Ordered the brisket sandwich. The plate arrived and presentation was very nice. It was listed on the menu as coming with coleslaw & salad & fries which was confusing to me. I didn't want fries so I ask for something to swap. That confused the staff who had to huddle for a solution. I ask for double coleslaw and they offered salad so I finally agreed. Good move. The coleslaw was red cabbage with no apparent dressing or other ingredients in a small condiment container. The salad was mixed greens- that fancy stuff- with a nice vinegar/oil dressing. Brisket was good and moist and tender, a little salty and fatty for my taste but that seems to be the taste profile from Texas that everyone strives for. read more

My folks were in town so I thought I might take them here for a change. I hadn't been here myself in over a year. We made a reservation for 5 people at 5pm on Thursday. When we walked in, there was only 1 other couple there. The waiter had our table ready (which was nice). Once we sat down, she took our drink orders. Although they still had the alcohol list in the menu fold the waiter sadly told us they were no longer serving it. Not sure why they couldn't remove the alcohol insert as its easily removable. As she was taking our soda orders I asked her about the popular menu items. I should have known that this was a bad sign when I inquired about a few dinner entrees that weren't even in stock. We ended up ordering the California wrap w/fries, Chicken tenders w/fries, double cheese burger w/fries and bbq chicken pizza. We waited over an hour for hour food to arrive and the waiter never apologized for the wait. The California wrap was good but all our entrees that came with fries were luke warm. Cheese burger patty flavor was good too but the patties were shaped like meat balls stacked on top of each other that you couldn't eat the thing without dis-assembling the burger and using a fork and knife. The Pizza bbq sauce was very potent and too strong. Way too over powering. I felt like I was eating bread dunked in BBQ sauce. The overall experience here was very disappointing. The service, the food, the wait....it just wasn't worth it. Its sad because this was not the experience I had last year. The quality has severely gone down :( read more

if i could rate one start i would, not organized, waited well over an hour for my food, when i got it, pizza was burnt, i couldn't feed the kids that, onion rings were burnt. everything was disgusting, paid 23 dollars for a burger and couldn't even take 2 bites out of it. had to clean up a spill myself cause they refused too. i don't know how this place is still in business. horrible customer service. this place have overly expensive food that not even worth the price! read more

I'm a Brawley girl and finally got a chance to eat lunch there. Wow! It was a refreshing change from the usual restaurants we have to choose from! Hubby and I split a Cattle Call burger which had fries on the side. It was tasty! It was tender and fresh! We also had the wings...and we ordered the Kickin' Carnitas pizza which is like a BBQ plate on a pizza! Chipotle sauce, carnitas, bacon, purple onion and fresh cilantro! Delicious! Our server was great too! He recommended dishes we might want to try and described them to us and then offered to have our burger cut in half and served on separate plates since we were sharing. Our only regret was that we couldn't eat MORE while there because we were full but we our kids loved eating the leftovers! This place used to be really good, my co-workers and I used to go for lunch and I loved their Cali chicken sandwich. However since the new owners took over it seems they cut corners and the food is really suffering because of it. The chicken sandwich used to be a whole breast served with various topping, that fit the bun it came on. Now this is served with a grilled chicken tender, that is not even half the size of the bun! Also, the fries I got weren't cooked all the way. If they stopped cutting corners they'd have more business. read more

We had the carnitas tacos and pull pork sandwich with coleslaw, we highly recommend both. The waitress took our orders the pizza was out on time the chicken wings, salad and refills of soda and pitcher of water it took 1 hour to get to our table. At this point we were informed the sweet chili wings we ordered the sweet chili had finished I went inside to ask about our salads and wings the counter person told me they would be right out I reminded them of the salad with ranch dressing well she finally brought the salad with Italian i told her it was ranch not Italian she made a comment fir me nit to yell at her sge had barely gone in to work and I did not yell at her how is that possible when she is the person I spoke to inside. Honestly both the male and female attendees looked very confused from what I saw their order slips were not matching and the male attendee kept sending food back to the kitchen the only assistance we got was from the dishwasher. Actually, no stars would be appropriate. This had to be hands down the worst dining experience ever. We have been to this restaurant previously, last year, and had good food and service. This experience was painful. After waiting an excruciatingly long time for our food, we received cold food and an uncooked pizza. I have eaten here 3 or 4 times now, and the food is usually average, nothing to write home about or anything but fine. I went to dinner here with about 5 family members and it was all around bad. There were a few new people working, which may be why this all happened. A couple family members didnt receive their food until 20 minutes after the rest, when everyone was done eating. One person ordered the chicken strips with ranch, and didnt receive ranch until the chicken strips were cold. They were also burnt which is amazing for one of the simplest dishes on the menu. They have a habit of adding unnecessary spices to dishes that are not described in the menu, which results in people being unable to correctly order food they would like. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice but that isnt as important as the food. read more

Patronize this establishment at your own risk! I chose Inferno on a whim because the reviews were decent and I was passing through town. A couple of days later, I realized that I had lost my credit card, and knowing Inferno was the last place I had used it, I called to check if they still had it. The man on the phone claimed it was not there, so I moved on and cancelled the card. The next day, while reviewing my statement, I noticed an unauthorized charge AT INFERNO!!! When I called back to inquire about this and speak with the manager, he had knowledge of my card and claimed it was "in his bag at the owners". Then I told him about the charge and that it took place at approximately 1am(closing time) and he confirmed that he had knowledge of this charge. Apparently, they ran my card to cover some random persons tab at the bar! I am aware that some times at the end of the night, mistakes can happen when closing out tabs, but this does not sound like a mistake at all. The manager had full knowledge of the transaction and my credit card's whereabouts. This is downright FRAUD! As such, I will be filing a police report and a complaint with the federal trade commission. And in case anyone was wondering, the pizza crust was like cardboard. read more

We are on a road trip thru the desert and found ourselves in Brawley for lunch. We drove thru town looking for a place to eat and saw Inferno. We orignally were going to stop someplace but the exterior looked very rustic and inviting. We decided to check it out. The interior was the same, it was a restored circa 1920's building where we immediately felt comfortable as we were welcomed and invited to sit wherever we wanted. The menu was not very large but had so many great sounding dishes the we had a hard time choosing. Our server, Omar, offered a few suggestions. We both settled on the Bison burger. I was unsure about the candied onions that were on the burger but figured I would give them a try. Boy was I glad I did. The burger was excellent. The candied onions and the bun really made this one of the best I have had anywhere. My friend felt the same way The service was terrific, everyone genuinely seemd to care about providing us with a great experience. If this restaurant were in LA, it would have a line out the door of people waiting to get in. Brawley is lucky to have Inferno. I don't when the next time I will be that way but I will return. read more

So we've been to Inferno a couple times, was way impressed the first time. Good food selection and quality, service with a smile, ambiance, decor, not what you normally find in the valley. I made it a point to refer friends & family who had not yet been or had not even heard of it. Ou last visit: they were out of quite a few of their menu items, which is difficult to understand when you have a limited menu as it is. Granted it was 9:00, and they close at 10:00 on a Saturday night. We ordered drinks, appetizers, entrees (party of 6). 10 minutes before 10:00 we ordered another round of drinks, we were told they had already called last call. Promptly at 10:00 we were asked by management/head chef to pay our bill and leave since it was closing time. (We had a $300 bill)We were completely surprised and disappointed. Especially since we had just ranted & raved about this place and brought friends with us since they had never been. I really cannot recall ever being treated so poorly at a restaurant. It will take us a lot to return. Honestly I'd rather drive to SD and know that we will not be disappointed by their lack of customer service, consideration & availability of menu items. read more

I've visited here four times already. The atmosphere is fantastic, props to whoever designed the place! The Margherita pizza is my favorite so far. The service two out of the four times were iffy and our waiters didn't seem to care at all (service is a huge deal guys, can't stress it enough) but the other two times it was great. Big props especially to the young blonde kid who was very attentive and polite to my brother and I - left him a nice tip! This was our 4th visit. Kept hoping it would get better... it didn't. A 14 dollar California chicken burger that contains a scant amount of chicken and came without avacado. The burger buns appear glossy and nice are quite tasteless and dry. My salad consisting of basic spring mix had that nasty runny rotting pieces of grose lettuce. I'm quite disappointed with this place since everything else around here is Mexican food. If you want to pay top dollar for mediocre food then this is the place for you. read more

Finally! Something other than a crappy Mexican, Chinese, or greasy cafe. Inferno brings a new atmosphere and menu to Brawley. The food goes from thin crust pizzas (wood fired oven) to salads to burgers. This isn't your typical American food joint because the food is very fresh with a gourmet feel and you'll be glad you tried it. We had hot wings, caprese salad, bison burger, pepperoni pizza and the fried ice cream! Everything was very good! We didn't try the beer but ordered lemonade and they were out, so we ordered the tropical iced tea and they were out so we settled with water and regular tea. Inferno's customer service was good, but the wait was just too long. We had a group of eight and there were only 2 other groups in there and they were small. The food was really good though, except the pizza, it was not very delicious. Although, the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere is great, and just eye-catching once you walk in. However, I didn't quite enjoy the food. I ordered the oven toasted Magherita pizza and quite frankly I'm disappointed with the outcome. The pizza was poorly put together, and when I took a bite into the pizza the whole cheese just fell off. There were barely any basil on the pizza. Definitely not worth the money.
