I wanted to sign up since their rates are great. First, I wanted to read their terms and conditions before I agreed to them. I couldn't find a copy on their website. I sent an email to their online contact and waited a few days, but no response. I called and spoke with someone in customer service; he said he'd email the terms and conditions to me. When I signed up to lock in my rate, I was told that if I move out of state they would waive the cancellation fee, if I moved to a place where they did not provide service. I told them that this was a very real possibility. As it turned out, I moved form Georgia to Florida, where they do not provide service. They billed me for the cancellation fee, so I wrote a letter requesting a waiver, as I was instructed to do. Instead of being granted a waiver, they billed me an extra $10 for being late with the waiver fee. This company is a real piece of work. I was charged for an extra month of base charges, even though I had already disconnected my service. I was informed that had I disconnected service 1 day prior (the 19th instead of the 20th), I would not have been charged. This was not made clear to me before I canceled my service. Had I known this, I would have canceled one day earlier. The representative I spoke with was less than helpful, and it was clear he was reading off a script. This company is horrible. They are completely unhelpful and could care less about keeping their customers. They increased my customer service fee from 5.95 to 7.95 out of the blue. They said it was because my apartment complex renewed their contract with them. Sooooo what does that have to do with my contract with you?? EXACTLY. I argued and argued that it says in my contract that I pay 5.95 a month for a customer service fee. Supposedly the supervisors supposed to call me back tomorrow with what, another excuse? My wife and I have been a customer with Infinite energy for 3 yrs now. We have had zero issues with this company until just recently when we wanted to transfer our services to another apartment in the same complex. Well the apartment complex screwed us over and our new apartment wasnt ready to move in. Before all of this my wife spoke with a customer service person by the name of ERICA. ERICA must have not quite understood what we were trying to do and terminated our service completely instead of transferring . Now we have to put another deposit down for the same unit we been in for the past 3 yrs due to her error not ours. Why is it that when a company makes a mistake they want to blame the consumer. We even said we would call and confirm everything and she still went ahead and terminated, our account was current. They were real quick to take another deposit though. I just realized that they are charging me a customer service fee of $24.95 a month. I'm checking to see if that is even legal.....it should not. The highest I see on their rate plans is $9.95. Signed up for a month to month deal with no contract for 4.5 cents kwh here in Texas. A few months later they had raised the rate to 14 cents a kwh, sending my electric bill through the roof. Needless to say the cost of electricity didn't raise that much, all the other carriers had a lower rate. It's a bait and switch. read more

Horrible company!! These people just disconnected me for the first time with an email as my only warning. Then paid to bring my account current only to be told I also have to pay $150 deposit even after setting up auto pay! On top of that, I now have to wait 6 days with no heat, hot water, or stove in the spring but still gets cold at night! I currently have a sinus infection and this can compromise my health!! Unbelievable. My first gas bill for a single month was over $120. They charge fee after fee that add up so quickly. I don't even use my gas that much. $60 of the over $120 was in set up fees, which is ridiculous but only for this first month. Then you're charged for your gas, which is expected. But then they charge you again for your gas (the same amount) and make up some BS reason for it. So you get double charged! On top of that is a customer service fee, which is $6 a month for me - $72 a year for literally nothing. They say it's to cover their "administrative expenses." Well guess what: what I'm paying for the gas is supposed to cover that. If I weren't in a contract I'd be out of this in a heartbeat. Please explore your other options before you sign your life away to infinite energy. read more

Scheduled service to come out on 5.26.15. The tech NEVER CALLED ME. I could not leave work for 4 hours to wait for them to show up. When I called them today (5.27.15) they said Atlanta Gas Light tried to call me prior to arrival. All copies of my phone records indicate otherwise. No voicemail was even left on my phone! Representative couldn't get someone out until Friday. This is just ridiculous. I'm now being charged $35/day to stay at my current location so that I can have hot water and a working stove. Infinite Gas says it's not their problem because they scheduled it correctly. Seriously?!?! This is absurd. Think I will switch to a different gas provider. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I've been with this company for 10 years and it's not the same anymore unfortunately. My account was still active today online when I signed up to make my payment. I was two days late but had never been late in the previous TEN years. Only to find out that after paying my account up to date, they closed my online account and now I don't have access to any history of payments ect. So now my household has no hot water because I have to pay a $150 refundable deposit. I don't mind paying that. However if my track record shows a history of impeccable monthly payments, how could you just close my account? How could you just disconnect my service after only two days? I'm so disappointed and already switched to Commerce energy. Now I'm sure I'll have to pay what ever fees infinite energy will pull out of their asses now. But TBH I'd rather pay them just to get rid of them. This is how I look at it. on average I've paid a monthly bill of $70 for the last 10 years. That's $8400 I've paid infinite energy. So now I'm taking my business for commerce energy for the following years of my life. I'm 38 and healthy as a horse. Don't plan on moving so goodbye infinite energy. If God blesses me with another 40 years that means I'll be giving commerce energy $33,600 over a $130 bill that was late two days. That's smart business if you ask me, but what the heck do I know. I'll just let that sink in for a while infinite energy. So like I said. I'm sure your going to screw me out of more money somehow. But I'm sure it's not nearly as close to $33,600. read more

This is the worst company I have ever been in contact with. After having owned my home for over 12 years I was in a long-term contract with another gas supplier, I won't name names but it has south in the title. They were always perfect. I had my account set up on auto pay it always was paid there was never a problem. After being with them for such a long time, I thought I would try to get a better deal with another company. I unfortunately chose this company. My account was on auto pay for 12 months. I travel extensively and had not been in my home for four months. Everything was always paid and then for some reason one payment did not go through. I did not get a notification from my bank nor did I get a notification from this company. Therefore, they turn off my gas three days before Christmas. This was over $120. I called the company as soon as I was aware of the situation happily to pay over the phone with a credit card and get my gas turned back on. They could not turn my gas back on and they would not accept my credit card but they did however have my auto payment account on file. So they had my auto account payment on file yet never charged it but went ahead and had my gas turned off three days before Christmas. NEVER TO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!! read more

Post apartments have a deal with Infinity Energy for gas supply. Infinity Energy takes advantage of that and overbill costumers. Infinity Energy is the worst company to deal with. They charge you for activation, send you disconnection notices, and send you double billing. I just do not understand why Post Apartments still have a deal with Infinite Energy. I moved to GA in 2008, I stayed with my son for a year and when I left his home, I moved into a complex under my own name. I was told Infinite Energy was the one to use. I have paid my utility bill on time since it was set up for monthly payment. The problem came when I was unable to pay for November, 2010. They promptly sent me a Disconnection Notice in the amt of $55.16. 10 days later, they sent December bill with Nov on it. I have lived in Cleveland, California and they respect their customers. From what I've seen, GA has no respect for its consumers. It almost makes me wonder why I've moved here and do I really want to stay. Even, longtime residents complain. I had an insurance agent tell me that GA companies, don't care about consumers and the government backs them up. read more

Infinite Energy was extremely deceptive in the explanation of how they bill the supplier charges and I have ended up paying nearly double. Now getting out of the contract would be too costly. I would not recommend even talking to Infinite because the wording on the explanation of the DDDC charges is designed to take you for an unpleasant ride. read more

Customer Service was a problem from day one, finish living through my 1 year contract,call for a final billing amount pay it ($1,300). Six weeks later I get a letter from the legal department threating legal action or report me to the credit burea over $35 if i do not pay in 14 days.. No final invoice was sent..And guess what when you call no one can do anything for you or can answer any questions. I responded to an email offer to reduce gas costs with the Nest program. At no time did the representative advise me I would have to either pay someone to install the device or install it myself. Although the per therm price was higher than their competitors the rep alleged the Nest device would save money. I contacted the company after I received the first bill. It was higher than I normally pay and the Nest is still sitting in its box. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I cannot afford to pay someone to install this device or the higher gas prices associated with this program since there is no savings to me while the device remains uninstalled. I contacted the company to let them know my concerns and that since the program was misrepresented to me by omission of critical information regarding the installation of the equipment, I wished to cancel the contract. They advised they would be happy to cancel if pay a termination fee of $24 a month for each month left (23 months!) on the 24 month contract. I feel this is unreasonable in light of the fact their representative did not provide full disclosure of the terms of the program. The rep advised me, they had listened to the recording of the call, and agree that the sales rep had neglected to advise me I would be responsible for installing the equipment myself, but they felt they were justified to holding me to the contract since the rep did not specifically say they would install it. I feel this is a very deceptive business practice and I find it hard to believe that any reputable company is so desperate for customers they would engage in such practices and would hold a senior citizen on a fixed income to a contract that is higher in cost then their previous provider and that they admit the terms were not fully explained at the time of the sale. I also find it had to believe that a company of this size has so little public relations awareness that they are willing to force an unhappy consumer to keep their product regardless of the ill will, continued complaints and negative word of mouth advertising that such action will generate. The company is accepting no responsibly for the misrepresentation of their employee and has refused to terminate the contract without an exorbitant termination fee attached. read more

I used their service for 9 months and everything was ok. Suddenly they gave me way high bill on variable rate even though I signed 6 months fixed charge. I got frustrated and pretty soon I switched to another provider even though I'll be happy paying them early termination fee. They don't deserve my service if they don't follow what they promise. Please do not get a two year contract with Infinite Energy...they reel you in by saying you will save money but you will end up actually spending more. If you have good credit, I would suggest going to another company. In my opinion this is for consumers with not so good credit. although I have excellent credit I decided to give them a chance because my son used them and he had minimal credit, I figured I would get a better rate because of my credit, my bill each month were as high as his....now I'm stuck until 2018. I'll search around and see if I can get another company to pay the fee to switch over.... However, I do not recommend this company, if you have pretty good credit. you can get better service, and save more money elsewhere and I'm over 50 so I've used a few companies. I wish I would've read the reviews before signing up...seems like this company sucks...we'll we may not have to do anything, they may sink themselves....even the person who responded seems like a joke....company SUCKS.... read more

If I could give Infinite Energy zero stars, I would. Shortly after signing up for service, I received three letters from them on the same day. One letter said that they were unable to provide service to me, another said that my bill was due on the 2nd of the month, and the last one said that my bill was due on the 12th of the month. I called Customer Service and the lady on the line told me that the first two letters were a mistake and that my payment wasn't due until the 12th. In talking about the mistake, she used the phrase "No worries," which made me worried. Sure enough, on the 8th I received a gas disconnection notice and nearly $100 in late fees. In the notice, they said that they had attempted to contact me multiple times about my late payment. They never did, despite having my address, phone number, and email on file. I called customer service again and explained the situation. They accused me of lying. read more

These guys are a joke not to mention scammers. I signed up for their service as they were the preferred provider of the apartment I was moving into. I set up all the utilities before I found out due to issues with the apartment not being as specified (that's a whole different story) I chose to leave and get out of the lease before I got locked in. So I had infinite energy as my gas provider for somewhere around 24 hours before I called to cancel it. They sent me one bill for roughly 7 dollars which included the service charge and the dollar or so I used in gas. I promptly paid that, but thought it odd that the 60 service charge wasn't on there, but I didn't bring it up. A month later, they send me another bill with the 60 service fee along with another customer service charge and tax. I already paid the customer service fee once, so I called and asked them to remove it. Devaras willingly did so, but said the tax would change, so I was told I needed to call back in the next few days to see if the charges were updated. I called the next day and spoke with Angelia, who stated that it was still not updated and I needed to call the following week. I repeatedly asked her if I should just pay it and have them reimburse me. She told me do not pay it now, and they will take care of it. Low and behold, I get a collections notice in the mail 7 days after I called them, when I was told multiple times to not pay it yet. I seriously believe these people set me up, and I have been told they are notorious for sending people to collections without any notice. I am so glad I chose SCANA Energy for my current provider, not only are they wonderful and helpful, but they do a really great price match. read more

Bad customer service and the company tries to trick you to get more money from you. We received a misleading email saying that our current rate is expiring and then we set up a new account under the same service address. And a few days later we found that we were charged a $150 termination fee on the first account. I called them and they told me that there was a charge because the rating is expiring but my contract lasts for two years. I asked them if I could reactive the first account, they said no. And then I was transferred to another rep and he said he could waive me the fee if I set up a third account with the same name, so I did it. Today, again we found we were charged the termination fee and some other fee totaled to $250 on the second account. Seriously, this is not a fee waive, it is just transfering the fee and adding more to it. And they always send you the charge notice after their customer service hours and I have to wait until tomorrow to call them read more

i signed up a few days ago. the rep told me TWICE that they would do a "soft inquiry" on my experian credit bureau. i asked him twice and asked to verify would be a "soft inquiry" vs.a "hard inquiry" i have never been late in electricity bill in over 20 years so i could have got a letter of credit. lo and behold, less than 24 hours after i signed up there were TWO "hard inquiries' on my Transunion credit report from infinite energy. it happened on a saturday morning and i could not a hold of them by phone so i rained a fury of fire and brimestone upon them saturday afternoon. i sent emails and faxes to every email address and fax number i could find for them, filed online complaints with the texas PUC, better business bureau and federal trade commission. i disputed the inquries with Transunion via fax. i mustve really stirred up some sh1t because someone from infinite energy emailed me saturday at 530pm saying they will fix. we will see. read more
