We used to take my wife's Toyota Solara to Inland and then she bought a Honda Crosstour. We thought they only worked on Toyota's and Lexus automobiles. Well, it was time for her car to have the timing belt replaced. This is a 100,000 mile service and the most expensive maintenance on a Honda. I checked every shop I could find to not only get a quote but to make sure they knew everything involved. I've had 6 Honda's so I am familiar with this service and expense. Inland wasn't the cheapest, but they knew exactly what needed to be done and were very close to least expensive quote. Mike was great. They replaced the timing belt, which is no easy task, replaced the water pump, which is recommended since at that point it is taken a part and it has 100,000 miles on it too. It's just the right way to do it. They did a complete oil change, transmission service and flushed the radiator for just over $1,000. I know that's a lot of money but WAY less by half than what the dealer wanted. The good news is I don't have to do it again for another 100,000 miles. My neighbor highly recommended Inland (Valley) Auto for any repairs on my Toyota. My car needed an oil change and tire rotation and I was pleasantly surprised by the service, courtesy, and answering of my questions. Mike the mechanic was great. On the day of my oil change I found I also had a flat right rear tire. Before taking my car into Inland I change the tire out with the spare. Now I needed my tire fixed plus the oil change and tire rotation. Mike offered me the loaner car to take my tire to get plugged (A whole new tire was not needed, just a plug to seal the hole.) to a nearby tire dealer. He didn't have to do that but that is what service is all about. My tire was fixed and Mike put the tire back on my car as part of the tire rotation. That was really great service above and beyond what is normally expected. The price was reasonable and less than I expected. I was well pleased. My New Mechanic! As a professional female traveler, it's so hard to find certain services when you embark on a new journey in a new city: A reliable hairstylist, a doctor with excellent bedside manners, and a good mechanic. I was fortunate enough to find Inland Auto in the hands of an Honest, Observant and Competent Mechanic, Mike. I came in after my car was at the dealership for three days and still could not determine the problem. Mike diagnosed the problem accurately and timely and it was clear and comprehensive as he took the time to explain everything to me. He even noticed and fixed a loose wiring from my fog lights as he inspected my car. I left feeling confident and satisfied. When the shifter on my truck was giving me problems I took it to Toyota Carlsbad service center. They looked it over and didn't find anything wrong with it. A couple weeks later the shifter was STILL extremely loose. This time I took it to Toyota of Temecula service center.(BTW you need an appointment to be seen, who knew?) And they are very rude, but anyway, they swore up and down there was NOTHING wrong with it. And they call them self professionals. After dealing with all that BS I decided to take it to INLAND AUTO. Now these guys are pros. They checked out the shifter and found the problem right away. It turns out It WAS broken. All I needed to wait on was the parts to be delivered and they had it fixed in no time at all. I have not had any problems with it at all. These guys know what they are doing. They have great customer service. Fair prices and they don't sell you stuff you don't need. I will be going there again. read more

We initially went to a franchise auto shop to have our truck repaired. They went into details about how horrible our truck was and how we needed to pay so much to have it fixed immediately. We left and went to inland auto after them being recommended by a close friend. We are so glad we did. They looked at our truck. And confirmed it wasn't as sever as the previous place mentioned. And we could actually wait to repair it if we wanted to. Mike was so honest. We decided to go ahead and have inland auto fix what was needed. They were honest and affordable. This place is a rip off. I would not recommend bringing any vehicle in for them to smog let alone a diesel. Okay, since there was "not enough information provided regarding my experience" with Inland Auto, perhaps this may help.... We bring our 2008, F-350 diesel in for a smog test in which there is little that can truly be tested for, AND IT PASSES EVERYTHING ON THE COMPUTER TESTS, THEN LOW AND BEHOLD on a "VISUAL, OPINIONATED OBSERVATION" on a diesel said there was too much smoke seen and failed the smog test over the computer analysis. HOWEVER.... For another $20.00 plus $8.00 for the certificate we could "retest".... We took it to another "Certified Smog Inspection Center" and LOW AND BEHOLD ......... U GUESS????and no we did nothing to the vehicle in between.... read more

I made a stupid mistake and put gas on my diesel truck! I had it towed to Inland Auto where the owner, Mike Mattes put my mind at ease telling me that it happens more often than not. He told me that it might not be too bad and it wasn't. Not only did he begin work on the truck the same day, he had it ready to go that same afternoon! We were able to drive home to San Diego and the truck runs better with new fuel lines, injectors and diesel pump. I highly recommend Inland Auto for your car needs. Mike and his team of mechanics are professionals. All of my cars get repaired and serviced by his team. It's really very simple, if your car is sick, take it to Mike. He will determine what is wrong. Mike will tell you what you "need" to hear versus what you "want" to hear. We all know there is a lot of sloppy workmanship out in the repair/service market but you won't find it here. We did not have the correct tools to change the tire and Mike from Inland Auto went out of his way to help out. I had to write about my visit to inland auto. My husband tried to change my oil, but unplugged my sealed transmission tank. Lol They were so nice, got an appointment right away. I was able to wait while they checked my transmission and refilled the fluid. When I went to pay they said it was free of charge. Who does that anymore? They have me as a new client. the workers at inland are great and will take care of you but the owner is a different story. he is the worst owner of a business i have ever meet. he knows nothing about running a business. He is a total liar. you cant believe a word he says. he mis treats his employees and he is such a good business man he owes the IRS over $400,000 dollars! Mike at Inland Auto did a great job working on our Lexus is250. They were able to fix a clicking sound in the rear and a very rough ride by replacing the rear struts. It now drives extremely smooth and I couldn't be happier with his service. They are much better than any shop I've taken it to before. He had the car done in only one day.
