Beware! I switched to Infinite Energy and on the first bill was charged the service charge for the current month and the next one as well. When I called they tried to sell me some story about how it has to do with billing from Atlanta Gas and Light and that they are just 'passing on' what AGL is sending them. After calling AGL, they clarified that they send a month in advance billing for the charges as they know what they will be, but INFINITE ENERGY is the only ones that pass this on to the consumer, so in effect you are paying a month in advance for your service charge i.e., two service charges on the first bill. I spoke with them and they said that they would postpone the due service charge until next month with no penalty, but couldn't guarantee that the same wouldn't happen the next month. Well here it is the next month, and lo and behold the same issue, something I deduced from the statement online, which by the way, is devoid of any information, save what you owe. No breakdown, amount of therms etc., just the amount. I will call the Georgia Public Service Commission and complain. I will pay the service charge for the month that I owe, but NOT ON SERVICE I HAVEN'T RECEIVED YET. Avoid this company at all costs! Customer 'no service', can't and won't resolve this issue. DO NOT DO IT!!! Unlike all of my other utilities, e-bill pay through my bank is not available. I set a monthly reminder so to avoid the $10 late fee but I'm randomly invoiced. Seriously??? My last three bills have been due on 1/2/14, 1/27/14 and 2/20/14. WTF? This coupled with their slow arse e-check processing all but guarantees me a monthly late fee. I've been with them 2 years, good service. I've called them twice, once to setup the account and other time to transfer service/renew. I'm very happy with them for the following reasons: 1. While renewing service, I needed an extra month at the same rate (13 months instead of 12) they got it for me, no question, no issues. Helped me out 2. While transnferring service I needed an extra month at my old house with my existing rate, no issue, they gave me 30 days. 3. I like that htye have an all online account, with automatic bill pay What I would like them to improve: 1. Their rates are very competitive but not the lowest 2. Their customer service fee is not the lowest either Why I ask - they are Gas marketers, don't actually own any assets or deliver gas/service. Only customer care, bills and middle men. Website is very annoying. You have to put in your password every time you clink on a link (even if you're already logged in). Your bill will not load so there is no way for you to see what you are actually paying for. Also, I tried to pay my bill online, and the page took 5 minutes to load. I gave up at that point. I signed up for their service because at the time it was the cheapest. The first year was great. I had the cheap rates and my account was always due at the end of the month. I resigned with them for another year and that's when the trouble started. They started changing the dates of when the payment was due. It was difficult to keep track of because it was never the same date or even close. It got to the point where I was checking my account all the time just so I wouldn't be late. It was like they were making up for the cheap rates the first year with being able to charge you late fees for the random due dates. I have been counting the days until I could leave this company. Do not sign up with them. They will employ gimmicks the second that you renew your contract. In response to Infinite's comments, I'm not interested in staying with Infinite Energy. If my natural gas bill was $1 a month, I wouldn't stay. I have literally counted the days until I could disconnect my service. My question is why were the due dates moved around so randomly after I renewed my contract? During my first year the due date was always at the end of the month. read more

In my opinion these guys are running a scam - they have all the sales people telling you how you will save money - and then boom, in the end you pay them for the gas service that they don't even own - they just rent the gas from the gas company and charge you for it. Not at all happy with customer service department. Had an issue with disconnecting my service when moving out of an apartment. Feel mislead and am now paying for charges during a month when I was not even at the service address. Don't appreciate some things said during my customer service call and you'd think waiving less than $20 in charges would seem minor compared to upsetting a customer. Let me tell you, this is one service you can avoid without any doubts. There are so many hidden costs, especially when you are terminating the account before the contract term. They claim to inform you about the NEST products with the service and then when you stop the service, they charge a service recovery fee of $230 for something we haven't used or have not been informed. Had to go to California for training in the Mohave Desert ( Im active duty military ). During this 30 days we are not allowed to have cell phones. Apparently someone stole my debit card information and my bank ended canceling my debit card. I got back on the 3rd of June paid all my bills once I activated my new Debit card. Go out to get a hair cut and dog food to find my gas had been disconnected once I had returned. I then call Infinite Energy to find my bill was paid and they disconnected my gas service (some supposed mix up). The lady I spoke to was extremely rude telling me "your out of luck your gonna have wait until Thursday for someone to come out and turn it back on." I then asked to speak to a supervisor. She forgot to put the phone on hold and started talking shit about me and then hung up. Her Supervisor called me following being hung up on. He was trying to give me all kind of excuses telling me its my fault even though my account was in good standing. So now I am stuck with cold showers, can't do laundry due to my dryer being gas, and I can't cook food either. I am completely fucked until Thursday. This company may not be a direct reflection of their employees but they need more training and learn how to take responsibility. They will hang up on customers and talk shit about them behind their back. Awful experience trying to update my credit card expiration date on the website. What started out as an easy enough task turned into a ridiculous trip into corporate ineptitude. The gas was for a second home so i wasn't there full time which complicated things a little. They cut off the gas even though they refunded the late payment from the stupid expired credit card. Unhelpful people working in cubicle farm somewhere wouldn't refund reconnect fee. Just crazy. Like most large businesses selling business serivices to public utilities, they will only change when they lose customers. Don't sign up with them in the first place. Mathew H. of Infinite Energy was able to put me in touch with a person at Infinite Energy that quickly, efficiently, and successfully resolved my problem. He explained how the system works with Atlanta Gas Light and that AGL does assign one name to meters, which AGL will not change without a fee. So, while Fireside showed both my husband's and my name on our bills, AGL puts only one name on the meter. He took full responsibility for the miscommunication between me and the Infinite Energy representatives, clearly explained the issue, and resolved it to my satisfaction. I appreciate the quick response Infinite Energy showed in handling an issue a potential customer encountered. It shows great promise for our future relationship. read more

I do not know what to tell or where to start. Last month, the bill for my 2 Bedroom apartment was $410. I still can not believe/understand what did I do to get this bill. For December 2018, it was more than $200, and I paid that one, since weather was cold. For the record, I would have given zero stars. However, I am forced to give at least one star. In summary, people make a business good or bad, and the couple of times that my fiance and I had to interact with the people of this business, in totality, was bad. I was not a customer of Infinite Energy, but I had to speak with their customer service representatives with my fiance who was a patron of their business. We spoke with Brian, David and Felicia, each person a supervisor to the one prior. Our overall experience has been tainted with the way that they handled the final billings of my fiance's account. Brian was courteous, but ultimately didn't have the knowledge of the business and billings in our situation and gave us incorrect information. David and Felicia were professional but did not serve the customer well in this case. Their explanation of the final bill was convoluted. They could have simply honored their associate's word and waived a majority of the final bill, but gave a suspicious explanation leading to a "generous" small credit and our obligation to settle the account. I know that it will probably be difficult not to have to work with Infinite Energy again because of the business landscape of utility services, but I will try my hardest to avoid working with them again. Buyer beware! I signed up for Infinite Energy through my apartment complex 18 months ago. Sign up was very easy which should have been a clue. I just requested to cancel my service and Infinite wants to charge me a $12.50 per month early termination fee because I was on a yearly fixed rate. This is about 50% of what I was paying per month to use the service. Estimated ETF will run me about $100. They claim it was in the Terms & Conditions that I agreed to - I don't even recall seeing T&Cs because it was "so easy" to sign up through my complex. I asked them to rerate my plan to a 5 month deal but they said no. ETF for gas that I'm not using - WTF???? I've lived all around the country and this is the first time I've run into an ETF with a gas utility. Shady enough for me to file a complaint with the GA PUC. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Listed in order of most recent are problems I've recently had with this company. 1. Company failed to mail me a bill and then sent my account over to collections within 30 days. 2. They will mail you threatening letters concerning non-payment of your bill before the bill is even due. 3. I moved and the customer service rep told us that we would not need to start a new contract, ie that we could transfer our service. The first letter we received from Infinite Energy was a new contract letter, stating all terms in an official legal document. Called service line and they said that we weren't in a new contract. Hmmm, wonder what would have happened had I not called. Also, the rate was crazy high, like 8 cents higher than anyone else and current rate. 4. When I moved they failed to get Oncur to get power turned on when promised. We had to get a hotel room due to our infant not being able to handle the Texas heat. I do not trust this company. Be warned if you do business with them just because they are $0.005 cheaper than someone else. They have very aggressive bill collection policies. read more

Do Not register with this company. So I signed up and have not started service yet. I called them and tried to cancel my service. (I signed up for a 2-year agreement and realized the rate is one of the highest on the market (0.58 per therm) along with a $9.95 monthly service charge... all because they are giving you a "free" Nest thermostat.. It's not free. It's in the rate and monthly service fee. I called customer service and requested cancellation given I have not started service. I just returned from an out of state trip required by my job, I get home to realize my gas is off. The letter they mailed me said I didn't have to worry about anything until 10/3/16. I'm on foot for most of my job in the heat so it angers me that I can't come home and take a comfortable shower. I'm tired of them taking the money I work hard for. And on top of that they rescheduled my reconnection for today, said they came by at 8:30 am i've been awake since 7:30 have I heard a single knock? I was told that I would have to prepay my account and receive credit the next month when my actual charges come in from Atlanta Gas Light. I started services with them on 9/17. I received four calls from their credit and collections department telling me to pay my bill or they will shut off my gas. They charged me on my 9/17 bill: A prepay amount of $110 for September and a prepay charge of $69.60 for October. I paid $249.60 to this company and I have only had gas services for two months. Absolutely terrible company. If I didn't have to use this gas provider to live at Post Properties then I would never imagine using them. 1. My apartment complex moved me from one apartment to another. I called and notified Infinite Energy about my new apartment as well as updating my address on the website. They never shut off the gas to my old apartment so I have to pay 2 bills. On top of that, they charge me a $25 fee for shutting off the gas at the first apartment and another $25 for turning on the gas at the new apartment when it was the apartment complex's fault in the first place for moving us into the wrong apartment. 2. The new apartment account was never added to my account, so after two months of paying the bills for the old apartment, they shut off my gas at the new apartment. I could have easily paid the bill, but I was never given proper notification that the gas would be shutoff nor was I noticed that there were bills outstanding. They proceed to charge me another $25 to shut off the gas at the new apartment. Then, I have to wait one week (without hot water mind you) for a guy to come out and do 3 minutes of work to turn the gas on and they charge me another $25. 3. I call customer service to complain and "they can't do anything for me and it's my fault that I didn't specify that I wanted them to add the new address to my account." Luckily (sarcasm), they waived the $125 deposit to restart my services. I cannot stand this company. I have spoken with multiple representatives of the company and they all have the same "there's nothing we can do about it" attitude. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I didn't pay my gas bill for one month and then paid the entire balance after z month or so just to see that my services were ALREADY cut off. After trying to get them cut back on , I was told that I'd have to pay an extra $150 which I was never informed of. Then they lied and said that the sent letters, emails calls and voicemails warning me about the deposit and there's absolutely nothing in my email or my mailbox. And I know for a fact they were lying because my phone was broken and people were unable to leave me voicemails, so how would they have managed to leave me a voicemail? I used this company for 11 months when I was in Atlanta. It was too much for me to be billed for $45-$60 per month when I lived alone and only used it for water heater. I was very busy so I did not want to bother complaining this, but recently I had a very bad experience with them when paying for the final invoice that made me feel like I was CHEATED. I requested Turn Off for my gas service on 6/16/2017 (the same day when I moved out from my apartment) and did not use any service since then, but I was then charged the July base fee. When I asked them, they explained that Atlanta Gas Light was not available to officially turn off my gas service until 6/20, and the base charges are billed to the gas marketers for all locations as of the 20th day of the month for the following month. That means if my disconnection date is after the 19th of any month I will receive the base charges for the following month. This explanation did not make sense to me at all as I already requested Turn Off on 6/16 but it was the company that keep my service until 6/20 that made me in charge of this fee. I should not be responsible for any charge caused by the company. I then asked that even if my service had to be officially turned off until 6/20, then it should still be inactive when they charge the July base fees on 6/20. But guess what they responded? They said the status was identified by hours -- My account has not yet been closed by them when they charged the July fees. That means I was charged for fees for a month just because my account was active for only a few hours or even minutes on 6/20, and it was the company that kept my service for that long time! No matter how I argued with them they refused to refund this incorrect charge for me. And they even said I did not have to pay for the base charge for July 2016 because my service started on late July last year, so it is reasonable to charge me July base charge for this year. What a ridiculous logic!? This is irrelevant to this error at all okay? And anyway, I used the service for only less than 11 months. Why do I need to pay base charges for 12 months?? I have seen many cases that a company incorrectly charged fees but I never see a company like Infinite Energy. It just seems like they make every error ON PURPOSE to cheat their customers. I realized a while back Infinite Enegry was not a good provider, but since I was selling my house and would not be living in it, I decided to keep their service. That proved to be a wrong move. After 6 months of just basic charges, I get my final bill that is 4 times what is was the previous months. I put down $150 deposit and when I moved apartments I called a month in advance warning them I am not renewing and to send the deposit check to my new apartment. Business contract will automatically renew if you do not notify Infinite energy in writing, thirty days prior to contract termination. My contract renewed, I then sold my business and they charged me an early termination fee for money they lost. They reduced the fee as much as they could . I will say my cost of gas was about thirty percent less than other gas companies. read more

I received a promo from Infinity Energy offering a good 12 month rate, and an Amazon gift card. there was also something about a chance to win circus tickets to a show at their arena at Gwinnett Arena. As I had already finished my contract with another provider, and just signed a 12 month contract renewal for my duplex, I wanted to get it to sync with my rental agreement (starting 1 June)and get the promo (ending 5 June) IF there were no transfer fees or drama/surprises. That was the beginning of some of the worse customer service I have dealt with in years. I started trying to contact them the Friday before Memorial day, first using the contact number on the promo mailing, then the number on their website. Each call was answered by their computer, and I was stuck in on-hold purgatory again and again (near as I could tell, there were no actual humans there). I waited until after the holiday (in retrospect a mistake considering the time wasted before the holiday), and tried again the Tuesday after the holiday - again no humans for either number during business hours, just stuck on hold. At least 6 attempts in all, maybe more - all during business hours. As a last resort before the timeline window expired, I sent an email thru their website listing my issues, and received a reply the nest day requesting me to either sign up with no human interaction thru their website (without getting my questions answered) or just call one of the same two numbers I wasted so much time on already. It also said they hadn't received my phone number for a follow-up (I put it in the script that their site required to submit a question, guess their Computer that seems to run things there didn't allow them to have it). I emailed them my phone number, and received a call as I was walking into a Dr.'s office for an appointment, I ask if they could answer my questions in 5 minute or less, and the guy said it would take at least 15. We agreed upon call back time of 3pm. Never happened, that day, or the next, or the next, Now, I would need an 11.5 month contract to sync it with my lease, and the Amazon gift card promo has expired. Anyone know a gas provider giving 41.9/ therm + gift cards on a 11 month contract? Preferably one that has actual humans working there?? read more
