I showed mike a print out of what I wanted and he could've just copied the picture I brought with me but instead he told me to google a few more examples of sanskrit and the style of writing because he wanted it to be as accurate as possible. He did the sketch and was very careful about the placement of it on my back, he would place it on my back then critiqued and adjusted it until it was in the perfect alignment. I made sure to do my research on tattoos that consist of writing because I've seen some where I thought too small &/or too close together that's it isn't even legible, In my search I found Charlie here and I loved his style of writing he is clean he is very precise, I went to see him and he wasnt there but a co-worker took my number and Charlie made sure to call me within the hour, he had done my tattoo of my daughters hand print and initials, when he placed the stencil it took him a couple tries so that we both are happy which to me shows he takes pride in his work. Got my first done by Charlie :) I set up an appointment a week in advance and came in on Sunday night. Even though I was pretty nervous and didn't know what to expect, Charlie was super patient and friendly with me, making the whole process easier! I let him know what I wanted and left most of the placement and everything else up to him. He also stayed late to finish, and kept insisting that I wasn't bothering him at all. So this tattoo place is by far the best in my opinion. Friendly and awesome creative artists. I got my second tattoo here and I got it done with Mikey aka Jaybee. He usually works small art and its legit. My first artist didn't really seem welcoming to give me the necessary info i needed. I was skeptical of getting inked again until I hit up Mikey and he was patient and helped me figure out what I wanted. My friend is getting his back done with Charlie too. He has really sensitive skin and when he was tensing up, Charlie and the other artist tried loosening him up and were patient with him as well. I'm definitely not the type to write reviews, but I couldn't be any happier with the outcome of the tattoo. I came in to check the place out and told them what I was looking to get, which was a script tattoo down the side of my ribs. They then called Tony over to basically chat with me for a quick sec. Right from the start, Tony made you feel like family with his contagious smile and friendly personality. I showed him what I wanted it to say and he sketch something out real quick to show me. From that sketch alone, I knew I came to the right place. In my opinion, feeling comfortable with the artist is a big part of the whole experience. You're putting your trust and body in their hands. You want to know that they're going to take care of you. I made an appointment to come back a few weeks later due to the holiday and his packed schedule. When I got there, we sat down and he did a more detailed drawing of the script for me to confirm the spelling and size. We then got down to business. The whole process, from when I walked in to when I left, was about 2.5 hours. He made sure that you were doing okay through out the whole time. You can check out the results on his Instagram page and see it for yourself. It's been almost a month now and everything is healing nicely. I noticed that near my armpit area, the ink didn't really take. It was the outline portion of the tattoo. So I messaged him on Instagram to ask him if he could take a look at it. So I came here after being disappointed with another nearby parlor. They made me wait for hours and and their scheduling was rediculous. I told Mike about it and he knew exactly what I was talking about. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by someone. After having seen what was on the website and more at the parlor I told Mike what I wanted and he was keen to give me ideas on offering suggestions to improve it. He even did a smaller part of it that night! I've heard people talk about the pain and how unbearable it can be, but honestly with Mike, it wasn't that bad at all. This is after being told that the chest hurts more than most parts of the body. I am already booked for more sessions on completing my peice. I would recommend this place to any of my friends. So I had my second tatt touched up by Charlie like a year ago and completely forgot to write a updated on it. haha But it went good! It hurt like crazy! I think cause it was a touch up so the skin itself is already so sensitive. Not sure because I read that touch ups don't hurt as much as the first time getting the tatt. But anyways, Charlie was great. My second tatt is the word faith behind my left ear. Its pretty pretty and I really love it! Charlie asked me if I wanted to thicken the words a little more so it would look so much better, but after about 30mins to and hr, I just didn't want to sit there with the pain. I got a cover-up finally done from Inkfiend a few days ago by Tim! First off, I should start by saying that I visited two other shops (that were reviewed really well on Yelp) and they both looked at my old tattoo and we're very unhelpful in brainstorming a good cover-up or taking my suggestions. They basically told me the only way they would cover it up would be in color even though I really wanted to keep it black/gray. Anyways, I'm SO glad I waited and visited Inkfiend and Tim b/c he worked really well with my ideas and was very creative in his input and now my cover up looks really great and I couldn't be happier (in black/grey). I wanted to get a half sleeve done. Been searching around for quite awhile trying to find the right tattoo artist. After multiple visits to different studios. I saw an instagram pics of some work from Tony from Inkfiend. Loving his work I decided to stop in and see if I can get some work done. I'm glad I stopped in! The staff at Inkfiend is very friendly and very helpful. Made you feel like home once you walked in the door! Tony is a great and nice guy. Very easy to talk to and makes you feel really comfortable. We walked in and immediately were greeted by Jason. He was very welcoming and quick to get started on our idea for the tattoo we wanted done. Then he introduced us to another artist named TONY. Tony was very friendly and his vibe was very inviting and professional. Tony took over the drawing of our tattoo and pretty much knew exactly what we wanted. My pain tolerance is not very big at all and when I screamed and winced he was extremely patient with me. All my friends get their work done here, either from Ken, Master Mike, or Wilson. If you do not exactly have an idea of what you want, just come in and take a look at the books they put at the counter, it has pictures of a lot of the customer's tats. I asked for a aggressive horse and back ground half sleeve.
