Just get delivery. Their dining area is rough. This is shockingly some of the best Indian food around.

A Fantastic Indian Lunch Buffet!…read more Taj is a gem! The restaurant is modern and very clean, and they have a full bar, but the food is the star. The lunch buffet here is the perfect size with excellent chicken, goat, and vegetarian options. The food is delicious and so flavorful. The staff will bring a basket of fresh baked Naan to your table. Taj is nice enough for a date or for a work lunch. I'm definitely coming back soon.

We ordered family-style, and every dish that hit the table was vibrant, aromatic, and made with love. The tandoori chicken was simple yet so comforting, it arrived in a sizzling skillet adding a hint of flare in the presentation. Each chicken piece was beautifully charred, and coated in a bold, smoky marinade. The curries were so rich and each one had its own personality. The creamy yellow curry from the Chicken Korma was very rich in flavor while the saagwala was earthy, well-seasoned, and not over-puréed. Personally my favorite was the chicken korma the curry sauce was just on another level, I highly recommend this dish. The lamb biryani was another highlight with fragrant basmati rice and huge chunks of lamb generously garnished with fresh cilantro. Bread lovers be warned! The naan was hot, fluffy, and perfect for scooping up sauces. We also tried the aloo tikki as an appetizer and they were crisp on the outside yet so soft inside. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a full Indian spread with friends or family, then make sure you check Taj out!

We went at lunch time on a Friday and the place was totally dead which felt weird, but the service was great and food was made to order and delicious. Lots of flavor. The momo were definitely the star of the show. We had all the different fillings and cook methods, and all were fantastic! Chili was my personal favorite. The dal bhat was also very good. The waiter was super nice and very helpful, giving us suggestions on what to try since it was everyone's first time. He was the only one working though, so the service was very slow. He said multiple people called out. It took quite a while for the food to come out, but once it did everything came flooding out. The only other thing was that it was much too dark inside. Once the sun went down you couldn't see much. Maybe that's the ambiance there were going got but it made it difficult to see anything. Outside of those small things, it was a great time! Will definitely be back.

Rajdhani is Nepali food, which none of us had ever tried - but we all love Indian food and Nepali food had some similar flavors and dishes. We started with two orders of momo (Nepali dumplings). We had a vegetarian party in our party, so we got one order of the vegetable momo and one order of the chicken momo. To be honest, I was more excited about the chicken momo, but the vegetable momo BLEW ME AWAY. The chicken was okay (a little dry and not as flavorful as the vegetable), but the vegetable was amazing. (The chicken was still worth ordering, but it needed a bit of the sauce to make it more delicious, and the vegetable momo didn't need anything at all.) Then we shared a bunch of dishes family style: chicken curry, aalu govi (potato, cauliflower, and spices - aloo gobi in Indian cuisine), a vegetarian thali (a dish of many small dishes, which included a daal, eggplant, okra, and other veg dishes), chicken curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, and paneer chili. Everything was good, but my favorites were the Chicken Tikka Masala, the paneer chili, and the okra from the veg thali. Rajdhani is a grocery store and cafe. The cafe is to the back of the grocery store. The service was good, and our server answered all the questions we had about the menu. We finished ALL of our plates. Every little bite of food was eaten. We didn't leave hungry, that's for sure! Rajdhani isn't a fancy place. But as an introduction to Nepali food? It's a winner. I definitely plan on going back and trying more Nepali food if the opportunity arrives! If you like to explore the international cuisine available in Nashville's Nolensville corridor, add Rajdhani to your list! Well worth the hike out to Nolensville and Bell Road (admittedly not so much of a hike for this Crieve Hall girl). Two thumbs up!

The staff was remarkably friendly and attentive; they patiently guided me through the menu and helped me settle on a medium spice level for my meal, which turned out to be the absolute perfect choice. The food itself was deeply comforting. I ordered the lamb saag, which featured exceptionally tender lamb cooked with onions and tomatoes in a rich, creamy spinach sauce. The medium heat was wonderful; it took a little while to accumulate on the palate but remained very tolerable and allowed the fresh, authentic spices to shine alongside the fluffy rice. To accompany the entree, I ordered the Bullet Naan. Baked fresh in their clay oven, this bread was beautifully soft, structured, and piled high with chopped green chilies, garlic, and a generous smear of spicy garlic butter. It provided the perfect, fiery bite to complement the savory lamb saag, making for a truly memorable meal.

I honestly have never had a restaurant prepared meal that was even remotely prepared to this caliber of perfection! Alright here we go.... FOOD: We ordered WAY TOO MUCH, but we wanted to get a full understanding of what they were about, that and the pictures in the menu looked amazing. I always ask for suggestions when I'm trying something new.....And you can always tell when it's a knowledgeable, helpful and caring person by what they recommend....the 4 to 5 gentlemen who took care of us brought us an abundance of delicious and beautifully presented foods, including sides and specialties...we were blown away!! Service was beyond perfect....it really feels like you're hanging out with the family you always kinda wanted...lol! Above and beyond!!! Ambiance is comforting and relaxing not at all pretentious with plenty of room for large groups and families to enjoy together. I base a lot of my opinions about the overall quality of the restaurants that I review on the cleanliness of their restrooms....it's a "basic bottle line" that says everything you need to know about where you could potentially be eating and drinking by doing nothing more than taking a quick trip to the toilet. If it's a mess, LEAVE!! If it's kept up, well stocked and CLEAN, then hug the owner, tell your friends and family to eat there and write a good review because phenomenal places with pristine restrooms like Edessa are becoming a rarity, a thing of the past, a novelty in a new era of nasty, busted and gross establishments serving crap.... Surati had been on my radar for a long while so when I drove past, I knew that I had made my mind up. Despite it being a Friday night, it wasn't very busy. The inside is small but not so much that you'd have a claustrophobic attack. Parking is easy (thankfully; a rarity these days) so after walking in... I sorta stood there. I'm not new to small mom & pops but I didn't quite know how things worked here and rather than call out, I waited to be greeted. I would have to continue to wait. No wanting to stand in silence with a nearly empty dining room, I asked about the ordering process. Maybe the kitchen (and front of house) was busy with online orders? My service was standoffish at best. Normally I would have left but open hours on Friday night can fluctuate and I didn't want to start over in another queue (it was after 7). Had I eaten in, I would have gone for a dosa. Not knowing how that would travel, I opted for Szechuan fried rice (medium). I hadn't so much as ordered and sat in a booth to look at my phone to waste some time when I was told my food was ready. Either Surati has the fastest chefs in the city or my food was not made to order -- and I certainly didn't experience the 'extras' other Yelpers describe. Not wanting to get into it, I paid and left. I came home to a generous amount of well-seasoned biryani rice and vegetables with just enough heat to let you know you're alive but not so much as to wreck your mouth. I took the W. Food was good enough and I felt that I got my money's worth. Everything else about my experience, though, led me to conclude that this would be a one and done for me. Onto the next.
