They cut down two trees for us. But we paid them to grind the two stumps but they only ground one; and they dragged heavy branches across a decomposed granite area, cutting deep grooves in the decomposed granite. Worse, they destroyed an expensive stone bench (I assume a heavy branch fell on it), piled the pieced on what remained of the bench, and left without saying telling us they destroyed the bench; then they acknowledged they had ruined the bench but refused to replace it. So while the company is "inexpensive", you only get as much as you pay for. In our case, we paid about $900, but lost about $450 for the bench, bringing the total to about $1,350. Plus we over paid $75 for the stump not ground down, and lost about $20 for the damaged decomposed granite. This is the kind of service you should expect from "Inexpensive" (you get what you pay for). If you want quality work, go to a different company. read more

From the beginning, these guys were fast in response and very prompt and emailed a quote right away. They were understanding when I said I had a few quotes pending. They checked in again and gave alternate dates when we accepted. They came out on time and cleaned up. We have very old and tall pine trees. One was unfortunately dying. Trying to find a company willing to trim such a tree is difficult. But we had them completely cut one of them down. They still finished both and some additional trimming in the back quickly. Since these pine trees are very tall, we had one of our windows break from the branches coming down. They were understanding and credited the cost to replacing it fast. They even tried a new paying system to return the funds ASAP to us. I can't stress how amazing this entire process has been. I had an issue with 1 big tree in the front of my house, and a grove of small, but tall trees in the back. I had a great interaction with them initially - very responsive and professional. They recommended removing them, offered a great price, and we scheduled an appointment. They came in with a team and did the work quickly, efficiently and cleaned up fantastically well. I asked specifically about the chances that any of these trees could grow back or cause problems and they told me it wouldn't. Verbally guaranteed that these trees are done after this. Less than a year later, the tree upfront has no sign of coming back. But the grove of trees out back have started spreading sprouts all through my lawn and all over my property. I started digging these up only to find that the trees they cut had started spreading its roots everywhere. I kept pulling these up and using poison to keep it at bay - but it's completely uncontainable. Left alone for 2 weeks, there can be more than 200 individual sprouts. I've called, left voicemails, and even sent messages through Yelp to Inexpensive with no response. They haven't gotten back to me once over the past 2 months. I've since called two other companies with certified arborists to come and inspect this problem - and they have both claimed that this should have been so easily taken care of at the moment. Which should have started with a treatment to poison and kill the tree root system while it was still active - and then removal. Since it's already been removed, it's difficult to penetrate the root system without a live tree - it's now an intensive process to continuously spot treat with poison (which is exposing my entire yard and the people that live here every week) and/or to entirely dig up my lawn and pull all the roots for several thousand dollars. They came in with a great price, and seemingly did a good job at the time. But they don't know their trees - and they don't know how to properly take care of them. And once you've been screwed - they don't get back to you. read more

We had a 55 foot tall ash tree that needed to be removed because roots were above ground and destroying our pool heater and neighboring properties. Logistically, removal was also going to be extremely hard because it was at rear of our property, no crane access, trucks could only get into our driveway and we have almost 1/4 of acre of land. Got four bids, not only did Inexpensive Tree come in at the lowest price by THOUSANDS of dollars, they were just a pure delight to work with. Juan the owner, was on site everyday for this beast of a project. Junior, his nephew did the estimate, and was also here. Paco and the rest of the crew of at least 10 guys worked so hard to get the tree down. Complicating the project was a very problematic neighbor that lives behind us. He was constantly complaining about something but Juan and crew were completely professional with him (much more than I have ever been or would have been). Branches of course did fall into his yard as we had given them significant warning ahead of time. At the end of each day, everything was meticulously cleaned. It was a three day job and I can't recommend them enough. Bought them all lunch two of three days just to show our thanks for their very hard effort. The tree is gone, stump took almost one entire day to also remove. Nothing damaged, they were safe the entire time. Watching them work is amazing/frightening to see people up that high in a tree! We have two huge redwood trees in our front yard that we will be having trimmed by Juan & team. Also, please give anyone working for long projects at your property access to bathroom facilities.
