I only went to this place because I heard good reviews as well as it's the closest to my home. So I walked in having high hopes, and I even brought up a reference picture. After checking in for my appointment for a gel-x fill, I went to go see my nail tech and I went to say hello but she didn't say hello back. Whatever. So then I showed her my reference photo and I want all white. Now I understand if I couldn't see the flowers if it's the same white nail color, which is why she suggested a different color that I didn't even ask. Not even like a white purple/blue color just so we can see the flowers better. Also, I know I should've spoken up more, which I had three times that I want to be a classic white French tip with daisies. But she insisted on using a shade of purple that I didn't even ask for. But not only that, but I feel like she couldn't speak English fluently because half of the time she was speaking to me in full Vietnamese, which I had a hard time communicating. I honestly felt a bit peer pressure to have a nail design that I didn't exactly ask for and that's what I'm very disappointed in. When my nails were done, she then prompted me to go wash my hands, but never told me where it's at or didn't even point where the sink was so I had to ask another employee to find the sink. Now I don't mind the nails design itself if it was done better, even though I have spent $65 on it and honestly during the whole appointment I kind of felt uncomfortable even though I did speak up, but just not enough then I should have, but it also doesn't look like the picture I wanted it. I'm pretty disappointed with my appointment and I will not be coming back unless I have another nail tech who I'm pretty sure will do my nails more nicely design wise. This is why communication is very important during any nail appointment and I thought I have communicated my needs, but I guess it wasn't enough to the point where I was peer pressured to do a nail design that I don't even want.

This salon was nice for a basic and cheap pedicure. It's a bit more old-fashioned - instead of folders of colors to choose, you select from their wall of polishes, many of which looked old. They have lots of well-worn towels and mismatched decor, so it looks a little rundown. But the ladies were nice and efficient. I went with my teenage daughter who doesn't prefer cutting her cuticles, which they respected. But then didn't offer any massage or scrubs for her either, which I was surprised by. The lady who did my pedicure offered a really great massage and scrub. Overall, it's a great time if you're looking to save on the experience and lower your expectations compared to other salons. I'm not a fancy nail person and don't use gel polish, so I like it for what I'm looking for. Will be back!

I had a really disappointing experience at this salon. I arrived at 5:40 PM for a full set of…read moreacrylic nails and did not leave until 8:30 PM, which is an excessive amount of time for such poor results. The technician working on my nails was not focused on her work. She spent most of the appointment talking and joking instead of paying attention, which led to multiple issues. While applying the nails, they kept falling off because they were not being glued properly. I pointed this out several times, but my concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously. When she moved on to the design, the work became even worse. The nails were crooked, uneven, and messy. Eventually, another staff member had to step in and redo everything from scratch. This meant removing all the gel with a drill and starting over, which made the already long appointment even more frustrating. At the same time, I was also getting a pedicure, and that experience was just as bad. The technician did not understand what I was asking for. I repeatedly requested a simple French style, but she kept doing something completely different. I had to ask her two times to redo. It was clear there was a lack of communication. This is not my first time getting acrylics, so I know what to expect. A full set, even with a French design, should not take this long. At other salons, my nails usually last three to four weeks without any issues. Here, the quality was clearly not the same. When it came time to pay, I expressed that I did not feel the service deserved full price given everything that went wrong. Instead of acknowledging the situation, they only offered a 10% discount after I had to ask for it myself. The staff seemed annoyed that I even brought it up, and there was no real apology for the experience. Considering the time, the quality, and the inconvenience, I expected a much more reasonable adjustment. To make matters worse, only two days later, one of my nails has already fallen off with no effort. I got my nails done for an upcoming trip, and now I am leaving with broken nails, which is incredibly frustrating. The place had a lot of potential. They even offer two complimentary drinks, which initially made the experience feel more exciting. However, good perks do not make up for poor service, long wait times, and low-quality work. If the results had been better, I would have come back, but after this experience, I will not be returning. Overall, this is not a place I would trust if you are looking for quality work. I would not recommend this salon.

His attention to detail is phenomenal and he sat and explained to me the pros and cons to both gel x and regular acrylics as I had never done gel x before. I ended up going with gel x and they turned out BEAUTIFULLY!!! The salon is very clean & calming. I also got my eyebrows waxed and I have never had someone put so much effort into it. Lina had a great solution and did an amazing job matching it with an acrylic extension--you can't even tell in the photo. That said, if you're in a similar situation, I'd recommend asking for Gel-X instead of acrylic. The acrylic ended up feeling loose and didn't hold well, so I had to come back before leaving for a trip. To their credit, Sunny Nails squeezed me in the very next day. Another technician quickly assessed the issue, removed the acrylic, and replaced it with Gel-X (a full, strong nail--not just a tip). The result was flawless--she shaped it beautifully, and I was able to enjoy my trip with perfect nails. The only downside was the experience during the fix. The technician seemed frustrated, didn't respond to my thank you, and abruptly turned off the blue light and walked away without acknowledgment. It felt a bit uncomfortable--especially since I had already paid extra for the initial service and had to come back. Overall, they made it right, and I appreciate the quality of the final result--just wish the customer experience during the correction matched it.
