I contacted Inexpensive Tree Service to trim up the tree at the front of our property because it was extremely top heavy and not been professionally trimmed since we purchased our home. Within a week of contacting them I had a small army of about 15 men cutting the tree and throwing the wood into a chipper. Keep in mind that we are on a steep hillside and so this was no easy task, but they operated like an assembly line and we're done within two hours. I was so impressed that I also had them trim up my Italian Cypress, drop a medium size palm tree and trim up the trees encroaching on my roofline and my electrical wires. They showed up on time and did what I asked. The tree trimming went well. However, when I went out later to move my pots back, I discovered a mess of trimmings they had not removed. I still have a lot of cleanup to do. This usually happens when I have my trees trimmed, but nothing as bad as this. I found these guys on Yelp and they had pretty good reviews so I thought I'd give them a try. Date palms are messy business so they need yearly trimming or the messes start falling and they just look bad. Had them done when I moved in for $200. and they did a good job. A year later had them done for $250. and they hacked them up and I was not happy. I did this because I lost the guys information. A few weeks ago I got an estimate and the guy said $550. because he thought he had a sucker on the line. I asked him to leave then suddenly he started offering better prices but I don't play that game. I can't trust someone that can't give me a good honest price. Update-they showed up either 6 hr 45 min late or 1 hr 45 late (see below) but when they did show they did the job and the crew seemed good. As they were leaving they said that the owner's father passed away. I have no reason to think that is a falsification and so I am revising the review. Bad stuff happens and me losing my Saturday is inconsequential to him losing his father. I would give them a shot again in the future in light of this and the good pricing and-until today-quick communication. Awesome owner-operated business run by a super nice and cheerful guy. His name is Juan and he promptly returned my call on the same day, came the next day to give us a really competitive estimate, then returned two days later to do the job with his team of 5 friendly people. They have all the professional equipment and a huge, brand-new truck to grind up all the branches and leaves. Our job was not easy as we had moved into a place where everything was overgrown. The guys handled the job really professionally and always courteously listened to my nitpicky mother whenever she wanted certain branches cut off! And the guy who climbs up the massive trees sings while he chainsaws away! One of our branches had grown into the cable line so that got accidentally cut despite their efforts to avoid doing so, but Juan promptly went out to buy a cable connector thing (didn't even know it existed) and fixed it without us asking him to. He said with a big smile: "if we break it, we'll fix it." Now that's what I call professional. They cleaned up the entire mess really well and then my mom asked them to trim more stuff (cringe!). I felt bad because they had already cleaned up but they didn't even give her a second glance - Juan was more than willing to appease her. Let me begin with a big shout out to the tree trimmer. My California Pepper tree looks stunning and the way he moved along the top of the back wall with his chainsaw trimming the Podocarpus trees was simply amazing. I was all set to leave a 5 star review as they did an excellent job overall, unfortunately on the way out as they were cleaning up the debris I saw one of the guys shoving something into a bush by the curb. Turns out it was his empty water bottle. What a lame move. Had he asked I would've gladly thrown it out for him. Price was good but they did not finish the job to our satisfaction. They were suppose to get the tree roots out but they buried them. So we didn't know that they hadn't gotten them out. They refused to come out and finish the job so we had to hire someone else to finish grinding the stump. Our paperwork said remove pine tree and stump which is still there. read more

I noticed a small tree growing and I referred to it as a volunteer, not much time went by and this thing was 80 feet tall. There were also Dozens of sprouts in my and neighbors yards. I freaked!!! Junior came out and gave me a quote for the trimming of these huge ficus trees (at least 70 feet tall) that belong to the city. He was very professional and gave a great quote. I got additional quotes, but none were as professional as Junior. On the great day of trimming, the crew came out and were amazing.
