Visited 1/26/2023 It was so unexpected to find out just how good this place is. We weren't expecting a place to have an amazing menu with tasty food like we found at Inferno. The ambience was nice for a pizza joint in downtown Brawley. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Everything we tried was extremely flavorful and well prepared. We started with The Caprice Salad. It was perfect and the Balsamic Vinegar was Amazing. Next we tried The Chicken wings (Naked) With the sauce on the side. Very Good. Another Winner. We also tried The Western Slinger Bacon Cheese Burger. Large and cooked a perfect medium rare. Extremely Delicious. To top it all off we went with The Chicken Alfredo Pizza. Excellent for sure. This place is a must try if your in Brawley. Enjoy as I will be returning to try more of the menu soon.

Amazing food and ambiance with extensive menu. Fantastic service with live music, looking for a small town restaurant that is one of a kind? Check out inferno.

It's so crazy how slow they are. We waited more than one hour to wait for our pizza. While we are waiting, we saw a huge live cockroach on the floor. They brought our salad, which is almost only mixed greens inside, really few cheese. And finally we got our pizza. I was soooo hungry and had a big bite, the first bite was fine. But it was crazy spicy when I continued eating. It is tooooooooooo spicy! I can eat quite good spicy food, but this one is burning. It's dangerous and they didn't warn us when we put the order. So I had to leave and find another place to eat because they were too busy to take more orders.

The Slowjamastan parliament took a last minute drive up to Brawley to check out the scene. It seemed like the perfect time to get out and mingle with the people. During our visit, we decided to make a last minute dinner stop. We arrived (unannounced) to a place called Inferno Restaurant. Upon our Saturday night arrival, we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server (excited at the fact we were there) had a friendly smile and very attentive. Our drinks always re-filled and our food was hot and tasty. Protocol is to always call ahead before the Sultan makes an appearance. Unfortunately, time was not on our side. But, even though we showed up announced, Inferno jumped into action and took care of us well. They were so excited we were there, they almost rolled out a red carpet. Not wanting to call any attention unto ourselves, our Chief Border Agent let them off the hook. One complaint; we were not happy with the styrofoam plates. Using a fork and knife to cut our pizza, the plates allowed us to cut into their table. Plus, styrofoam is bad for the environment, according to Jesse Spano on Saved By The Bell. Outside of that minor inconvenience, we had a great experience. Once other patrons caught wind of our attendance, we had to make a quick get away. Thanks to our EMT, Rescue Rick, he threw us into the vehicle and peeled away. Safely, of course. We will definitely be returning. Of course, we will make sure to call ahead. - The Republic of Slowjamastan

The garlic bread was just bolillo bread (the kind of bread you eat with menudo) with butter and garlic seasoning. The chicken wings were also really soggy and for some they were all dark brown on the inside. It was really unappetizing to see. The Alfredo wasn't too bad. I don't think I will be trying this place again.

Cute ambiance, amazing wait staff and good value for the quality and portion size. The bread brought for the table was perfect crispy outside, soft inside. All the dishes were well made. I took a lasagna plate to go for my adult son and he loved it as well. Best part is how well-trained their staff is; I ordered a diet coke and they let me know they were out and offered other suggestions. I went with a water but not five minutes later they came with a diet coke! What kept them from 5 stars? There is no dedicated parking lot and the area around them (north of them is fine but south down the street is another story) is sketchy at best and doesn't seem particularly safe to park your car on the street. The menu is not very broad, but overall a very nice experience!

But took us one hour to check us out. Management didn't help the server until my sister had to go complain. Twice. We had all different kind of meals, the pasta seemed like it was microwaveable. We had a small calamari fritta, and the chicken cacciatore (inspired by Billy Joel's song Movin' Out) with an add on unlimited Caesar salad, requested dressing on the side. Calamari was good, crispy and hot. The Caesar salad dressing was excellent, just the right amount of lemon tang for a Caesar dressing, but the salad itself was mediocre. The lettuce was on the verge of wilted. I am not sure if we could have asked for more (unlimited?) but we didn't want anymore anyway. This is the first time have ever tried cacciatore so have no reference, but the dish seemed good. Assume the chicken is supposed to be cooked to the point of crispy? versus less cooked more juicy? Our server had to also function as hostess and must have had a lot of tables assigned to her, so service at times was a little slow but not bad. Probably would return, prices were decent. Could have ordered a take home lasagna for just an additional $5., but didn't want it. ...at Mister Cacciatore's down on Sullivan Street, across from the medical center!

It tasted ok, not great. The salad is a staple item that doesn't change and accompanied by hot breadsticks that always seems to make the food taste a little better. Our waiter Brandon was very friendly. The only negative so far is the air conditioning being too cold! Good thing I ordered the hot tea! Probably cranked down to 60! Bring a sweater! Music was mellow and not loud, making it easy to converse. The manager came by and asked how was everything and I asked for more hot tea and he said right away...not! Brandon took a little too long as I finished my dinner and I wanted the tea with my dinner. But I'm not holding that against Brandon as he was super busy and the manager could have easily given me some hot water! All in all not bad. The eggplant tasted a little bit better than the chicken parmigiana...I forgot to mention that!

This is one of those hidden gems stashed…read morefrom Main St., and for a small restaurant, it packs a weapons grade A++ for the food and service. For those of us in Phoenix, we'll have to make the trip to Yuma, but it's worth making the drive for a day trip or doing an overnighter. I had the lasagna...an item that was taken off the menu but recommended by the owner (Mario) since they made some that day. It's gone now, and I savored every bite--sorry about that. Besides, a pic wouldn't do justice to the rich layers of piping hot, tender pasta sheets, slathered in hearty meat sauce and creamy béchamel and ricotta. If this is Italian comfort food, I'm all in with the way Mario's crew put this master piece on a plate. This also goes for the caprese, Cacio e pepe, margherita romana, along with the deserts like the tiramisu' de treviso, cherry cannoli siciliani, and even the bread basket is over the top. Again, apologies for the lack of photos, I will say that the visual appeal of each dish matched the flavors, so the food vanished before the thought of a photo op crossed my mind, and I savored every bite--errr, sorry about again. But if I had to make a statement describing the whole dining experience: "the gods smiled". To summarize: -Imported ingredients from Italy -Fresh vegetables -Mellow atmosphere -Service and dialog with Mario -Outstanding food Highly recommended! I'll take pictures and post them next time we dine here.
