This is a popular figure skating venue. A few of the best instructors teach here and it's a solid community. There are different levels Of instruction, for instance the beginners focus on the initial basics. The more advanced skaters focus on proper form, technique and goal preparation. The Peak also has very good in-house hockey leagues for all ages as well as the occasional tournament. I didn't get there but they have pick-up, drop-in hockey and my son has attended hockey camps here. I've read that they make their rink and other facilities available for birthday parties, holiday parties or corporate events at reasonable prices. I do know they had a killer snack bar. It's been a little over 24 hours since I've left Hazel Park Ice Arena, and my a$$ has not thawed…read moreout. My buns were frozen after a 45 minute game. The seating area is small and right behind the goalie. The glass is pretty beat up and hard to see the full game. The waiting area was large and it was easy to find the players after the game. The snack bar was half open and didn't have any products warming up. Even though it is not directly off the highway, the Ice Arena is pretty easy to locate. Just look for the building south of the race track parking lot. The best part about the game (since we lost) was the sound system during play. I haven't heard Thunderstruck or Fall Out Boy's Light em Up in a good long while.

They boast clean locker rooms and a NHL sized sheet of ice. Not just ice hockey and figure skating. They have nice roomy open skate sessions. Most times this is followed by a fun event called "Sticks & Pucks. The large ice surface is perfect for this. You can also rent the facility for birthday parties or pickup hockey. You might even have other events in mind. There's plenty of space for nearly any ice activity. The staff I encountered was friendly and efficient. Office hours are: Mon-Fri. 9:00am-11:00pm; Sat/Sun 8:00am-11:00pm. 2/20

Roughly 14 years later, the Plymouth Bowl was closed in 1992, due to the age of the equipment and its much needed replacement. With the growing interesting in hockey as a high school sport in Michigan, local businessman John Stansik and several others decided to buy this place and turn it into hockey arena. Currently, this arena is home to Victory Honda AAA Hockey Club, The Livonia Ladywood Girls Varsity Hockey Club, Kim Muir's "Can't Skate, Can't Play" power skating clinics, and the RSPI Adult Hockey League, where I was able to catch one of their games. With no end to the current NHL lockout in sight, you can attend one of the many events that take place at this local arena. Arctic Pond features the EDGEZ Pro-Shop, which can help you with all of your equipment needs. Moreover, the part I like the most is it doesn't cost an arm and leg to attend the events here. So if you're craving the live-action of a hockey game, this is the place to visit in the Metro Detroit area.

Located in Dearborn you get an eclectic mix of everybody and you get a Nixplay mix of the dinners and expert level skaters and I asked for those gators this gives all who have not had a chance to skate without feeling they are not as good as the others I know when I first started I skating it was something that definitely crossed my mind. It's festive, lovely, low-key yet vibrant, and always makes me happy. I love the big beautiful tree! The twinkle lights are so pretty. It has a good dog park. I love the holiday lights right now! They recently renovated this park and it has more of a cork feeling walkway instead of concrete. It's nice! Also has seating options. It's a relaxing place to sit, read, or eat.
