This shop had lots of great vintage clothing and accessories. It is not overly stuffed with items and everything is arranged in an artistic and esthetically pleasing way. It's located on the basement of St John's Episcopal Church (across the street from the Shaws). The have ample off street parking and the basement entrance does have stairs. The prices were all very reasonable and every piece they have available is in perfect condition and season appropriate. They accept cash (check and cards are also accepted for purchase over $20). I was able to purchase nearly $75 of clothing and accessories for $26 and the money goes right back to the sellers and the community. Please support this consignment shop and the team of women of who run and sell the items.

i just cant hold this in... i took 16 items to encore mid nov 2025... went bk in dec.. actually…read morepurchased a sweater xmas print wrap... they wer closed the month of Jan 2026 went in Feb...not one of my items were there... said i dont have a check.... then she said items after 60 days they own... i said its only been 30 days where did the clothes go? she then said well sometimes people do take things... wow .... i gave encore very good items some not even worn...then rec: a call said you did sell one item but under 10$ you dont get a check... i said i feel your way of consigning is very unorganized... post notes a box of index cards .. all the elder volunteers are sweet but no one has or had a clue ..about my clothes...its more like a Bingo hall... i agree with Katie very outdated i felt like i was in the twilight Zone...all useless excuses...my clothes just disappeared!!! lesson learned... next time i will just donate to my church. I saw Luca Boutique and a product they had that I was very interested in advertised a local listing…read moresite. So I emailed the owner before I made my one hour trip to Warren, RI for a stroller. I confirmed her hours and that she still had it the day before. I did leave out that I was driving an hour, didn't think that info was needed. I arrived to a beautifully decorated store, I have to say it's really nice inside and looks very upscale. I checked some of the clothing out and prices, everything was in pretty good condition but a little over priced for my taste on used clothing. I then approached the owner about the stroller I had emailed her about and she was like "Oh the Quinny, yeah, I was just about to give that back to the owner. It won't fold and I can't sell it like that". So you couldn't just shoot me an email and save me the trip; I mean seriously, that's the right thing to do. I guess that common courtesy never occurred to her. The stroller wouldn't fold, we didn't know if it was broken or she just didn't know how to fold it. The stroller itself was in really raggedy condition anyway. She did mention on more than one occasion that it had been there since January when she opened, wasn't selling, and that the owner just told her to sell it for whatever you can get for it. We offered her $75 less than what she was asking for a four year old beat up, stained up, stroller with a chipped up and banged up frame that wouldn't fold. She refused and said that she needed to talk to the owner fist. Either way, pending what the owner said, she said she would meet me half way into my trip to deliver it. This was before she found out I was an hour away. She did email me a day later and tell me the owner came in and folded it up no problem so it was all good. She never did offer to drive it thirty minutes one way like she originally said. I've since found one in much better condition for just about the same price. Luca boutique is over priced, even their uppababy stroller was over what the going used rate is. Maybe because the store looks fancy the owner believes it's ok to overprice used items. The owner doesn't know what she is doing and is clearly new in this business. I sadly don't recommend Luca boutique.

I'm not about to clean a brand new necklace I said. She went and took it on herself to clean it. I walked outside of The store looked at it still tarnished went back in and she cleaned it a second time. On my way home now looking at it in the sunlight and still it is gold and silver. They must have invented a time machine taking me back to a time when men dressed like…read moregentlemen--pocket squares and all, people carried journals to document their travels overseas, and all men wore beautifully crafted round glasses, before hipsters claimed them as their own. Everything here is beautifully curated, from the clothes to the random knick knacks strewn about the store. It is definitely a place that pays homage to the best parts of a bygone era. You can browse racks of blazers, ties, uniquely bright patterned linen shirts crafted in India (crafted in a material that designers no longer use, apparently), and feel as if you jumped in a time machine and landed in a well-dressed man's walk-in closet in the 1950s. I flipped through pages of someone's old travel journal, documenting their trip by sea to Europe. All in cursive, there was a page that struck out at me: "CAPTAIN'S AUTOGRAPH: E.C. Wiggle". This place is a gem. I now know what I would name my future dog, for sure:). This place is one part vintage heaven, one part history lesson, all parts My Favorite Store In All Of Portsmouth.
