    BBQ Pork Lunch Special
    Cheryl M.

First time ordering from Infinite Thai Eatery. Staff very friendly and welcoming is always a great first impression! Lunch specials come with salad and eggroll. Dishes had some hits-and-misses (for me) but overall tasty. :: YELLOW CURRY (Gang Karie) w/chicken - a bit too sweet and could cut back on the sugar (added). With sliced carrots and a chunk of potato. 3.5/5 :: FLAT RICE NOODLES (Pad seew) - Broccoli, egg with a sweet and savory soy-based sauce. Nice balance Subtle hint of smoky char. 4/5 :: GRILLED BBQ PORK (Moo Yang) - Thai style BBQ Pork marinated in herbs with vinegar-based sauce on the side - 3.75/5 Not a fan of Thai spring rolls as the vegetables are usually blended into a paste, rolled in an egg-roll wrap and fried. Again, just a preference as others enjoyed. Plenty of seating with bar available and a small patio to dine with your pups. Located on the corner of Piedmont and John St. Metered parking on Piedmont with free, residential parking on the side streets Price per person: $20 lunch special inc tax/tip (11-3pm, M-F)

Mango with Black Sweet Sticky Rice

Happened to be walking by this spot that shares a building front with an Ethiopian restaurant next door. Very chill atmosphere, shaded outside seating and ample inside seating also available. The staff was nice, attentive and quick. The food was also served very quick. They even packaged up our leftovers for us which if always appreciated. We had tofu Pad Thai which was really good. I am picky about my Pad Thai and I approved of this one. It was flavorful without being inauthentic or All stuck together. The fried tofu and vegetables were also perfect portions. The yellow curry with tofu was also great, flavorful and not too spicy because we asked for non spicy. Finally the mango sticky rice was bomb. It was not overly drenched in condensed milk and neither was the black sticky rice. We took the dessert to go because we ran short on time (had some where to be) and the entire dessert kept perfectly, the mango didn't turn brown or gross, it was all fresh and perfect. Absolutely 100 percent will eat here again. Thanks for the great food and service!

When I called to inquire about seating and if we need a reservations, the owner said no everything's clear come on yeah we have plenty of tables and we enjoyed ourselves so much. The waiters were very patient. We were waiting for my sister to arrive and the entrées and those beautiful pink flowers outside the restrooms wereclean and they were located next-door to an Ethiopian restaurant. I highly recommend infinite Thai eatery.

    Pad see ew (vegetarian)

I got to try takeout from this place recently. As it was a group order, I tried mostly the vegetarian dishes - summer rolls, veggie delight, pad see ew with tofu and vegetables - but also tried a little of their yellow curry and the duck fried rice. Summer rolls: Meh. They taste very bland and unseasoned, basically like eating a bunch of raw vegetables, if you don't put any sort of sauce or garnish on it (I had to avoid the peanut dipping sauce that came with it since I'm allergic). Veggie delight: This was decent, the garlic sauce adds some flavor so that the vegetables themselves aren't too bitter. Had a lot of broccoli, carrot slices, and cabbage. Pad see ew: This was yummy, mostly more on the sweet and savory side and not salty as they went light on the sauce. Yellow curry: This was good, very flavorful. Definitely a good accompaniment to any plain carbs. Duck fried rice: Very plain and mild in flavor, so it was underwhelming. It really could've used more spices, sauce, etc. Tasted more like Chinese style fried rice. Overall, was torn between rating this a 3 or 4 since I found the summer rolls and fried rice disappointing, the veggie delight was okay, and the curry and pad see ew were pretty good. The portion sizes are alright.

    Craving pad see ew

Back in the day when the Emeryville Public Market was not fancy like it is today, I got addicted to pad see ew. The flavors were fresh, you could see them making it to order. Along with a Thai iced tea, I was in heaven. Since the re-do of the market, there hasn't been any Thai food that has met my expectations. So with Infinite Thai around the corner from my parent's house, we had to give it a try. It's good but can never be the same as back in the day. Don't you hate it when you are spoiled with something amazing and try elsewhere and they can't compare? How do I move on? Today I added chicken to the order and it's fine. Chicken is not dry, noodles are soft and carrots are cutely cut. Could have used more veggies as the filler if they are cutting back on the other ingredients. The portion is quite small to me but isn't everything these days? It satisfied my craving and the order came quickly as I came in after lunch for to-go. Support the local businesses!

Really enjoyed the food here today! I've been on a a Thia food journey and this place did not disappoint. Also, the price was low compared to other Thia places I've been to.

We all split all the specialty cocktails and I got the Khao Pad Kang Kiew (rice with eggplant and chicken topped with a fried egg). Dishes are $20-23 ish each. We were seated at the 6 person table in the back of the restaurant near the bathroom. My favorite drinks were their take on a hard thai iced tea, the lavender mojito, a take on an espresso martini. There was also this spicy drink that had thai chilis in it that is VERY spicy lol. Pros: - the rice dish was DELICIOUS and also huge haha. Came with cucumbers to cut the peppery flavor if needed. - All the cocktails were pretty different and it was fun to try all of them. They were all beautiful to look at and tasty (lots of coconut and Thai inspiration). - Service was pretty good - Has "typical" thai dishes like pad thai and pad see ew, and also more rare ones that are hard to find - Close to many bars and other establishments, so perfect if you want to eat here as a first, second, or third location of your outing haha Cons: - The air flow in the back wasn't amazing so I did feel like it got stuffy/hot - Parking can be tough in this area so I recommend BARTing Another reason to love Oakland!

We had to re-place our orders because they were never sent to the kitchen and lost, we had to flag down servers otherwise we were sitting there confused for 20+ minutes as they hustled and bustled around us, it was just bizarre. And it was a bit embarrassing as I'd lauded this place to my guest and we proceeded to get snubbed by every server during dinner time. Alas, the pad kemao was still delicious but I don't know if I'd suffer that kind of service again for a meal. And no, nothing was comped or discounted. Ambiance-wise, the restaurant is cute and near a busy area of downtown Oakland so it's easy to get to by BART or by car. I might give them another chance if I'm ever in the area already, but I won't be going out of my way to visit again.
