--or just something vegan--this is definitely a great place to go. read more

After a slightly uneasy drive through the quiet residential neighborhood served by the Green Beautiful (whose hostess would later claim was in the process of being gentrified), my wife and I parked and entered the small vegan eatery. The hostess was very helpful, directing us to the vegan Mac & cheese on the menu after I'd asked what could be ordered oil free, and informing us about the eatery's screening of Cowspiracy later that evening. My wife and I both ordered the mac & cheese with gluten free macaroni (I asked that the coconut 'bacon bits' be held on mine, as they were prepared in oil). We perched ourselves upon some stools at a high table that ran along the big eatery window looking out upon the neighborhood and were served promptly. The vegan Mac & cheese hit the spot on that cold January afternoon--the cashew cheddar was tasty and the chives added a zesty zing to an otherwise standard gustatory staple, although the dish was a little salty. (We skipped the showing of Cowspiracy, since I realized after a quick Google search that I'd already seen it.) read more
