I love cooking more Eastern style food at home. Some of these ingredients are not found in the traditional NH grocery stores. I went there a second time last week, and I will be coming back whenever I need supplies in Manchester. Some of the things I get here, are the black chickpeas(channa), besan(chickpea flour) for pakoras (gluten free too), large size bags of restaurant quality garam masala, paneer(India cheese), Kashmiri chili powder, and many, many more things. Indian food is not the easiest cuisine to learn, but is super delicious, and has many healthy ingredients. Don't get me wrong I love chicken tikka masala, and lamb saag etc, but I often make curried chickpeas (channa masala) and they are great leftover cold on salad, or in a wrap with some rice, and yogurt/sour cream etc. They also have some frozen delights for those wanting something for a quick meal. They also have some produce, and hard to find items. It is also right across the street from Market Basket, and that one has a good selection, of hispanic, and Mediterranean ingredients, plus everything else you would expect.

This was one of the first asian/Indian stores opened in the Saratoga County by the Sihal family who owned another grocery store and a restaurant location in Albany county. The management has recently changed. You do get to buy stuff that you wouldn't find at Walmart or a local grocery store that are used in a South Asian household. My family goes there every Thursday as they get fresh vegetables and meat. The vegetables are purchased in NYC and brought here. You get the green chilis that are spicier than the one in your local store....I addition you get to buy tropical fruits jack fruits, green pumpkin, lychee and guava. I go there for my Mukwas (mouth freshener...soamp), Thums up (Indian soda) and mango kulfi.

They actually seem to have a wider selection of dry goods than Parivar on Central, including some Lebanese brands as well as Swaad and the other Indian standbys. And, a summer-long search for fresh okra, I found two different varieties; the proprietor explained that one is supposed to be less slimy than the other. The way you buy your meat here is to place an order through a window, which doesn't appeal to me because I like to see it first. Meat prices are also a bit high. But for other South Asian items this is going to be my go-to.
